Probably the best way to save a drowning kid is to jump in where they are, not at the other end of the pool and swim all the way towards them, even if you have a video of jaws behind you lol
I think it was so disrespectful that MK asked that question to HJ. HJ went to her for private advice and MK wanted…
Totally, not to mention the times when she barged into the room when HJ and YS were talking, and insisted that they needed to "discuss" what they had already "discussed" 40 times, and most of it was gibberish, and a total mind f..k! Meanwhile everyone is saying she's stressed, which she is, but she's also obsessive.
The minute I started this I thought of My Mister. I guess it is a remake, I still feel awful when I think about Lee Sun Kyun and haven't been able to watch My Mister since. But I think this version is fantastic, I feel it's where Kdrama and Cdrama excells. telling these heart wrenching, underdog can win, stories, which resonate with a lot of people. I'm really enjoying it and looking forward to the next eps. Love the cast. For me it's a classic Mark Chao role.
The thing is, I understand why they’re not having fulfilling conversations. When you’re with someone you like…
I think you made some great observations. I find this show really interesting, the participants seem so real, more real than any reality show I've watched. They're exhausted but still seem to hold it together and be civil etc. The cynical side of me is wondering how much production has orchestrated some of the dynamics, just to create "good tv". Also to promote their careers, acting, dancing etc etc. I get all their dilemnas the only one I don't get is Min Kyung, I get nervous whenever she's storming around saying unintelligible, contradictory stuff, tbh honest if her comments are not scripted, I'd say she's somewhat dumb, I know that's mean, but I don't get her behaviour. Just that point about YooSik at the end of ep 19 telling HJ to go to bed, I think he thought she had had too much to drink, and he was concerned she would make an idiot of herself. That was my take.
Up to ep 4, I think they nailed the era, 70's perfectly with a little glam. embellishment. I for one am seriously enjoying this drama, although it's usually not my genre, Hyun Bin is so handsome, and to boot a fantastic actor, also totally buying JWS character. My bet is that BGT will turn out to be a good guy, planted as an intelligence officer. Otherwise highly recommend. And Happy New Year btw!!!
Just finished episodes 7 and 8. I appreciate how the show uses its platform to highlight the realities behind…
It's one of the first dramas I have seen tackle this issue of celebrity abuse. And it's done in a palatable, way without too much vitriol and blaming, pointing out some ways of tackling it via a point of due, and legislation. It's interesting to see how complex it all is, even families involved due to cashing up with insurance policies etc. Tabloids want clicks, police take bribes, upper echelon political/business scandals are hidden when celeb. issues are highlighted. It's a pretty dirty game, and the knetz just play a part in the hypocritical moral condemnation. Really impressive that this show is partly focussed on this issue.
Such a good review! What was initially interesting with this drama was a really dramatic intro in terms of how a psychopath could develop, initially horrific, abusive and violent, then recontextualised into a hyper glam, glossy world with extraordinarily beautiful actors, especially A Jin, where it was believable that she could cruelly manipulate those around her while performing her revenge strategy. Initial moments of possible redemption for her made the story something you might connect with. You have described the downhill plunge from there so well, Hilarious, what a waste of a great story and cast. They really did their best.
There's always a baddy eavesdropping at the top of the stairs don't you know lol And very intense, concerned stary faces on behalf of FL reporter isn't cutting it. It's plain stupid!
How is this show guys , is it worth watching?Last time I was disappointed watching would u marry me?Are the episodes…
Ep 1 was good! FL has the most amazing amounts of mishaps, and needs to be rescued endlessly. She takes about 20 minutes to respond to a question and then says "deh!", SML and SFL are tedious, and hardly credible, the usual eye popping stare when they first kiss, long long takes on ML, just about every 10 minutes, slow mo, a trope a minute, if you like that sort of thing, enjoy!!!!
I liked the drama but I don't agree with her. In fact it's the second drama in a row where females who plan to…
I think that's the paradox and complexity of SK culture, mores and politics. I would bet that getting away with a justified homicide, as a plot would not sit well with knetz and probably as a result the drama would be less successful.
