Like every other princess, poison girl is also a spoiled one. Maybe very very spoiled. She might cause extra trouble...or…
I did see a questionable scene with her and SYR which is extremely confusing/concerning and maybe a future scene. Though I will give the benefit of the doubt she won't be trouble. Though spoiled I do like to think she's not actually a bad person as she appears to still have some sense of justice... well at least she appears to have a side she's on. The ending scene of ep 31 is fairly interesting. I could be completely wrong. But what the ML said to the FL can almost absolutely apply to the poison girl in terms of not changing oneself for another person. So that might be a turning point of her giving up her love for him since he clearly doesn't reciprocate. Though honestly my wishful thinking.
Alas, I'm definitely planning to read the novel now. Unfortunately it isn't completely translated though. I feel…
AH! I absolutely loved Rebirth of the malicious empress of the military lineage! It's probably one of my favorite novels as someone who doesn't really like reading. I read it a few years back when it was still being translated. Hence when I first started this drama without realizing it was an adaptation. I was surprised it was by the same author but then it made sense why I liked the drama so much. This made me definitely want to read all her other works... though I do prefer reading happy endings.

thanks for the link! but it's still not fully translated lol. there's a total of 241 chapters and I'll probably still continue to read it but sad that ill catch up before it's fully translated.
I don’t think the trailer has to do with a membership as I don’t have a membership for Youku on YouTube. Ugh…
oh my frick... im so anxious about him giving away the army. I'm trying to tell myself this has to be a ploy they are scheming cause no way they be screaming out these things for the public to hear.
The path to revenge is long, unclear, unfocused. Maybe the drama should be called "The Detour"?
It's actually quite the opposite from unclear and unfocused. I think the issue lies in the fact that this drama isn't quite for everyone's taste. The overall drama's storyline is focused on the long game. The revenge isn't the in your face and obvious type of scenes. Nor does the leads attack the opponent in the most straight forward sense either. Every scene that is seen so far links to something greater which is why there is a shift in where the leads go. This is why the ML outside of "romance" aspect is aiding in her schemes because the people she attacks are linked to his main enemy. He benefits from helping her. Also the root to her families downfall lies in who her enemy is linked to which is his main enemy. There has always been one main villain to begin with. This is also why as the story goes further the focus will cross from the FLs revenge to the MLs revenge. There has always been parallels between the FL and ML and the reason they have this kinship with one another.
After certain characters dying that were perfectly fine and happy, safe and sound in the novel if they change…

based on that trailer clip, there's a good chance he's indeed still alive
I knew i couldn't trust chinese directors to give a complete happy ending. They are almost always so sadistic.... but the drama is so good and addictive.
I also felt like this was also her acknowledging to him that she's not his daughter and that his real daughter…
LOL I also am obviously probably thinking too deep into it but it is also the best form of punishment for him as the father. She didn't give him any actual closure. Almost a parallel of what JL had to suffer with in her 10 years in confinement without knowing when her father will come to get her, no notice yet always waiting before she ultimately gave up on him.
Wait, I thought the father figured out she is not JL but was pretending 😂
I am giving him the benefit of the doubt even though he might be just stupid. I honestly think he might just be in denial. I think the moment he admits she's not JL, he would have to be confronted with reality that he essentially killed his daughter with his neglect. Which he probably doesn't want to admit for his own sanity that he brought a devil (that wife) into his family. XFF definitely burst his bubble of giving him hope things are okay but she definitely didn't shatter his hope completely by outright admitting she's not JL in his face. So i think even if he knows in his heart she's probably not JL he's gonna continue to let her be for both their sakes at this point maybe? Hence towards the end he's trying to mend his relationship with his only daughter he has left. Love the fact they neglect the existence of his youngest son lol.
God knows why I keep coming back to this page every two seconds, what I am even looking for?
Oh man we have become that obsessed person altogether. This drama really just sucker punched me in. I was literally going back to look at all the trailers to see unseen snippets. This gives me too much unrealistic hopes for the next few adaptations from the author.
oh this is definitely a slow moving revenge. This is definitely not meant to be an in your face revenge type of…
ahh! I see! To me this is actually in a good pace so far with there being very minimal fillers which I appreciate. Not too many scenes drag on for too long. I particularly like the world building.
Still on ep9 and i really dont know what genre am i watching. Its clearly not a revenge story (or a very slow…
oh this is definitely a slow moving revenge. This is definitely not meant to be an in your face revenge type of drama to begin with if i go based on the other novel the same author has written and how the storyline is going so far. Very much one that builds up for the bigger picture.
Seeing XFFs dad even in his broken state rejecting SYR as the scum that he is was priceless, kudos to the writers…
yeah i loved that scene. also think before he faced all that trauma he knew some truth behind the scenes ( well at least her brother did and by extension i think the father knew a bit of how everything was fishy with SYR). So by instinct he was scared of SYR.
sameee! i started this just to have something to watch casually while i eat since i didn't want a drama to commit…
Ahh Bright Eyes in the Dark has been on my watch list for some time so i may still give it a try one day then. Though the ending ... so unfortunate. Yeah make sense now why the rating of it dropped. People tend to rate the drama based on how it ended.
No I have not seen Crowned Clown yet but that was on my watch list Maybe I'll avoid that drama for now based on your reaction LOL. I do prefer Chinese dramas over k dramas more but in general I am starting to go back into watching dramas as of recently. I tend to get distracted or busy midway into watching a drama then abandoning it. Partly why i do like how I'm watching this drama in real time since it updates at least once a day so i can watch a bit on my free time.
I've stopped watching her reviews... I recommend watching her videos only after watching the dramas, because it…
Hence why I referred to the rest as "outside" of the aspect of her giving the wrong information in terms of dubbing but everything else she says was pretty valid. There were several people who left comments to inform that he dubbed with his own voice. Yes, she shouldn't have given out wrong information like that with such conviction but at the same time I give the benefit of the doubt she simply thought he was dubbed. Granted one shouldn't assume but it's not something i felt was that extreme of a case. Doesn't negate how it's wrong information but not something i felt wasn't impossible to be misinformed about. To say she's taking ones hard work away is also on the extreme end. Makes sense as someone who may be passionate about being correctly informed but at the same time... a person with common sense won't takes all her words like it's the absolute truth. People make misinformed takes all the time. This is by no means me saying her videos are great. I have mentioned i can casually watch a few to see her opinions but i know her videos in general are not for me as she prefers literary and mature works which I personally dislike. Also the reason I'm not to surprised she wasn't the most fond of this drama whereas i am.

See a prime example! I'm currently mourning at the fact I started this drama without waiting for it to finish to see if there was a happy ending (yes I'm the person who prefers happy endings). I have so much trust issues with Chinese production companies. Like with Korean productions I feel majority of the time they will stick to the original plot whereas Chinese productions have such a huge track record of clearly being so sadistic on their endings. I don't like sad endings but I dislike open endings even more LOL. At least give me a scene of them staring at each other at the very minimum if they aren't gonna do a full happy ending. I don't need that " for your imagination" BS cause i can do that without watching the drama
