Title The Red Sleeve Spoiler
someone spoil pls-is this a harem drama? like 1 man many women n jealousy n schemes?2. whats the ending? I know…
This drama is based on historical facts. Back then, kings married due to political reasons, not because of love. Even concubines were often chosen for political reasons. Some concubines get chosen because of love and/or lust.

Yi-san is married to his queen, who we do not even see in this drama. Deok-im is "just" a concubine. However, the "harem" is just mentioned in the drama. The story is not about jelousy or rivalry.

Regarding the ending, it is very, very sad. Doek-im dies. There is some happy afterlife scene, though, where Yi-san and Deok-im reunite each other.

I think she is/was sexually attracted to him. I just forgot if she explicitely mentioned that he's her type. She made it clear, though, that she's not interested in a romantic relationship (unlike him). In the end, sex and romance are two different things.

A strange story....but I felt that the strength of the drama is the characters, especially "shaman".... But the…
I agree. This drama contained many interesting characters, which is the only reason I completed this drama and why I was so disappointed how they were "treated". The shaman was basically the 2nd main villain, so I expected a biiiiiit more complex ending, not the same ending that has already been told multiple times in the drama. Well, the ending of the whole drama was fairly underwhelming. After all that crazy stuff that happened, I'm surprised that the writers didn't come up with something more creative.

This was a surprisingly good drama with an entertaining story. I really liked ML. He was so sweet and caring. The actor always looked so happy whenever he saw Kang-sang. His best friend also felt like a friend, not just some random support role.

And Oh Man-suk. I completely forgot that he was also in CLOY, and that I loved his character back then. His facial expressions were phenomenal in this drama here. I just wished he would have had more screentime. :(

Regarding the immigration, it is quite common for rich (and poor) Asians to get a child in the USA. The child…
Ah, yes, that was the drama. I didn't remember the title.

You wrote the following: "The parent still need to sign and provide evidence because of human trafficking." Yet you seem to believe that some aunt (who isn't the aunt if I remember correctly) can show up at the airport, the child mumbles something, and the flight assistant just lets the child go?

You also wrote about the "the unaccompanied minor service", and I presume that you did extended research on that topic, so you certainly know that the company offering that service very likely has an insurance. The insurance certainly won't pay if a child got lost because the flight assistant gave the child to some random aunt.

I discussed with you because I was interested in your opinion why this ridiculous aunt thing works for you but something more plausible does not. Since you tried to insult me several times and ended the discussion, I now assume that you simply do not have any arguments but just wanted to rant. That's fine. I didn't want to convince you anyway, especially not since I didn't enjoy KTL either for mostly the same reasons as you.

No, the mother in the drama I mentioned didn't know the day the child would come back. She figured that out via instagram where the child posted a selfie writing "I'm going to Korea now". As you hopefully noticed, I wrote about a beloved child. The mother initially sent the child to the USA because she worried that the villain in this drama might kill the child. She constantly talked and worried about the beloved child. A couple of days later, the the child randomly pops up at a Korean airport while the villain is still out there, and the mother is like "oopsie, I forgot my child and should hurry up"? If you want to believe that, well, you might enjoy that drama a lot.

The mother in KTL probably just "forgot" that the annoying child was supposed to return. There are quite a few more or less believable reasons why "Omg, why is this child suddenly in Korea" and "I put you on the next airplane to the USA" might work in this drama.

Here is an example: What if everything was organised according to what you described but the parent suddenly ends up in the hospital and would not be able to get to the airport. Will the child be left at the airport until the parent appears a few days, weeks or months later? Don't you think it would be possible to use a proxy? If you believe that is possible, the mother in this drama could have signed a bunch of documents where somebody just has to fill in some information, so she won't have to bother with the child.

Here is what you wrote: "So many unrealistic things especially when that cruel sister of his kept telling her kid (a minor) to go back to the US. How did that minor even pass through immigration?" ESPECIALLY. That's the important word here. Of all unrealistic things, this was ESPECIALLY important to you.

Well, next time, express your thoughts clearly, so other people can get your point. This drama has so many flaws that it sounded ridiculous to complain about something that works in real life. That point makes about 1/3 of your initial post.

While I agree with your latest explanation I still find that how the child travels is not a relevant flaw in this drama. This drama would not be better if we saw the immigration process. How the child travels does not contribute to the story in any way. In K-dramas, corruption makes many things possible. In the USA, hundreds of thousands illegal immigrants pour into the country each year. They do cross rivers. For this reason, I'm willing to believe that an insanely rich woman has quite a few shortcuts in a K-drama. In the end, a drama is fiction, so we usually need some suspension of disbelief / secondary belief.

I recently watched a crime drama where the mother who loved her little child dearly suddenly forgot that the child was supposed to come back from the USA (or some other Western country). She found that out via some instagram post. She then rushed to the airport but the daughter was gone. The nice flight assistant gave the child to some random person (who happened to be the villain in this drama). THAT's ridiculous writing because the "dramatic story twist" was possible only because of things that would not work in real life at all.

Rich people have a lot of money. Depending on how rich they are, they can oscillate between Korea and the USA like other people commute. I had a bunch of rich classmates. I didn't even know how rich they were until the moment when one of them was like "oh, we were in Tokyo over the weekend to have some sushi at my mom's favourite place" as if Tokyo were just around the corner. Unsurprisingly, the way she said it sounded "unbelievable" in my poor ears. They spontaneously spent thousands of EUR to have some sushi on the other side of this planet.

Just because the sister in the drama says that she'd send her son back to the USA, does not mean that she will simply call a taxi, and the boy will somehow arrive in the USA. However, thanks to her money, she'll certainly have ways to send him back faster than poor(er) people.

Did you do make this up in your mind or did you do research? Kids do travel alone. My friend back in school did that each summer. She flew to Mexico by herself. Her mother booked a special service with the flight company, and there was a stewardess who acted as some kind of a baby sitter in the airplane. In Mexico, her father did the same, so my friend could fly home again.

The relationship didn't just feel one-sided, it WAS one-sided. That is the whole premise of this drama.

Both characters are shady and don't hesitate to exploit other people to reach their goals. However, ML didn't expect that somebody could exploit him, so he truely believed that FL loved him, and he fell in love with her.

For the rest of the drama, he was the hurt and angry puppy, and, at the end of the drama, he finally seems to have accepted that FL is not interested in him romantically.

Regarding the immigration, it is quite common for rich (and poor) Asians to get a child in the USA. The child being born in the USA are automatically US-American citizens because of jus soli. Since the parents are Korean, the child also gets a Korean passport because if jus sanguinis.

Why rude? The Arab prince character was quite entertaining, funny and sweet. At least, he had been before the censoring.

Well, writers who are too lazy to develop a proper reason to make their characters do things are the ones who come up with stories like this. Unfortunately, "he does that because reasons" is a common "explanation".

It was a good watch but, unfortunately, they basically dropped the thriller/crime elements after 6 episodes to focus on ML diagnosing every second patient with a brain tumor while most of the doctors in the hospital behaved unprofessionally.

Also, I felt that ML and FL had zero chemistry. FL is so cute and pretty but she looks like a teenager while ML looks as if he could be her father. That's not my cup of tea. Furthermore, she behaved like a rather stupid traffic policewoman who suddenly wanted to play the role of a homicide detective. For some reason, she became a homicide detective (no qualification needed?), and then we never saw her working again. Interestingly, even though she's supposed to be the main character, we rarely saw her. That's one of the main reasons why the "romance" scenes between her and ML felt rather forced.

The writers had many good ideas but, in my opinion, most of the ideas were not executed well, or rather: they were not explored sufficiently. Some storylines simply felt incomplete.

If you read carefully, you will notice that it was you who approached me to tell me how much you are into love stories where a almost 40 yo man approaches a virgin minor. I didn't ask you to tell me about your personal desires.

If you still didn't get the message, let me use your own words you spammed here multiple times below other comments by other people: Fuck off.

If thats your definition of "grooming" then thats just sad, it was a fantasy show not real life lol idk how its…
LMAO, the FL was 16 in the drama when the love story with the almost 40 yo adult began (fantasy stuff aside). However, I understand that some people love it young and innocent, and they find many excuses why it is okay if they do/like it while it's not okay for others. The fine age gap of 10-12 years includes a 22 yo adult approaching a 10 yo. Or an 18 yo approaching a 6 yo. Not a big deal, I see. Age is just a number. ROFLMAOZHEDONG If the ML hadn't been hot but had looked like, for example, Andrew Tate, Weinstein or Trump, the same people would complain how distusting the age gap were and how dare the ugly old guy groom an innocent minor. ROFLMAO

ROFLMOFL The question is: Why didn't the writers make the FL 18 yo? Why a minor? ROFLPOFFL
