Granny Kang's replacement grandson wasn't in place yet to take over. I know, I'm just as mad.
Lmao. I actually think that Chang Yu will go back one day and support her and get her the best treatment in the capital as a way to honour Man Di's last wishes. Why does she need to rely on the man her brother was killed off for, you know?

It was said in a very early episode that the reason Man Di was a debt collector was to raise enough money to save his sister, who was sold to a brothel at a young age. And he only had one year left because after that, she would come of age (still only a teenager, but still) and officially become a courtesan and have to serve customers. His sister also wanted to be a dancer, but after the raid and massacre of Lin'An, her leg was broken, and she became crippled, so he wanted to get money in the army to go home and treat her leg, to help her dance again. 😢
Btw, I hope I explained that well idk if it makes sense or not. If not, I can try to explain it a bit better if you'd like.
I know. I think he actually did feel a little bad at first. You can see it in his shocked/kinda hurt expression after Princess Changxin slapped him immediately after entering the room.
I actually agree. I see so many people hating on him for his actions, but nobody is born evil. Unless it is a mental illness since birth, everyone goes through something that shapes them into who they become, and Qi Min was an innocent child and a victim of corrupted officials' attempts to gain power at the cost of human lives and their morality. I think he could've MAYBE had a redemption arc since he never truly hurt YQQ and was simply threatened by Bao'Er's existence as it was explained in today's episodes, but it would've taken a long time and a lot of character development to get there.
This type of scheduling in c-dramas are now a norm ever since they cut down the limit to max of 40 episodes per…
Maybe they'd get a special appearance or be mentioned a lot in szn 2/the special episode if we even get one? (I know this is a crazy level of delusional, but sometimes being delusional is all you need in life.)

I honestly don't even care about the addition of the grandson, because the more the merrier ig, but WHY did we have to sacrifice Man Di for that? When we got so much more attached to him and Mr.Jin because of their detailed story lines compared to the other 3 thugs. Justice for my baby Man Di, he just wanted to make it home to take care of his sister. And to think, he didn't even get to see her after she left the brothel. ðŸ˜
I also accidentally got spoiled by something from the leak, so read on if you want.
Apparently, he's still alive around episode 40. And even some novel readers have said he doesn't die until the VERY end of the novel. So I think we'll unfortunately be stuck with him for a long while to come.

I actually hate that they replaced him like that. At least if he passed away, fine. It was a bit predictable. But killing him off, then replacing him with someone who has the same characteristics, such as age, voice, and even what he calls Chang Yu, is just rubbing salt in the wound. Why get us attached to a character and root for him only to do this, and replace him with a relative of someone who was a horrible person? I also did NOT like how their Lin'An group moved on from his death so fast, and we didn't even get a funeral or a scene where they mourned him together like a normal drama.
The universe owes us another TXW-ZLH collab!! Everyone knows it. Their agencies too!
That would be such a dream!! But I saw somewhere that their agencies don't actually get along well, which resulted in less than ideal promo for the drama? Just what I saw online as a non-Chinese speaker, but could anyone confirm or deny?

I would also even like a mini drama spinoff or special episode of Chang Ning and Bao'Er's story, since many of the novel readers have talked about them being the future emperor and empress. After all, who doesn't love a childhood friends-to-lovers where the fl (Chang Ning) would have her sister and brother-in-law, two big generals, as her support. I'd love to watch that!
No, later in the episode, they reveal it was a body double raised by Nanny Lan to look exactly like him for an emergency situation like this. He's also shown near the end of the episode, and he's in the preview for tomorrow's ep.

I'm so glad the leak didn't affect its success too much. I hope the perpetrators are caught and face consequences soon, and that POJ can be even more successful in this final week!
(I haven't watched today's eps yet so no spoilers please)I love this brother-in-law and sister-in-law duo who…
I love Ning Ning's relationship with her Jie Fu. Like atp, that's her dad. I really wish we had gotten more scenes of him with her at the war camp (or atleast some) and stuff instead of Xie Wu always babysitting her, but I guess the Marquis is busy and stuff. It just would've been cute to see all his subordinates and Gongsun Yin be shocked at how gentle and caring he is with her, as if she's his real daughter. I hope we get at least a few more scenes with their little family of three before the show ends, or I'll be so sad.
By Friday all episodes will b out so u will get to binge everything Accordingly to sources there is express package…
I was looking at the calendar and guessed around that time too, but I'm just scared I'll be wrong and then have to suffer with no express package, especially with all the drama with the leak and stuff.
