Wasn't that doctor her sunbae? He arranged the checkup and all, so i am just guessing that's why he told her first..…
It would be pretty unethical, but maybe....but plot wise, in terms of the series and narrative...it feels weird that Mi Jo is getting so much airtime. This should be about all of them, I guess that's coming up...
I can’t pin point the culprit. I usually like slow slice of life themes whether depressing or not; My Mister,…
Because the characters are not multi dimensional, they are boring, there is not much chemistry, not a lot of action...it's bland....compare it to CLOY for example, or all of the above series you mentioned. My Mister was heart rending, amazing acting and development of each main character, it was complex, interesting plot...this is trope city, and a shame because the cast is great!
Up to this point ep 3 I'm finding Yeon Woo Jin's character overly "saccharin sweet" and boring. This has not been written, or acted in such a way as to understand his intense dedication and wooing of Mi jo, she's kind of lukewarm, towards him, leaving for the US, and now is totally depressed by her friends terminal illness. What is keeping him in there apart from the script telling him to, is he a social worker/priest? I'm not feeling any chemistry at all! I agree with everyone that there is no way a doctor would disclose a terminal diagnosis to a friend before the patient, and so now it's all about Son Ye Jin's character....a long depressed response. Why is the focus on her and not the three friends dealing with this? Why wouldn't Kim Jin Seok's wife feel concerned about her husband's relationship with JCW, she has no idea of the illness. Surely in her ignorance she has the right to say something. Of course things could be quickly cleared up if people would only explain, but then the series would be over in 2 eps. It is the lack of communication that is driving the plot, but something is missing, or has not been properly developed to make the audience relate deeply to the characters. I am finding JJH, the third friend a total idiot. what's with the hackneyed "I can only function when drunk on soju" trope. With this stellar cast, and potentially interesting plot, it hasn't come together at all IMO!!
Apart from being handsome and athletic etc Ethan Juan is a really good actor, shame his talent is pretty much wasted here. Lin Kesong, has some good comebacks, but on the whole behaves and looks like a kid , maybe some are into this, but I'm finding it totally cringeworthy watching the lead actors get flirty. IRL Ethan is 40 and she is 23, and seems like she's a pouty 12 yr old in this show. I am actually finding it embarrassing. Evidently the writers have never heard of Me2, as Jiang Quin Fan is basically being an abusive bastard to her and there is no reason why Kesong is putting up with it. Elise is a better match age wise, is psychotically in love with him, and is proving it by trying to poison him, and basically ruin his life. Kesong's cousin has turned unexpectedly unpleasant, Boris is a classic villain, (he's russian with a mustache even) a bunch of "nice" people. Too many villains imao. The whole thing is short on substance, and is relying on Ethans looks, and lots of glamour and some great cooking shots to get by. It's watchable, but I was really impressed with The Legend of Fuyao, a lot of the dialogue was intelligent, the plot was complex, and it was just a great epic love story, and compellingly interesting. Oh well, I guess it's a good pandemic mindless show!!
I'm halfway through ep.8 but something was bothering me so much I had to pause and post here. How is the FL so…
Ha ha ha!! Exactly!!!! This show has gone from an epic beginning - /violent/tragic/intense etc etc up to the reincarnated twins with the "don't trust anyone" intense fear vibe (so well acted) to FL now being relaxed and trusting everyone "sure detective, just take my sister to the hospital...." and the dialogue is now a bit silly and pedestrian considering the back story.
Also noticed KNR wearing Zoolander derelicte trash fashion...WHY???????
Still watching though....but Im preferring Bad and Crazy!!!!
These negative comments are kind of wild to me. The show was clearly made as sort of an homage to a mix of French…
I definitely agree with you, well said. You have clarified why I'm enjoying this so much. I think it's a well paced, beautifully shot series, seriously romantic! Great insight into the glamorous world of fashion. The leads are stunningly attractive, and although SHK often plays roles with that lack of emotion, here we are privy to the back story, and her thoughts, and reticence about emotional attachment, makes for the tension, and build up. Great chemistry between the leads. I can't wait to see how it pans out.
