She is one of my favourite actresses, she's gorgeous in every way and amazingly talented. I think it's wonderful news, I wish them all the happiness in the world !!!!
After EP9 I feel like this show should renamed to "Crying Partner".Yoo Ri is way too emotionally attached to ...…
I have actually started FF'ing the crying scenes, there's not an enormous amount left lol Sensitive Elliot was so funny that my family still quotes " I wish that darned Sun would Set"

Yes me too, exactly I am also aware they are the actors not the characters. But I have so much respect for them as actors it's very conflicting. And you wonder why they chose this vehicle. JHI was in a lovely movie called Tune In For Love, with Kim Go Eun, where they both totally inhabited their characters. It's not necessarily Netflix and Disney per se, obviously huge SK production companies can see big bucks in international distribution, like Studio Dragon, so it's all collaborative. I feel like I'm still watching great C, J and K dramas but often they're more niche, on different platforms,
Someone wrote an article saying k dramas have lost their charm. And I can see it. This drama is one of the most…
I really love both the leads, but not in this. You can see the acting, all the hitting, and putting on all the jackets, the parents overreaction, none of it is funny. I've seen Kdramas where the script is so hilarious, and plot is ridiculous and the actors can really make it hysterically funny, and really connect, but not here, Something isn't working.
Jang Na Ra is such a fantastic actress, she's just amazing in everything she does. She has such control over the smallest facial expressions, and she's capable of acting any role, comedy, silly, super intelligent business woman, serious, half demented (My Happy Ending), You can never look away while she's on the screen. I think the rest of the cast is fantastic in this too! Such an interesting show!
Robert Downey Junior is an example of someone with a massive addiction problem, was convicted and incarcerated etc. and with the help I believe of Mel Gibson and his wife went through rehab and has resumed his mega box office appeal, and success! I guess this is all possible in US where a person is viewed as an individual not a representative of a culture, where erroneous behaviour is seen to be a loss of face for the country. Wealthy chaebols excepted of course, they don't have an international high profile, and can pay their way out. Definitely Yoo is being scapegoated, as was the late and wonderful Lee Sun-Kyun. God only knows what kind of underhand bribery and shit goes down behind the scenes. Is was horribly cruel to hear about the suicide of Lee Sun-Kyun, doesn't the SK entertainment industry want to support and protect their own? Wasn't there a protest amongst directors and actors recently about this? Where are the celebrities rushing to Yoo's support? Of all the directors and actors who worked with him and benefitted from his talent, won awards, etc. No one seems to be speaking out. All of the hypocrisy has been really well outlined in comments below, re alcohol abuse and other crimes which are not as severely punished as drug abuse. No point in re hashing that issue which is exceptionally difficult to understand in a country where apparently 'face' is so important. It's ok to drink, and vomit, and behave like a cretin. We have the difficult task of holding contradictory views in our heads about Yoo Ah In. A great, talented actor, an outspoken voice for rights in SK. And a man with a drug problem, and whatever issues he has. Shouldn't the SK community be supporting people with these predicaments, rather than further abusing them? Whether they're famous or not. Yoo's father has recently passed away, doesn't he deserve some support? Thus far he's shown himself to be a strong man, I really wonder how much this guy can put up with. I really hope he can survive all this disgusting crap.
Baek Wook, the 'Uncle' is only drunk, and weeping, making a fool of himself, or asleep or, otherwise making seriously stupid comments, it's not funny, it's just annoying. As a character the two leads have to deal with, I'm not sure what the intent is. I suppose he's meant to be comical. The leads are super cute, for me their talent is totally wasted as the plot is thin to the point of non existence. I'm still watching it though cause of the leads, they're just adorable. I hope they both get a better vehicle to show their acting chops next time!
This show is entertaining in a makjang kind of way. Anyone noticed the editing is a bit weird. The screen suddenly goes black between scenes. I thought it was funny when the Chairwoman was getting her 'infusion' and suddenly when JTR rocked in and demanded a meeting, the Chairwoman was suddenly teleported into the lounge room without a hair out of place. I'm finding JTR not the sharpest tool in the shed. But it's a makjang after all.
i'm on eo 14 and had to pause to come here and rant...... WHY does the FL, ML and director have no backbone!!!?????…
I just watched ep 15, and I have to say some of the best written dialogue I have seen for ages, I couldn't believe how intelligent and insightful it was. I felt the same as you before it was just treading water, but IRL sometimes people are so traumatised they become temporarily frozen and take time to react and regroup. I think that's about to happen.
Sensitive Elliot was so funny that my family still quotes " I wish that darned Sun would Set"
