While I am enjoying the Ex-Morning series, I have to question again - RE: so many series, not just this one - WHY are so many female characters that are written into BL series so USELESS and STUPID?
1) The ridiculous, INCESSANT "shippers" - their ONLY function in a series seems to be squealing LOUDLY behind their hands any time they see the main leads within 10 feet of each other, their minds seizing with fantasies of the main characters "being hot for each other," "giving their hearts to each other," having sex on every flat surface, etc. "Shippers" cannot function as real people within the story line. They only exist to be ANNOYING AF in EVERY SINGLE SCENE they are in.
2) The CLUELESS wannabe girlfriend - she has NO gaydar at all, NO situational awareness, NO ability to read a room, and she's always completely mystified about why people keep prying her arm from where she has looped it through the arm of the guy she likes and then dragging her out of the scene.
3) OR.......the JEALOUS wannabe girlfriend - she is PERFECTLY aware of the situation, and STILL thinks she can "change him" and rip him away from the man he actually loves. She's a LOUD, entitled and resentful character who just shrieks, schemes, threatens, blackmails and emotionally damages her way through the series while STILL refusing to acknowledge until someone practically SLAPS the bitch that she has NO HOPE with the guy she's fixated on.
4) The village idiot - this kind of character is in the story supposedly for comic relief, but 90% of the time just comes across as plain old dumb. Again, they honestly serve no purpose in the story. None.
There are other types, too, but WHYYYYYYYYY are these idiot female characters allowed to clog up what might otherwise actually be a good story?
It says 18+ because of violence and profanity, which has me wondering just how wild this series is going to get. I don't like ones with lots of violent bullying.
Well, it helps to a certain extent XD But honestly, I think at least P, Pan and Plai improved since Kiseki 2.…
About "I Promise I Will Come Back" -
The male characters are pretty good. I especially like the two mains. Some people have said the show is slow, but in my opinion, it's written just as it should be - two people from different countries who are getting to know each other and each other's language - in a natural and very sweet way. (I think there will be more intense scenes later, though.)
The FEMALE characters, on the other hand, are exceptionally badly written as vapid - and worse, STUPID - characters who literally bring nothing to the story whatsoever. I hate when shows have characters like that.
Looks like the past is full of assholes, just like the present.
Phat yells at Armin all the time in the past, slaps him in the stomach and face, and clearly doesn't give a crap that Armin is injured and confused.
And Lilly is a screaming, scheming bitch in any timeline.
The only character that has not OVER-acted his part is Thada. The other characters, including Armin, are way OTT. Yeesh.
Also....why did Armin wake up in the past with Neanderthal hair, which I was surprised to see was his REAL hair even after his awful wig fell off when he crashed the car?
I did not like that bathroom scene. It was forced oral sex where Jun PLAINLY was uncomfortable and CLEARLY kept signalling for Sorn to stop forcing him. And then once Sorn got off, that was it. Sorn got what he wanted, and that's all he cared about.
I dunno, I somehow thought Sorn and Jun would be a LOT further along in the journey toward actual feelings for each other, and toward Sorn treating Jun with some kind of respect.
But it's just been one scene after another of Sorn saying "I want it" and Jun ends up giving in. Then Sorn shoves himself into whichever of Jun's orifices he's closest to, and Jun ends up with bruises.
Yes, there have certainly been instances where Jun undeniably enjoyed their FWB encounters. No denying that.
But the abuse thinly disguised as "hot NC" is getting tiresome.
I speculated a while back that Chris may have the ability to block Pete. There's a good possibility that Willy…
In the Omegaverse (other ppl can tell you more about that. I am not very well versed on it.), there are Alphas who have special abilities. They are greater in number, but their abilities are limited.
Babe, Charlie and Jeff (among others) are examples of Alphas.
Enigmas, on the other hand, are far fewer in number, but are also far more powerful, have more abilities and can impregnate other men. Yes, Mpreg is a thing in the Omegaverse.
In S1, there were two (known) Enigmas - Way, who looked exactly like Chris but died at the end of S1, and Pete, who is in both S1 and S2.
In a strange twist, the two Enigmas were attracted to each other (Pete more than Way, though). But nothing ever happened, as far as I know - mostly because Way was in love with Babe. Pete was sad when Way died, though. I wonder what would have happened if two Enigmas hooked up.
The Mpreg thing only appears in the Pit Babe series by the very briefest of hints in S1. Not even an outright mention - just a brief, brief hint. I think - at the command of Tony - Way was supposed to impregnate Babe. But again, they didn't outright discuss that.
So far, there's no sign that Mpreg is a thing in season 2. But I suspect Willy *might* be another Enigma. Not sure yet.
Kills me that Yut helped Keen get rid of the creepy jerk that was making a pass at Keen, and then 5 minutes later, Yut did the very same thing !!

It DRIVES. ME. INSANE.
P.S. - Which is correct, Jeongu (according to MDL) or Jung-woo (according to the captions) ?

But overall, I'm enjoying the series.
Right now I'm on Ep 17.
Does anyone know where I can find the list of OSTs?
One of the singers sounds a lot like the artist who sang an OST for the Chinese vampire series, Snowfall. Such a beautiful and powerful voice.

I'm bracing myself.
