This constant insertion of a small child into the BL story is becoming sickening, and the fact that an adult is jealous of him makes it even more disturbing. The series is deteriorating

I'm sad it's over. Such a sweet series that only got better with each episode. The actors were excellent, the plot was charming, the music was great. The second-to-last scene felt so natural—everything was calm, genuine, and a joy to watch. And I really love Soma; he's a wonderful actor, and his character was absolutely delightful.

Finally, the Second couple is getting some screen time; their scene was nice.

I can’t seem to finish the tenth episode… I’m wondering if I should even keep watching until the end. Something just isn’t working, something feels missing.

It feels like they’re friends rather than a couple, and their dialogue is very shallow and doesn’t develop, at least in this episode. It’s uncomfortable to watch.

Overall, the main character leaves me with an uneasy feeling because of the unresolved conflict with his mother, which sometimes makes it feel more like a suspense series than a romance.

I don’t understand why Muto Kaishin likes Rakumoto Ai so much when he treats him like trash, like a gigolo and pays him, and even curses and yells at him. It’s pretty disgusting.
That’s why it’s not an authentic Japanese series. Usually, a person like that is someone you leave behind to start a new beginning with someone good, kind, and considerate. But in this case, it’s more in the style of SKorea or Thailand.

The episode wasn’t great, but one thing's for sure—Wang Jyun Hao is perfect, ... he's absolutely stunning.

I thought I was the only one confused by this episode. I really thought I was just watching an uncut version of a past episode.

pheww, held off my review for quite a long time considering the fact that I finished this same day last EP aired,…
The Japanese have always been at the top of my list and still are. There’s just no one like them — when it comes to production quality, emotional depth, humanity, and storytelling, they have no competition. Everything they do is so well thought out. Sure, there are disappointments here and there, no doubt, but overall… they have something that others don’t, and that’s depth.

That depth is missing with the Chinese because they simply can’t be authentic and human; everything feels engineered. And honestly, that reflects their country in general and everything they produce.

I feel like everything you wrote mirrors exactly what I went through, especially with the dubbing — it was just so hard for me, and it only got worse as the episodes went on instead of improving. It frustrated me even more.

I have to disagree with you about the actor, though. I think he was really bad and ruined a lot of the enjoyment for me, especially in the episodes where he needed to convey more complex emotions, like crying or happiness.

Despite everything, I’m back here commenting after the series has already ended because I kind of miss them, and that feeling they created in the early episodes. It was so fun at the beginning… It really bums me out, so I’m just letting it out a bit here in the comments.

I'm on ep18 and I've genuinely had to pause to take a break multiple times the last couple of episodes. The first…
Yes, that’s exactly how I felt… It’s a shame because, in a way, I miss them. They were really a part of my daily routine during the first half, and I was absolutely obsessed with both of them… Ugh, it sucks.

Is this series mainly focused on romance, or is it just a minor element?
To everyone claiming the series is going downhill—it’s not. It’s simply continuing along the same evasive line it started with. The series was supposedly created to portray a relationship between two adults—29 and 39 are old enough to maintain a healthy, realistic relationship. But that has never existed here. There are fears and insecurities, sure, but from the very first episodes it’s clear that the show persistently avoids dealing with the very topic it was meant to address: a relationship between two openly gay, mature men.

Unlike most other series in this genre aimed at younger audiences, whenever older couples are involved, the portrayal is always more cautious, hesitant, and indirect. It always hints but never confronts. There are a few such series—where there’s absolutely no intimacy, only declarations like “we’re dating,” “we live together,” or “we’re a couple,” yet nothing actually shows how the relationship functions beyond going grocery shopping, cooking together, or getting jealous over an ex suddenly reappearing.

I should note that the series is still enjoyable and entertaining in my eyes, and I really do like it. But it bothers me, because it gives me the feeling—at least—that they don't want to show that older people can also have passion and desire.

What is going on with the male lead’s face 😭at first I legit thought he was a transgender side character…
I think there’s something about his eyebrows... but overall he looks kind of gay, maybe it’s the way he talks and moves... but I’m trying to ignore it because the series is really cute. There also haven’t been many series lately... I’m waiting to watch it with subtitles since I haven’t had the chance yet.

I don’t mind teacher-student genre movies but you’re saying wokeness is trying to destroy Japanese culture?…
I don’t even remember what happened in this series, so it probably wasn’t good enough to stick in my memory. The comment was from a year ago, and time has passed. In any case, I may have been wrong in my assumption, so I’m deleting the comment…

I need someone who knows the composer for the background music because i can't find them online, it's daunting…
The music in this series is excellent—the opening, the ending song, and also the background music… everything is really good.

Episode 6 really raised the bar for the series, an amazing episode. I really love the acting of both of them, especially Soma’s. I also like the fact that he’s a bit tanned, which isn’t something to be taken for granted.
