Yeah. Our leads are still safe so far. What i'm only worried about is their relationship dynamics in the drama. 🤣 Though their characters were still close to the novel.

In the novel, his wife was already gone. Shen Zhili liked him but the chancellor didn't give her any chance. She'll move on eventually.

Yan Fuzhi and most of the supporting cast are alive till the end of the story. They were happy with their partners. As I said, IN THE STORY.
But if ever something really happened, then just take it as fake death. Because the novel would always stay as the original overall. Though it hurts seeing it in drama, but it's not the truth.

I was also wondering about this. Coz what i somehow remembered from the novel, Shen Zhili was the only one chasing after the chancellor. Though the chancellor was already single, he still didn't reciprocate her feelings.

Yep. I don't like tragic endings as well. I read and watch to feel good or uplifted, not to feel more depressed. I had enough in real life. lol.

They do, along with other couples. HEA in the novel. Emperor and empress.

That's the purpose of a trailer, to make everyone curious. And only by watching it would people be enlightened about how and why it happened.
But i admit, i couldn't remember much as well if these were in the novel. I had read it a long time ago.
Only by watching the drama or reading the novel can we imagine how things happen.

It makes me want to read the novel again for i have forgotten most of the scenes already from reading it a long time ago. But nah.. i still have lots of other novels to read. And more so to finish writing my own. 😩

Nah, in the novel, FL was bold enough to initiate things first, and the ML was restraining himself. Hardly.

We don't have to worry much about them falling in love coz they would only even get sharper for scheming together and protecting each other, right? 😉At least in the novel. Hopefully so in the drama. They're the definition of a power couple.

Yes! it was quite shocking in the novel. Even for the FL to be initiating things too. But i hope even just half of their boldness would be shown. Just to make the audience see how intense they are, it's really refreshing to be seen.

Yes. Hopefully. So far, from the novel, the characters were closely integrated into the drama successfully. Though i honestly think the shamelessness of the leads would be toned down in this. Or else they might not allow this drama to air... 🤣
