Sure enough this series made me cry, like a lot of times. Although there were some unnecessary drama and over the top acting that made me cringe, UWMA is one of those few Thai BL that actually has a story to tell.
No matter how many Japanese BL I watched, I’m still baffled about the fascination for depressing and tragic endings. I find it so confusing why Taishin and Noeru ended up by the beach to commit suicide instead of going to the hospital. Their idea of love is so dang f*cked up. Anyway, lesson learned from this movie? Try to check and lock up your front doors, every time!
Koreans, normally they do about 1-hour episodes, but BL? 10min:D It feels more like an experiment... but they…
Preferences are subjective and everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I think it’s the other way around, Thai should learn from Korean shows. Some Thai BL have good content, they are fun to watch but they also tend to be lazy, shallow and superficial at times. If you compare the two, korean BL is way far ahead, content and production wise. But yeah, whichever you prefer as long as you’re having fun, then that’s what really matters right?
Another BL with an annoying female character but since the series is quite short I guess I’ll have to see past beyond that and notice the great things about this not so short of a masterpiece. Time and time again, like any other korean produced show I easily fall in love not only coz of its distinct post production, WYEL is no different, it is sweet, sincere and endearing. The chemistry between HTJ and KG is undeniable, it is consistently charming, funny and ultimately heartbreaking when they’re not with each other on the screen. With its simple but well executed story and acting worth of praise this definitely will become a favourite among BL fans and will linger a bit longer in our memories.
It’s June 2020 and I still can’t finish this series. It’s so dang bad that I cringe every now and then.
Finally forced myself to finish the series. It’s not as good as the other GMMTV produced shows but I wish Morn and Gord had a spin-off story of their own.
Bao Tian and Bo Wan we’re actually fun together and I had good laugh watching them. I wished the episodes were longer but still it’s entertaining even with the awkward moments. PS Anyone who knows the title of the song being played in the closing credits? Shazam doesn’t seem to work on it. Thanks
I really had a hard time reacting to this drama, it’s not the usual revenge plot I usually enjoy, in fact I’m quite ambivalent about it. It’s well made, that’s a fact, with its masterfully crafted storyline and convincing acting. However, the characters were at times unrelatable or rather was quite difficult for me to embrace which later on lead me to be unsympathetic to them. It’s condescending, indulgent, moralising and unapologetic at the same time. Yes, it’s grounded on the reality of marriage and divorce yet some scenes were just beyond the grasp of a sane person, and that totally gives me constant headaches. But one thing for sure, even if she gets hurt and cry alone, a mother’s love to her son is unequaled.
