Yes, she is a character that has appeared in the novel. She has a toxic love for Sheng Huai Nan and he knows about…
no problem! Yes this drama was filmed earlier. Though in terms of productions I think this drama was later than 2019 version. 2019 was probably filmed in 2018 or early 2019 and managed to snag a spot to be released earlier via online because the company that produced it was the same company that released it (tencent). This drama the 2021 version was probably filmed early 2019 and we saw the trailer of it by 2020. Both dramas probably filmed closely at the same time. This one probably started filming later cause of the actor filming so many dramas is what I meant. As to why it wasn't released, its probably the fact that snagging an airing spot is actually very competitive... I've heard. Personally it think part of it was they tried to snap a spot in Tencent ( which is released on tencent right now). Tencent produced the 2019 drama. They probably had a hand not allowing the drama to be released too closed to their version. ... just a thought

There can be many reasons.... but I think it has a lot to do with the production companies budget. Every production has their own budget and we cant judge. I theorize that the author of the novel sold the rights to make the adaptation to several different production companies at the same time. Hence why there appears to be 3 version coming out around the same time. I don't want it to seem like im trying to "diss" 2019's casting, but it appears like the leads were not as well known before the drama came out ( this is often seem with lower budget productions.) it costs a lot of money to hire someone popular. More actors/actress with lines = more money. Someone somewhere said 2021 version is only coming out now because Hu Yi Tian was busy with other dramas. The production for 2021 probably rather spend more money on him while waiting to get their ideal castings for their version. also, Zhang Yi Jie and Hu Bing Qing were also probably expensive hires. 2021's budget was probably more? So they can afford that short hair girl to have a few lines and appear LOL. That's just my theory based on my knowledge of how film productions work.

I also think it's weird that there are already two tv series for the same series (not that it bothers me but it's…
the author probably sold the rights to make adaptations to the novel to several companies at the same time. That would cause several versions to be made.

LOL .... i guess this drama will never be released every again, permanently shelved. I feel lowkey bad for all those actors/actresses in this drama... but they at least got paid?

Naw.. she probably is going to be dubbed unless she mastered perfect standard mandarin. Even several Chinese actors/actresses…
... I never said she was speaking Chinese........ I said she was dubbed over in the trailer aka someone else speaking Chinese over her lip movement. The audio that's being spoken when her lips move IS Chinese. The things she is saying in real life that's not being shown is unknown, I can care less if she is speaking gibberish behind the scenes because that doesn't matter if at the end she is being dubbed.

Your second paragraph is my reasoning for skipping many k-dramas. Don't get me wrong, there have been a handful…
I feel like generally most actors/actresses improve overtime with experience, idols included. It isn't fair.. but at the same times that's why connections are so lucrative. Normally if an actress/actor is capable they start out with filming in smaller productions to build experience and credibility. On the other hand idols have the advantage of being able to draw in viewers, whereas an actor/actress with years of training yet has not acted in enough dramas/movies/ not connected to a known company does not have that. From a business standpoint it makes sense... Now if you are talking about idols beating capable experienced actors/actresses, I don't know about that since i don't read articles much. Though I would think directors/producers rather have an experienced actress/actor over an idol if both of them auditioned and both of them suit the roles.

I agree. I am so over some 20 year old playing an accomplished CEO. I mean, with the age of the FL, who is always…
There are actually dramas out there that have romances for people over 30, 40, 50+ years old. I know that because my mom enjoys watching that type of stuff. Also, a huge chunk of my childhood was watching dramas catered towards older people.. As much as I agree with parts of what is being said, I cannot fault the industry entirely for that.... since I enjoy those stories with young looking leads. I believe the idea is they are catering towards peoples " fantasies" which is why those type of dramas generally do well overall. Also the reason why they often cast young people. That being said though... I think those drama's targeted demographic are young people but with older people who also happen enjoy it.

I don't think it's wrong to expect certain things from the adaptation of a beloved book. People are justified…
I don't think we need to be grateful. I'm sorry your long paragraph semi rant got me slightly confused. The context of homophobic censorship or lack of lgbtq+ whatever stuff is not just in China. Even America that is considered one of the more "open" countries still isn't entirely open to that category. BL type of drama has already been slowly on the rise. It got even more known with the rise of novel adaptations being made. There isn't anything to be grateful for... the reason these dramas are even being produced is because there is an audience for it and its a money grabbing scheme. I do think actors/actresses would still take the role if China didn't ban gay romance. If it was acceptable in society, at the end of the day acting is simply acting for most of them. Unless they themselves cannot act or pretend to be in love with someone they are not it wouldn't be an issue overall. People would still pay for the production of BL dramas because ... again there is a market for it. Though i agree hating on the actors without seeing the performance is a bit much. But at the same time I can see why that is the case when the appearance isn't quite what you expect from reading the novel... it can be disheartening.

Didn't know the trailer was out. Just checked it. The moment she opened her mouth and I heard the voice... I can confirm its 100% dubbed. Her mouth doesn't line up with the voice is one sign. Sound of the audio is another sign.

is there gonna romance between haruto and aya? was the romance between the real haruto and aya??i haven't completed…
I watched this over 10 years ago but am revisiting this page because i saw the trailer. Haruto not actually existing is realistic plus he never existed to begin with. Apparently the family requested for a guy to be with her since irl she never got a chance to experience it other than only thinking about it. I personally like the additional character because he almost acts as a foil for Aya. Also helps give contexts to parts of her thoughts on the future, love and marriage.

So Park Min Young speaks Mandarin?
Naw.. she probably is going to be dubbed unless she mastered perfect standard mandarin. Even several Chinese actors/actresses get dubbed if they can't speak perfect standard mandarin.

My memory is the best it could ever be when it comes to dramas LOL
Some of those things are only done by people who are ballsy enough for it or can handle it. Personally I can stay up pretty late without it effecting me at all. I'm a deep sleeper but I don't do it often since I love sleep. Honestly... idk how people be watching currently airing drama.... i say that but I grew up doing that during dinner/ night time. It was a daily activity my entire family took part in. Then again back then there wasn't any streaming services PFFT.

My memory is the best it could ever be when it comes to dramas LOL
I cant be bothered to be attached to any drama/movie for more then a day or two so it goes poof. I call it goldfish memory because I tend to simply forget because ... I don't care enough? Idk which is why I said I'm no where as extreme to any of those points even as someone who considers themselves a drama addict. I can't continue to love a drama for more than 2 days after I finish it. Afterwards I practically act like it doesn't exist until someone is asking for drama recommendations or im looking for a rewatch. Even in those two days it's not an all day thing. I finish the drama... praise it to my brother for maybe 10 minutes max. It goes something like this " omg.. (name of drama) is so good. You should watch it. It's about ( gives synopsis and genre)" *then proceeds to walk away like I never said any of that then moves onto another drama.*
kkdrama Sep 27, 2020
I always considered myself a huge drama addict.... but I don't think I can get anywhere as extreme as any of those points listed except the spoilers part. I do levels of spoilers depending on what the person asks since it tends to be harder to convince some people to watch a drama based on the synopsis. Though I never go as far to spoil anything while they are watching the drama. Most I do is wait for them to hit that episode and chat about it. My level of attachment to a drama or movie lasts normally a day or 2 then poof its gone.... goldfish memory LOL. It's nice to have someone to watch Asian dramas with or talk about. I recently told my brother to start a drama with me and he seems to like it right now. He's a casual watcher though :'D

So when the drama is popular and everyone loves it there are some people raise their expectations...they want…
I mean honestly, just let them be. There are people in the world who love to watch things and hate on it because of their nonsensical expectations. I never understood the idea of people watching dramas or movies that they personally aren't interested in... at the end of the day it will lead to disappointment. Now I understand if they looked at the casts, the genres, and the plot and was interested in it to only be disappointed. Though it seems there's a lot more people just disappointed in it because it has high rating and they don't think it deserves it. Then again there are plenty of picky people out there. I find those that judge a storyline harshly often go into a drama with a mindset of picking apart every little detail they don't like. As a result they end up not liking the drama/movie LOL

Probably because there is some truth to it? I think the mother plot ruined it for a lot of people
@Lunakaddict @ABETTERTOMORROW may I suggest both of ya'll to take a little chill pill? Lunakaddict rating untamed a 1.5 for its bad cgi can make some sense but it's also a very low budget production. They also have a targeted audience that just may not be for Lunakaddict. ABETTERTOMORROW can also rate this drama a 1 for it being "overrated" although that's a very close-minded type of thing... who are we to judge. This drama might also not be ABETTERTOMORROW's type either. Let the people who love to give low rating give their low rating after all the rating on this site is highly subjective to begin with right?

I read a comment that said XZ, in an Untamed interview, said he learned a lot while acting in this drama, now…
It probably is true, I think this would have been one of his first bigger production dramas he acted in.

Honestly Darren Wang would be perfect for this role. I mean... Leo Wu ... maybe he will transform for this role? Bulk up maybe... LOL probably not. Will still watch this though.

Oh come on. Enough already.Just release it so we fans can finally enjoy it for crying out loud!!!!
;w; I know right! I want it to airrr
though I kind of think part of the issue it originally didn't get released was due to the China rules and getting a network to host the drama. Then now it's them revising the edits. Besides adding more scenes, I assume they have deleted quite a bit of scenes originally with Xiao Zhan (to shorten the amount of episodes) that now they want to potentially add back.
Its kinda rare for Darren Wang to accept romance roles since he seems to leans towards movies and actions roles... though it could be him getting type casted ... we never know behind the scenes LOL
