I did not read the novel but the webtoon, I have a few gripes but not too many as I really enjoyed this adaptation, I found it relatively amusing that both the actresses were short and in particular when Jeong Su-min is in her black biker gear in the final episode, it looked just kinda out of place. It says their height is 1.64 m and 1.6 m on google respectfully for both Park Min-Young and Song Ha Yoon but I don't even think they're that tall, probably 1.45 m more like.
I think my biggest gripe was that they didn't showcase Jeong Su-min terrible childhood that contributed to her twisted and warped personality. In the drama, it just seemed like she was getting scolded by her mother for not doing chores or helping out but in the webtoon, it was more about how she shouldn't exist and her being starved at home daily. I might be mis-remembering but her childhood in the webtoon was far more heart-breaking as her mother blamed her as the reason why her father left.
Overall, I really enjoyed the drama and give it a 9/10.
Just another small gripe, so often the villain is apprehended in K-dramas after a recording of their confession is done by the heroes of the story.
Hold up, I went on holiday to only come back that it's already finished. I was up to episode 6, will finish it after I finish off "Marry My Husband" today.
If Ryu Yong Jae is writing this I don't have much hope for it, to be honest. I disliked every work of his so far.…
Oh dear, the guy did "My Holo Love"....absolutely awful show, it was an absolute pain to get through. Kiseijuu is one of my favourite properties as well, also it's weird on how they gender-swapped the main character in this.
I have a question about the middle of the movie. Why did she marry again? The guy was trash and she married him.…
She married again, so she can meet the ML again by being involved in another case of her husband being dead. She killed the mother of the killer, knowing that the killer would kill her second husband if his mother died.
Once the ML broke up with her after she caused him to be "shattered", she came to love him more since he left her "world" essentially. She also wishes to become one of his "unsolved cases" so that he will never sleep properly and think of her all the time, which is her twisted way of thinking that if it becomes that, he will eternally love her.
The movie was great, a little bit draggy at times but it might have been because I had seen 4 movies before this one during my flight.
Overall, it was a decent watch, it kept the tension and executed it well. I was happy the series was short because if it was 16 episodes, it would have dragged on with most of the audience knowing who the killer was for most of the show, it's something that wouldn't be hidden well in a 16 episodes series if this was the twist.
The title of the series makes a whole load of sense when considering who the characters are. I'm watching the final episode and a thought dawned on me about the old photographs that are shown in the intro of the series, are those photographs of real-life cases of such a family?
I enjoyed it and I was a little surprised that I actually finished it off, I tend to watch a show and come across a spoiler and end up not watching the final 2 or 3 episodes but with the intention of watching it in the future and in some cases, it's been years.
The show was rather simple and it was kinda funny how most of the stories were tied up in the final episode. Do not expect an exciting or thought-provoking show, this one is something to make you feel relaxed for the most part.
The thing is that kpop stans tend not to look further and fact check what they want to hate. They see the name and go into all out war.
The FL hasn't done anything negative as far as I know but shares her name with a rather infamous individual according to kpop stans (they blame her for ending certain idol's careers or causing harm to their careers by saying they had drugs essentially). So she occasionally gets hate even though she didn't do anything.
