I'm sorry that I thought you were a woman. Male cat fights are rather rare here. We usually see them in animu forums only. Didn't expect to meet a neckbeard here.
The "too old" part is not crappy at all. As someone who is almost as old as FL and ML, I can relate to them more than I can relate to "little children". I usually don't watch romance dramas with teenagers because they are "too young" for me. For younger people, FL and ML are basically their parent's age.
Ep 7 is my favourite one so far in this drama. The story significantly progresses for almost all characters. I also like the teacher and the school nurse. I'm looking forward to the next episode. :)
Even though I like FL, I am able to acknowledge that not everybody enjoys a rather slowburn romance. Many people prefer if that a FL immediately falls for the sexy ML instead of rejecting him more than one or two times.
If you read the comments on Viki, you would have noticed that many people constantly complain about ML being "too old". The comment section is full of people not liking ML and FL because they find the younger version better. Many here are quite young themselves, so I understand that they can relate to younger actors better than to older actors. I don't mind that they feel this way.
It's okay that you have a lesbian crush on FL, thirsty and are down bad but it would be great if you could respect other people's opinion like they respect yours. :)
You are very eager to talk about fetishes just because I mentioned that I find your obsession fairly suspicious. And you seem to watch lots of videos about trans women on Youtube. Since you proved on mdl that you are more then ready for the next level: May I introduce you to websites featuring naked people doing naked people stuff? I'm sure you'll be quite busy there. :)
He is not a women and the character is also a man you cannot change your sex.
Omg, you are absolutely right. It's the same with atheists. They are poof that all religious people are wrong. And since you are so obsessed with detrans, we can call it a detrans religion. Since religions are wrong, we can conclude that the dogma of the detrans religion is wrong, thus trans people exist. I'm glad we were able to clear this up. :)
yeas, thats the only think bothered, that new teacher supposed to be FL, as they met in hospitals and both were…
Exactly. I was very happy in ep 1 because we finally get a romcom with main leads who are the same age and whose age matches the story. Both the younger and the older versions look the same age. (I don't care that the adults are meant to be 36 yo, the story also works with their actual age.)
Then they throw in a SML who looks like he could be FL's son and acts like a cute high schooler. I expected some one-sided noona romance but the guy is supposed to be in his 30s? That hospital scene ruined the whole illusion/immersion for me.
The actors are doing a good job at portraying their respective character but acting skills cannot make me forget how young/old the actors look.
I like this drama so far but the age gaps are interesting. The nurse is actually as old as FL and ML but we are supposed to believe that he's way older. The new teacher is supposed to be almost FL's age but he's actually almost 20 years younger. ML's mother had ML at age 10 (the actress is 52 yo!). Wtf were the casting people thinking?
The "secret" of the breakup gets revealed in ep. 3.
It was a misunderstanding. ML's father lost his job, and the family moved. FL's "best friend" apparently loved ML and deleted all messages ML sent FL, so FL thought ML just forgot her.
Yeah, especially since Asia is not known for being woke. I'm expecting an interesting character who happens to…
The definition of woke shifted to "crazy leftist ideology warriors" a long time ago. Wokeness is about bigotry and hypocrisy. About narcissts and/or capitalists who use social issues to promote their agenda to gain power and money. Wokeness is an US-American ideology.
The pinnacle of wokeness is Disney who loves to show how super woke and diverse they are while simultaneously erasing a black main character from posters in certain countries or gay stuff in the background of scenes.
Addressing social issues does not make anything woke.
If transgender women don't exist, why don't you mention that the other actors and roles are men, too? You only do that with this character. Very suspicious.
they could've at least hired a cis woman if they couldn't find a trans woman instead of her character being played…
Good grief. Actors act. A male actor looking like a male trying to look female is much more convincing because this character needs money for plastic surgery. A female actress looking like a woman pretending to be a male in need of plastic surgery for looking female is like those beautiful actors pretending to look ugly by wearing glasses while looking beautiful while pretending to be ugly.
Yeah, especially since Asia is not known for being woke. I'm expecting an interesting character who happens to be trans, not some Murican Hollywood trans "representation" who happens to be in the drama.
He is not a women and the character is also a man you cannot change your sex.
Ever heard of role playing? A couple of centuries ago, when female actors were not allowed to act, male actors portrayed everything including women. The audience pretended/pretends that the male actor IS a woman. You do that as well because, while watching dramas, you "believe" that there are real people on your screen while it's actually actors with cameras, microphones and lots of other people around them. That's how fiction has been working for thousands of years.
You don't have to believe that biological men who claim to be women ARE (biological) women. However, people do perform roles in every day. A drag queen, for example, gets called "she" depite looking like a man in woman's clothes. You can call somebody "she" without having to believe that the person is a real "she". It's role playing. With the same attitude, you can also call a trans woman "she".
I'm looking forward to this trans character because Asian dramas usually portray them in a non-woke way meaning as interesting and unique characters.
In Western media, that happened to be the case decades ago. My favourite example is Dennis/Denise Bryson (early 90s Twin Peaks) who is not some woke "representation" of something but a unique and pragmatic character. David Duchovny (Fox Mulder from The X Files) looked greeeeeeeeeat as a male and a female. I also loved that he used his normal voice instead of some high-pitched trans voice. He was a very convincing female character in my opinion (as a woman).
This was an excellent drama albeit a bit slow-paced. The characters were well written, and their different relationships well explored. I wouldn't call it a thriller, though.
So ml ghosted fl because his friend was in the hospital, and when she calls him after 10 seconds he tells her…
The ghosting stuff happens so often in Kdramas. And each time, the characters reunite just like that as if the ghosting never happened. It instantly breaks all the romance for me.
