Haha, I agree with you, except maybe for the acting. JDY's role was so stupid, I feel maybe that might explain…
Yes if only JDY role had been more sophisticated and intelligent. Why in the beginning the red herring stupid grinning reactions and psycho comments about "CSI" when she just would normally be hysterically in grief about her husband, the red herring "affair" as a cause of her murdering him. Soooo many false leads, and stupid moves. The prime motive for getting out of prison was her daughter, yet she was so sloppy about caring for her IRL. How many times was that kid left alone, unprotected. I wrote further down, when she went rampaging around to search for the killer, with the long flowing hair under a cap to be incognito, so silly. Didn't cut it. So many ridiculous things and plot holes, so agree with you about the husbands murderers, the wife was a comical caricature in the end with the head leaning sideways and that stupid smirk. OMG. Please lol. Agree also about working with the EVIL family, what a silly piece of writing, and then sitting around in the lounge room just like a psychopath, Such a waste of talent, I love both the leads actresses., they're soooo good you have to respectfully see it to the end lol.
YS keeps running around desperately trying to find the real killer. We find out the background story of Moe Eun, who has been on a revenge frenzy to destroy the boy who violated her sister. We discover that YS's husband the painter, was threatening JYI the public defender financially, so his wife is the one to have killed him. In the end YS and ME team up, and fight JYI, who is trying to defend his wife. ME ends up dying, YS stands trial and is somewhat acquitted. Baek Don Hung the prosecutor kind of admits he was wrong, nothing really happens to him. JYI's wife is potentially accused of murder.
Geez, I'm on ep 8, whenever Yun su is running around trying to go incognito, as in the hospital someone should tell her the white coat/cap alone is not going to work, try a blond wig, or at least tie up the long black tresses. Also, I feel really badly for her little daughter who is left, I don't know, alone or with someone we don't understand, while intrepid YS is running about frantically trying to catch the decoy. This drama is getting silly. However kudos to both FL's for outstanding performances.
Don't know what I think about this. I agree with all the comments about the FF'ing feeling, In Gang died, Granny died, suddenly Bi Ra is in the picture, the CEO of Longstar is in prison, Jae O explains his connection to A Jin (in case we didn't know, but extremely sad nevertheless), Jun Seo gives away a kidney to his heinous mother, also really depressing. A Jin marries, etc all the action is at the speed of light, and relationship arcs are abandoned. I can't decide if this show is just gratuitous violence or it's actually good. It's compelling and awful but set in a hyper stylised, glossy glamorous world with gorgeously beautiful actors who are doing an amazing job, which to some degree disguises the horror of the story. Initially the story was tightly spun so you could understand the evolution of A Jin, now it's in free fall, with anything goes, any kind of horror, betrayal, misery.
One thing I find interesting is that, despite the awful, glacial behaviour of A Jin, she has explained herself very clearly," cannot believe or get close because she's always betrayed." Also whenever she confronts another character who accuses her, she comes up with pretty good justifications as to why they are hypocrites who have behaved in an equally appalling way.
No...I get him . Its not that easy for a man with a child especially when he is indebted to his mother. Pursuing…
Exactly, just bad timing. He's a lovely guy, a good friend and a dedicated father. Hope he has a great relationship with 2FL, and the main couple as well, which of course will happen lol Meanwhile ML also has an arranged marriage to add to the mix.
I hardly ever think about a drama I'm watching, but this one I am reflecting on during the day. I think the whole idea of lack of empathy, on the entire spectrum from mild sociopathy to extreme psychopathy is fascinating, and I enjoyed watching the FL out of Genie make a wish for that reason. But this story, is so intense, what these characters have gone through is horrific, kudos to the whole production team for eliciting that level of performance out of these talented actors. I think Kim Young Dae is totally incredible in this drama, he is the master of the subtle facial expression that says so much. I totally get why he has laid down his existence to protect A Jin, it's a really complex frenzied mix of reasons, very toxic in part, enmeshed, desperate, and often he fails but he can't stop himself. Kim You Jung is so fantastic, with that innocent, exquisite face so flawlessly covering the cesspool of her real thoughts. After watching what she has gone through I also totally get why she has evolved like she has. The abused becomes the abuser, and worse. The entire cast is amazing, I love psychological thrillers, this show is great imo!
