It's almost a talent how this drama keeps on getting worse and worse with each episode LMAO

Nuanced acting, mature skinship, very atmospheric, full of longing cross border love story about two star crossed soulmates. It’s realistic, raw, painful and feels like a piece of art at times. It’s also slow, draggy and runs in circles at others.

Perfect for a once a week watch to relax and vibe.

7.5/10

Literally 10 episodes for what? Lmao FL was pining after ex wet bread oppa in the first episode and she is pining after ex wet bread oppa in the 10th episode.
Is it too late to hope she breaks up with him in the last two episodes and stays ALONE for a change? :( This woman needs SEVERE therapy with a side of MORE therapy. Also wtf, did someone stich her up or she be chilling through life with fucking gashes up and down her arm LMAO what even. Writer just vomited on screen and called it a script XD

I see it differently. I get mild "nice guy" vibes from him. His love is unrequited but he continues to push himself…
I don’t think he really pretended. Everyone and their mamas knew he had feelings for her. Including Beni herself. If she didn’t want those feelings she could have cut him off sooner. Exactly like she did now.

Yeah because he is portrayed as the ‘mild nice guy’. Ofc he didn’t let her do anything. I meant he never burdened her with his crush, he only shot his shot when he could and he was excellent as a partner. Ofc her heart was with someone else, nobody is denying that nor did I want her ending up with him. Tbh, she probably should have never gotten in a relationship with him in the first place. But she probably thought she could get over the loss which she couldn’t. That said, Min Jun is absolutely stand up. He didn’t push his acts of kindness on her randomly, he did it because he was her literal fiancé. If she wanted him to back off, she could just cut him short sooner which she just did in the last ep so … 🤷‍♀️

BTW, Not Min Jun casually being the biggest GREEN flag ever over there.

Silently in love with her for years, letting her do her thing abroad and just waiting for her with no expectations. Then, saying all the right things, doing all the right things. A successful doctor. Hot. Respectful. Great relationship with the family. Reaches out to her when he has to make a big decision. Immediately, locks into her mood shifts and asks her how she is doing. Compliments her, cares for her, offers her company and makes time for her DESPITE LITERALLY BEING A FUCKING SURGEON WITH NIGHT SHIFTS. KSSKKSKSKSKKSKSKS

A MAN LIKE THIS DOES NOT EXIST IN REAL LIFE ... and he still gets dumped. YIKES

Us women really do want the flighty reddish flags LMAO

Min Jun come to me baby. They don't treasure you like you need to be. COME TO JEANA;

I feel like I understand both of them. For her, it was like she always came second to his work. His busy schedule impacted her more because she was all alone. Maybe, if she was in her own country, surrounded by friends and family, she wouldn't have felt this way even if he had more late nights at work. The isolation got to her and she really made the best decision for herself in the end.

For him, he wanted to work, make a life, probably for her as well. And he couldn't understand why she wasn't understanding that. There are so many men with this problem. They love their women but they aren't expressive and think that working hard for a future together is love where as women need those words of affirmation and the company.

So, it's honestly a very real take on a relationship. I don't really want them to end up together, I want it to be an open end so it can go with the same real, raw, vibe it's giving so far. While the idea of a happy ending is fun, her getting together with him right after that breakup with Minjun just leaves a bad taste for me LOL.

I'd rather have them have closure, talk it out and then have some distance to figure out themselves and then a hint of their possible union after some time. Want it to be a little bittersweet instead of a complete happy end.

Title Dear Hyeri
Ok so I hear the people who were like Hyeri developed DID in the four years after her break up with Wet bread oppa. (Which FYI makes zero sense considering the drama shows how after her sister died, her grief was so much that she looked at her remaining things, saw her diary and decided to live and experience life as her. It would make zero sense to not do that for 8 years since her sister is dead and then just one day be like oh time to visit my trauama again. )

Anyway, I digress. Let's say it's true. Still, wet bread oppa's complete lack of awareness of her SEVERE issues is insanity. You don't literally live/ are together with someone for 8 years and not realize how broken they are. Much less, hide an entire army of grannies you're caring every second of.

Also excuse me if I don't much care about wet bread oppa's sob story about mommy leaving him and his reason for breaking up. Like the fact the relationship focuses so much on HIS issues instead of hers is already a red flag.

That said, are we really going for the other bland broth oppa aka Ju Yeon ? Mans is literally like so what if you have DID and you are literally apologizing for things not under your control but hey you hurt my feelings so you suck and I want you to stay sick and be someone you are not JUST so you can fix my own wack emotional quotient and be my girlfriend????

The fact he is like I'mma keep waiting for her other personality to kick in cause I am in love with that personality? Stay delulu, sir.

Honestly, this woman needs to stay alone, go to therapy, fix her emotional scars, do her own radio program and fuck these men because they are clearly NOT it. These oppas have MANY problems and bad acting is just one of them.

There, thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

I wanna let this drama be deep and all but for that I gotta math the math on how Eun Ho and Wet bread oppa dated for 8 years and he didn't know about her multiple personality disorder/severe issues/grief/trauma and she didn't know of his family that consisted of a gaggle of grannies.

And they were living together too, soooooooooooooooooooooooo? :)
Make it make sense.

One thing that flashback did was make me side-eye E1 Ji On a bit, because are there no other women in the world?
literally imagine going after the woman of the man who half raised you :))))))))))))))))))) AND then, being salty after she rejects your ass because she is not over your brother/psuedo father and at what cost. He is not even in the running. LMAO Just one of many stupid writing kinks this story has.

Shin Hye Sun really be CARRYING this drama. She needs to organise an acting masterclass and have the 2 male leads attend it cause fucking hell, these men are so stiff, clogged and up to their nostrils with emotional constipation. I tried to use a magnifying glass to detect oppa microexpressions but nah, this is CARDBOARDISM at its finest. But my girl, really running circles around everyone with that acting range

That would make so much more sense for sure. But to be honest, I don't really care about his very real attempts to kill her in the drama version as well (I am a sucker for anti-heroes/villain romances) as long as they give me a slow path to redemption but the way they are changing his character midway in the show is jarring and just poor writing and the way it looks like the FL is hit with amnesia where his laundry list of crimes is concerned is just making me side eye everything HARD.

speaking of course for the character the actor is playing, for me also the abuse is unacceptable but because this…
yeah I just wish they made it a bit slower. Slow character development, eventual softening of him. I don't like the complete switch up. Then again, it's crack entertainment and not that deep anywho
