Title My Happy Ending Spoiler
Rachel sent Arin home alone (the airline's unaccompanied minor service) and then posted the details including…
Exactly...and yet another trauma of SJW's making, the arrival of her precious daughter about as stupidly organised as possible, let's add to that....go to the abandoned factory where KYJ has murdered her husband, in fact they both drive there, all the way there for a 5 minute meeting, of course SJW is totally unprotected, naturally, shows all her cards ie the video, instead of going to the police, to a totally unhinged psychotic murderer, and then want to "give her a chance"??? OMG maybe this is an AI script....however I still think the acting is great, and I'm planning to watch ep 16, it can't get much worse.

Korea seems to be a strange paradox of ultra chaste and conservative on the surface, with an underground covert world where there is prostitution, drugs and crime. So although some of the sex culture these guys come across is depicted as OTT and distasteful it seems to exist on some level in SK as well. Although SSK and SDY appear interested, curious and polite it is clear they are often feeling awkward and disconnected. Having said that, it's not only Koreans that would be somewhat shocked at seeing prostitutes in a window, a live sex show, or meeting polyamorous couples etc etc. I think the average person in whatever country does not come across this stuff on a daily basis, I personally found the sex act thing pretty unappealing and gratuitous, more athletic than erotic. I found myself FF ing most of the show, and then dropping it. I"m also not convinced that most of Holland and Germany is quite as out there as this show would depict. No doubt this culture exists but I think it's somewhat misrepresented. Would Koreans think this is an accurate depiction of the way Dutch and Germans live?? Holland is to be commended for its very forward thinking legislation eg legalising prostitution, gay marriage and so forth. It has an amazing social welfare system. I think in that respect SK could take heed. I imagine this extreme view of the sex culture in Germany and Holland is good for ratings, but I could foresee KNets being pretty turned off, and lauding their own somewhat hypocritical system even more.

I think this drama is cute etc. well acted. Only thing I don't understand is why the leads are acting like awkward, chaste people out of a convent, regarding their relationship, when they are in their 30's, and fully experienced, professional doctors. I realise NHN is not very experienced in relationships etc. but their silly self-conscious 8 year old behaviour is irritating to me I also wish the brother would JUST get a job and stop being such a bludger, I know this is done for comedy, like the mother's behaviour, but it's just repetitive and stupid. Otherwise it's an ok drama.

This is an incredibly over the top makjang drama, full of ridiculous plot holes, a bit circular and repetitive etc etc. but I think it's great, super dramatic, fantastic acting by everyone. Jang Nara is really amazing, and the way So Yi Hyun is portraying KYJ as so diabolically evil, viewers are getting seriously upset. Just a testament to her acting skills. I seem to be the only one enjoying it, I must admit only to FFing the intense weeping scenes, but otherwise I'm looking forward to see how the writers wrap it up.

Soooooo good to see normal people in a Kdrama. I sometimes wonder if they really exist in SK, there seem to be such insanely high standards to live up to in every respect. It was great to see two people struggling with real, gritty issues - money, happiness, sex life, trust, relationships. I thought it was funny, clever, a bit surreal. I love these actors, brilliant uninhibited and brave performances. So great to see a relaxed portrayal of gay relationships, having a joint, infidelity. From my POV the infidelity in most of these relationships was understandable, loved the couple with the toupees.
I loved every minute of it. I think the ending is open ended and totally plausible.

I think it's possible that the dead body is HSY twin, and that HSY is plotting something behind the scenes. The autopsy could have been falsified. There are enough psycho/traumatic events to seriously destroy anyone's mind, surprised that SJW is still functioning, albeit from an institution now. But then again it's a Kdrama lol. I'm finding this show extremely intense, and disturbing, but very addictive. If HSY really has been killed, FL's father is a possible candidate. Just throwing this in...I originally thought the Te Oh character was really interesting, but I'm finding him a bit repetitive, somehow he's going nowhere, except for saving FL every five minutes with a blind dedication. Maybe he's in cahoots with HSY and they've planned something together.

I find my self saying "whaaaat??" every so often, I simply don't really get the plot yet, except for the obvious, stuff. Gambling psycho mother, killed by doting father. Best friend out to crucify JW, for having been raped by her partner., loses baby and wants revenge.. JW spending her life keeping her illness a secret, now has multiple personality disorder as well as bipolar. We have a potential fake psychiatrist giving simplistic advice. Private detective screwing everyone over for the most amount of money. TeOh being hyper protective and obviously in love with JW, but with the big secret. BSG is still in a coma, knows most of the story. And that's not all of it. However, I'm dying to know the ending, and how the writers bring it all together. lol

Anyone thinking about therapist here, FL secens with the her seems to delusional, like something from a memory.…
Had the same thought, when FL arrived in what seemed PJ's. Like she's imagining those sessions. Which also raises questions about the drugs FL is taking.

Just a couple of comments, firstly still can't believe how JWS is acting, it's phenomenal. I hope he gets some award for this role. In terms of how he looks, which people are commenting on here and there, he's very attractive etc etc but the character he is portraying is a laid back artist not very fussed with suits and cutting edge fashion. In this drama he's a guy who's been through very tough experiences, and JWS is playing him as such, somewhat weathered by life. The camera angles are not necessarily the most flattering. In most current dramas where looks are dominant, the actors are coiffed to the nth degree, makeup, hair, clothes, filmed with special lenses, after every take they are touched up with precision. I suppose that is the nature of the attraction of some of those dramas, it's a looks/fantasy thing, the unattainable perfect beauty, escape universe, but this drama is not about that. It's about 2 actually very attractive people, who are navigating a pretty complex relationship, in a realistic sense, not in a make believe artificial celeb type of world. It's kind of refreshing really.
From my perspective, I get the difficulty all of the characters are feeling. I don't feel very judgemental, maybe except for SSK being so exceptionally manipulative. It's a slow, melancholy kind of drama, and the CJW character really has to put up with so much crap. The drama when the neighbours thought he had taken the little kid. What happened in his past, abandoned by his mum, feeling guilty that he didn't save SSK from the fire. Having his great love desert him. The reaction of Mo eun's parents. When he sat in the bar with his friend and asked 'have you ever want to run away from me...' was really reflective of how he feels about himself on some level.
From a viewer perspective, I'm hoping of course that they have a happy ending, and get over themselves, not really sure though, it's looking a bit grim lol.

Compared to other dramas I'm watching, JWS acting is on another level. It's really rare atm to find anyone that committed to the role, with so little ego involvement. It's amazing to be that emotive, and convey so much with absolutely nothing vocal, only his face, his body language, the signing and the written word.
I get that she's suddenly aware of the limitations of that relationship, no music, no laughter you can hear, no banter, no listening to nature, and so on. He's such a humble character, it's sad to watch. At least his art is taking off, and her career is happening. He has his kids to teach, he's healing himself in that lovely confrontation with his younger self. I'm still hoping for a happy ending lol.

Thanks for that! Amazingly insightful, dwindling media interest and the need for sensational coverage to promote readership, and promotions in the police force....there's always an ulterior motive behind these tragic events. Korean netizens influenced by non corroborated news, judging and then mourning, seems they cannot remain impartial. This really is worth watching.

What should İnternational fans understand?
I read that article, sure it was an incredibly disgusting, diabolical situation where the two women extorted money from him, and as it turns out, one woman totally screwing over her friend. And it appears they both had a long history of scamming people. However, he was publicly exposed and shamed, and forced to kowtow and lower himself to apologise to the public, which indicates the power of SK netizen to judge and condemn. He was not able to deal with this privately which is what he asked for. Understanding the role of media exploitation and public condemnation is not naive, it's accurate.
