Given that the idea is to prevent JBY from regaining her memories, I doubt that will happen. Not without some type of divine intervention at least.

I can only imagine how people would have reacted if she had forced a hug on him as well.

If they break up at the end of tonight's episode, there's a chance that Jang Uk and JBY won't see each other until the tall tree scene.

Well, it's a lot easier to accept any possible (sad) scenarios once you've removed any emotional investment in the main couple. It really helps to look at things from every perspective.

If Jang Uk doesn't end up with Naksu, then I see no problem with him and Lady Heo getting together. They could also name their child after Naksu to honor her memory.

In all seriousness, I kind of hope that Lady Heo gets to have one scene with Jang Uk that finally allows her to move on. End it with a hug or kiss on the cheek.

Personally, I feel like she's been unnecessarily vilified by the fandom. So what if she still has feelings for Jang Uk? Has she crossed any boundaries with him? Of course not.

Happy Ending or not, I'm pretty sure that Part 2 will at least have a rushed ending.

Imagine if that ends up being their last kiss scene in the whole drama?

I mean it's definitely one way to start the New Year. Of course, things will only turn worse for fans if this temporary break up doesn't lead to a happy reunion next week and ends with either one or both of them dying to close out the show.

If the Hong Sisters had used some of the old tropes from 10 years ago, Naksu would find out that she's pregnant with Jang Uk's child not long before seeing him get engaged to Lady Heo.

Story ends with Jang Uk and Lady Heo raising the child after Naksu dies in the end.

Episode 8 starts with them in happy bliss and ends with Jang Uk leaving JBY in a pool of tears. He'll probably give her some BS excuse to break off their relationship.

She might not have a choice. All of the realistic/appropriate endings that I see for her character involve either dying or ending up alone.

It would make more sense for Jang Uk to learn how to live a life without Naksu and move on with someone else.

Judging by the recent stills, Jang Uk finds out that JBY is Naksu and calls off their relationship in order to protect her.

On another note, I'm pretty confident that JBY won't regain her memories in tonight's episode. Jang Uk might find out but I don't see JBY regaining her memories until either the end of Episode 9 or 10.

Not really. But it would be interesting to see how everyone would react to that scenario.

A tragic figure.

If Part 2 had been 20 episodes as well, I could easily picture the Hong Sisters writing the following scenario at this stage:

- Jang Uk learns that JBY is Naksu and that her soul will perish once she regains her memories.

- In a last ditch effort to protect her soul, Jang Uk agrees to move away and protect the country's border.

- To ensure that Jang Uk will cut off his ties with JBY (Naksu) once and for all, Lady Jin convinces him to get engaged to Heo Yun Ok and start a new life.

- Upon learning this news, JBY breaks out of her room and finds Jang Uk getting engaged to Heo Yun Ok before moving away.

The Drama + Angst + BGM= RATINGS!!!!

Either that or Jang Uk ends up killing Naksu with her own sword to save the world and parallel the ending for Part 1.

What if Naksu doesn't regain her memories until her final moments before she dies in Uk's arms? It would be similar to what happened with the main antagonist in "The Veil".

OR Jang Uk marries JBY as originally planned for it to be revealed later on that the original JBY is back in her own body and had casted out Naksu's soul for quite some time. It would be the ULTIMATE plot twist.haha

Plus, I don't think a happy ending is suitable for someone like Naksu.

Well a double death involving Jang Uk and Naksu is definitely a possibility. Though it'd be more bittersweet and progressive if Jang Uk survives and finally learns to live a normal life without Naksu.
