Absolutely. The directors need to finish what they started.
As it is right now, it feels like the production staff were sitting at a table, then everyone said "I'm going to the restroom" or "I'm going for a smoke break" and JUST NEVER CAME BACK.
The characters are on their phones, texting or talking or looking at pics, etc.....then seconds later one of them is injured (shot, hit by a car, whatever) and suddenly the characters forget how to call for help on their cell phones, instead screaming HELP HELP!!! at the top of their lungs, never once taking their phones out of their pockets.
WHYYYYYYY would you SHOUT and attempt to run away making a lot of f*cking NOISE when you just saw a pack of zombies walk less than 100 feet away from you???? And then to talk and talk and talk and talk while you're walking around.
How STUPID is Lin Zai?? SHUT TF UP while you're trying to make it through the wilderness with untold number of zombies around you!!!
Crap like that in a story just pisses me off. It COMPLETELY defies logic in the context of the scene.
A ThomasKong cameo was not what I was expecting, but it was super cute.
However, I have to say.....this Japanese remake is SO slow and dull. The switch from Thai actual kissing to Japanese dead fish kissing is a real turn-off. It's just not hitting at all.
I really wish the studios would stop doing their own cultural remakes of popular series from other countries. The VAST majority of them do not translate well as far as story/character development, even if they seem to follow the original story line pretty closely. It's really disappointing when that happens.

She was so tiny! Just the right size to put in your pocket.
And I love how she just accepted her grandson Jiakai for who he is. His happiness was her only concern. I think she also "adopted" Dawei, too. She really liked him.
I really enjoyed this series. Some people seem to think it's boring, sadly, but I didn't find it boring at all. It's a simple, but really cute story. A nice contrast to some of the more dramatic BLs out right now - a few of which are good, but many of which are definitely not.
I liked the quirkiness of Jiakai's character, and the sweetness of Dawei's character. They complimented each other well.
I read in a comment further down the thread that there will be a special episode, and I'm looking forward to that.

2 - The NC scene @15:47 was.....awkward. Little Jane: "Put it in. Harder." Big Jane: **thrust** "Call me Big Jane." **thrust** "Say it."
Yeesh and EWW.
3 - The whole Dan kidnapping Jamie thing was SO unnecessary and bizarre.
And once Little Jane shot Dan.....that was the last we saw of him. No discussion of Dan's fate whatsoever - whether he lived or died, whether he'd been arrested, etc. He just vanished from the story after he was shot.
4 - @40:49 - Little Jane says to Big Jane (as he's lying in the hospital bed), "Oh, about what you planned. I've taken care of everything."
Jamie says "Oh! What's this? JP and Little Jane? What is it? Tell me." Little Jane: "No." Big Jane: "It's a surprise."
The next scene is both Janes arriving at Little Jane's parents' house / herbal shop, and Big Jane asking for LJ's hand in marriage. There's nothing that LJ would have had to "take care of." So I'm confused about the "surprise" he talked about at the hospital.
5 - Then @52:30 Big Jane's father suddenly shows up at the wedding and focuses his attention on Little Jane.
(To Big Jane) "Is this the person who saved your life?" Big Jane doesn't answer. He just looks at Little Jane. But the father knows that Little Jane shot Dan.
Then to Little Jane, the father says...."You did very well. I'll probably have to ask you to help me with work sometime." Both Big Jane and Little Jane look concerned at that statement because they know BJ's dad is dangerous (seems to be mafia? I don't know if that was ever confirmed in the series.).
Then BOOM, that's the end. Nothing else except a small feeling of dread and a nagging thought of...."Oh no. Will there be a season 2, and will it show Little Jane getting dragged into the father's criminal underworld?"

I'm just saying I'd like to see him cast as completely different kinds of characters. I do think he has the potential to really expand his acting portfolio in that regard.
I have not seen Wang Chen Rui's first-ever series, "Mountain and Chen."
But I did watch him in "Will You Think of Me at the First Time?" It wasn't the best series - there were definitely issues - but he portrayed someone with memory problems in a sensitive way.
However, in his current and last few series Wang Chen Rui has played the EXACT same type of character - cocky, no filter, full of arrogant swagger, talks too much, can't read the room, not respecting boundaries AT ALL, casually sexual with total strangers, totally disrespectful of the person he believes he's "helping."
Among those roles, there's ZERO difference, with no acting involved. He's basically just going by muscle memory at this point.
Now, I'm not necessarily put off by that. He's definitely easy on the eyes, and he has a rogue-ish charm I really like. But......it would be nice to see him actually act as a character with a completely different type of personality. Much more subtle, with much less swagger. Much more nuanced.
I think he's capable of it. I just hope he's willing to step out of the "cocky jerk comfort zone" he's obviously gotten so used to.

He's only been in 5 series, total, and for three of them there's just his pic and no-one else's. I find that strange.
I love this series. I wasn't going to watch it at first, but I like Maxky and Bas so much I changed my mind. So glad I did. They are great together, and very funny. I liked the entire cast, as well.
QUESTIONS re the poster showing the red threads between the characters......
Aren't Panin and Jirat supposed to be brothers?
Why isn't there a red thread connecting them?
And why isn't Prae included in the poster?

Many of us have talked about James' father as the victim of the fire, but also in the context of James possibly being half-Nour.
But what about his Mom?
I don't recall any point during the first five episodes where it's mentioned if she's still alive anywhere, or if she's not in the picture anymore.....is she dead? Did she leave?
If James is indeed half Nour, which of his parents would have been the full Nour - his Dad or his Mom?
Did I miss something about James' Mom while I was watching? Or is she just not a factor in the story at all?

I have to say, Est's acting in this series has grown by a lot since ThamePo, and I really liked him in that. But in YM, it's on a whole other level.
