So excited to see Song Weilong in a new drama! He was fantastic in Go ahead. Not a fan of Angelababy, she has no emotional range at all, very wooden. She is stunningly beautiful, but can't act imo.
The ML has to be one of the most unattractive leads ever. (Character not actor) He acts like such a mean, spoiled child. His verbal abuse was especially toxic. FL seemed weirdly addicted to him as an abuser. In other shows even if there is toxicity, you will get moments (usually rescues, or drunken confession of love) that show you the Prince behind the beast, but this one, not so much. To the very last episode he acted like a overgrown child, and she had no self respect. Save yourself and skip this one
Just started this one, and I'm so distracted by how much the ML looks like Dylan Wang. Certain expressions and angles, it's uncanny! Overall a fun show so far, can't take it too seriously but good enough to pass the time.
Anyone has recs of good dramas they're watching after this? It's been months and I still can't get over it. I…
Same. I keep coming back to it again and again. The music, the visuals, but most of all the relationship between the leads. Dylan's character development was so so good. I'm currently watching Unchained Love which is getting better as the we go. Also HI Venus has a very sweet love story. Low stress easy watching. Nothing has been as captivating as LBFAD tho, it's iconic for sure!
Dylan's eyes are so expressive, seriously, he is rocking this role! The Emperor is definitely giving psycho vibes with his servant stoking the flames. Ugh, scary! My one complaint so far, the music is weak. One of the reasons LBFAD is so captivating is the music draws you in, in this drama it's not worth mentioning. Still, looking forward to seeing where the story goes!
Wow, so disappointed with this one. They did everyone involved dirty by chopping it up into such a disjointed mess, (along with zero chemistry between the leads). I'm gonna rewatch GMP while we wait for PXR's next drama, coming hopefully in January!
Just finished episode 4, it's off to a great start! Dylan's acting is so good, he shines with the gray, complicated roles. And I'm pleasantly surprised by the FL, she's nailing the back and forth between serious and funny. ☺️
Okay, three episodes in, and I am loving this! Writing is good, well paced so far. FL was a little annoying episode one, but quickly we learn she is the way she is for a reason. Chemistry is great between the leads. My only complaint, one episode a day! Please release more!
