Maybe non of the couple actually like each other for real.. I think Yitan and Wangquan Zui Couple is more convincing.. I can feel some realistic likeness between them.. But Ding Yu Xi and Meng ZiYi is also not bad at all. All side couple are way better than our main CP in their chemistry and their backstory romance building.

Ding Yu Xi is my bias now.. I Wish he got a happy ending with ZiYi but that's unlikely.. My heart was pounding for him at his kiss scene haha.

You are right, a well built romance can actually make sense without any single kiss... But with this type dead fish kiss will somehow render all their chemistry useless, making the audience feel the lack of love between them when they comes close to each other.... Just take "Love of nivirna" for example; even without kisses and skinship but their chemistry was hella impressive that left something in our heart... So right now I kind of feel like their love is just fake when they are not even comfortable with each lol.

I really love her naughtiness, she will be shocked when she realize that her favorite mask guy is actually The person she's fighting against.

From that present time line in the future, What he saw was the death of Yitan from 8 years ago when the mask group fought the black fox and perished together except that one survivor, which is the magic artifact guy who Yitan saved by stripping off his heavenly eye..
