Is there an announcement about it being shelved?
I did superficially read about that, but I wasn't sure if she was on the NOPE list, lol.

But reading more about her, now......it does sound like a scandal the studios would stay away from.

How much is the "forbidden" part here? i don't like when a significant amount of the story is spent on…
The story is set during the real-life timeline of the Siamese Revolution.

So there's more to the story than just their "forbidden love."

Ep 7 - Tin's scene with his father made me so sad.

It was heartbreaking to watch him crawl on the floor, quietly and desperately begging to be allowed to live his life with the man he loves. To be himself. To have happiness.

I had tears running down my face.

And Tin's grandmother is an angel. Wow. The acting in that entire scene was incredible.

Not really trying to defend them, but in this case, he wasn't just drunk, he was drugged, so it makes a little…
Thank you, I totally missed that. I must have gotten distracted when I was watching that scene, but I see it now.

Random thought. Vengo Gao and Prince Xin actor can be twins! They look so alike
Ha!! I was just thinking the same exact thing.

Before I saw your comment, I looked up Snowfall to make sure the two different actors were not, in fact, the same one.

Japanese BLs have too much slapstick in them.

While in some ways I appreciate this remake of the Thai version (the pacing is MUCH better in the J version, for one thing), the exaggerated staggering around when a character is supposedly "drunk" is annoying.

All I know is that whoever greenlit this project was either extremely wealthy, had limitless creative freedom,…
If you haven't seen the BL series, Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island (2025), it was done by the same director and production team. I believe it was their first BL series, ever. Perhaps even their first series of any kind. I'm not sure.

But it was exactly as you say........

"My only observation is that the visual language, the cinematography, production design, and camerawork, is often far more compelling than the narrative itself. At times, it feels less like a story driving the performances and more like the performers being given complete artistic freedom to exist in front of the camera, with the plot simply following them afterward."

The Litchi Island series was absolutely beautiful, and it felt like the actors were given artistic freedom to interpret the script in their own way. The result was stunningly beautiful, quirky, mysterious and just wonderful in general. At that time it was unlike any BL I'd ever seen, and I was hooked.

When the director and team came back with their second effort, A Winter Sun Wakes the Wind in Spring Hills' Dream, once again it struck me as extraordinary telling of a beautiful story.

I am completely blown away by the director's ability to weave such complex tapestries of love and life.

This entire series, including the 4 eps of Peach and Me, is so camp and hysterical. It's WAYYYYY overacted, and I love it. Man, it had me giggling.

Sounds to me like a deliberate overdub to disguise someone's real voice. At the risk of offending, noone could…
It's definitely an overdub, and it's annoying AF. If they're going to do that, I wish they would choose a different fake voice.

If you missed the VERY LAST scene - the one AFTER the credits at the end of the final episode (Ep 12) - you need to go back and watch it.

Title Deep In Spoiler
The plot twist at the very, very end (AFTER THE CREDITS)..... that there was yet ANOTHER layer to the story.......was crazy:

At the end, we don't know their actual names........

..........because it turns out that, whomever they are, their own "real life" story was turned into a novel by a friend of theirs.........

.........and in the novel, their characters' names were Zhen Xin and Zhang Zhun.......

.........who were actors playing the roles of Fang Chi and Gao Zhun.

Brilliant. Love it.

WTH is this mess??

The pacing in this series is SO BAD.

Long pauses with no dialogue or action....

Blank spots where it seems like the actors forgot to say their lines on cue and then suddenly remembered......

Scenes that just DRAG on and could honestly have been cut in half and no one would have missed the extra few minutes.....

The script is poorly written, too. And who chose the music??? Geez.
