First I wanna say what even is this drama. I can’t believe a drama can have so many things I hate in one drama. I loved them in love better than immortality and was so excited for there second show together, this show really butchered my love for them, I felt that I needed to cleanse my soul. The production was bad (it had some of the worst special effects/ CGI I have ever seen, yes i understand the budget was probably low and this drama was probably a web drama but so were lusi other shows but they weren’t as bad as this, thankfully lusi is a good actress), the story was horrible, so many love triangle, so many annoying characters, so many frustrating plots and the ML’s actions/decisions are so wtf (what I wanna say is spoilers so I’ll comment separate).

This is the first time I have liked or even notice a director of a drama. If you watch Love like the galaxy (LLTG) you’ll know how great he is, he’s so talented and puts so much time, love and attention into his shows (based on what I saw in LLTG + the BTS of LLTG). Apart from his talent, he is also a very friendly and dorky/ adorable person. In the BTS of LLTG he was always so positive even when he seemed really tired. I remember in one BTS scene clip he had tissues in his nose which I think was bc he had a nosebleed but he still kept working and laughed at lusi’ s dorky joke. He’s one of the rare directors that knows what the watchers want and knows what he’s doing.

Also a slight spoiler for LLTG (don’t read if you don’t wanna be spoiled) -> the kissing scene at the bed after the ML got punish and the FL went looking for him was added mid production (meaning it wasn’t scripted) thanks to this adorable director, he said the viewers wanna she you guys kiss and the ML and FL were reluctant bc they though it was too early but the director said just do it lol anyways super sweet talent director. He puts so much love and passion into his production.

Also I wanna say, I suggest everyone to go look at the BTS so many hidden cute sweet moment in there ;) Its a few weeks since I have finish watching it and I still can’t get over it ;-; This drama will forever be in my heart ;-;

I love this drama so much but I just wanna say the kissing are so stiff but I get they are going for a pure feel as the FL is only 15 or so and they are each other’s real first love. The hugs were really sweet though ;-; LOVE LOVE this CP

I came back to watch this drama a second time and I noticed theres so many negative comment so I just wanna say, give this drama a try don’t be affected by the bad reviews/ comment.

When I first went into this drama I didn’t have much anticipation because there were a lot of bad press/ reviews on this drama which now I know was done on purpose to make this show not be successful (also fans from yang yang previous drama were upset with this pairing as he’s seems as a “old” or “mature” actor so a lot of people felt Lusi is unfit and lusi herself has a lot of anti-fans that hate on her for no reason, like theres a new upcoming drama that she is staring in called “hidden love” I think and she was getting a bunch of hate from the novel fans, my poor bb, pls be more kind the show hasn’t even aired and they are already assume she will be trash ;-;). Like there was a whole thing were there was rumours saying that the show was abusing horses or something. There was also a bunch of accounts reviewing the drama and saying the show made the FL look weak and had turn into a male idolizing show and a bunch of negaitve stuff (I literally didn’t see one good review video), which after watching I know is false as the FL and ML support each other and there are many strong independent women characters, the FL and ML save each other. (The accounts cut the scenes to make the show seem as if the female is incapable without the ML instead of them saving/supporting each other) Also there was some drama in the production team resulting a change in director mid airing.

I wanna point out some of my favourite parts in this drama:
- relationship devopment of the main couple in the drama -> no fall in love with ML with no reason
- female lead -> no useless/ no common sense FL + side female charcter where very strong too they each had there goals/ passion and didn’t revolve around only guys
- dorky sweet healthy realtionship with no dumb misunderstanding -> 2 people that make each other better when together, they support each other
- both the female/ male lead have a sense of boundaries with other male/ females intrested in them
- easy plots + conflict to follow/ understand -> a bit of political drama as well as family/ fight for power drama, along with wuxia elements
- each actor for each character were convincing
- also loved the whole royal family as well as the solider commander of Qing province -> there goal was always peace and they always wanted the best for there people ;-; they only fight when provoked (they were all so wholesome)

(This is all ill say for now as I feel I have said too much already haha)

A slight spoiler I wanna say is the last 2 episode gave me conflicting feelings, very painful and bittersweet. IF you wish you can stop at 38 (if you are only here for romance) but the last 2 episode are nesscary to finish up the story (spoiler I cried a lot) or you can watch the last bit of the last episode at 40:40, super sweet and lusi was so beautiful ;-; yang yang was really adorable and they had really nice chemistry ;-;.

PS I didn’t read the novel so all my views are non-bias. IF anyone would like to discuss/ talk about thoughts on the show or about what I said feel free to comment.

I felt the same way. Like they hype the power they got from that old man in the cave (that a bunch of people were fighting for) so much. But I do understand bc i heard there was drama in the production team that resulted in a director change in the mid of production and I also heard that people were making fake news about animals abuse on set and other dumb stuff. Like people bought bad press just to down this show. ;-;

Officially they get together in 31 but from the start of the drama you can tell they are lovey dovey. The ML menation at the beginning of having a small crush on the FL’s other identity.

In LLTG the flow of the relationship between the main CP is very realistic. The FL due to family reasons has always had trusting issues, She also doesn’t like relying on others nor did she think she could rely on anyone. Unlike most drama where the FL just started liking the ML bc he’s nice to them or something. I would also have to politely disagree. Each charcter have there own story and there actions were all reasonable to there charcter. If you want some romance or whatever you are looking for that will be in LLTG part 2. The FL does finally realize her love for ML and they do have very sweet moment as well as a lot of charcter development throughout the characters.

I saw that some people wanted to know this version vs the 2014 version, so I wanted to give some input on it since I have watched the 2014 version and this version without much spoiler.

Personally I felt the 2014 version is better. This version was lacking in the story pacing, there was a bunch of important details/ scenes cut out and some of the scene seemed pieced together, making a lot of it confusing. It also lacked a lot of relationship building of Xiao bao with his bros and other character so when he cried or cared for them it seemed really fake and we couldn’t sympathies with the character.

For example in the 2014 version they did a really good job of following the story and showcased Xiao bao’s life/ relationship with each character so then you’ll be able to see why he cared so much about his clan + master but one thing this version did do better is the bromance relationship of the empire and Xiao bao, I found there scenes really touching, they seem like 2 good bros that went through a lot together (there was scene that made me cry ;-;).

This version also lacked a lot of important details in the key scene like the killing/ capturing of obai scene (this version did a really bad job of showing how intense it was, along with many other scenes but I don’t wanna spoil anything).

In conclusion if you liked this story I would suggest you go watch the 2014 version. This version is more carefree i guess and more comedy based. ZYS’s face/ reaction is really funny and some of the side characters gave really cute reactions/ expressions haha. (Hated the princess’s character though, nothing against the actor, just the character is annoying).

Both version have its pros and cons, both are worth a watch. This version wasn’t bad either because the whole cast was pretty funny and this version is very comedic.

I love Lu si but this is one of her shows that I couldn’t watch through. I personally felt she had such a better chemistry with the second male lead. Also I don’t like Xu Kai Cheng, especially after the recent news of him cheating on his gf and even pua her (super unsettling and gross). He even tried to get with another female celebrate and made everything think she’s a home wrecker. I always felt there was something about him that I didn’t particularly like.

In the end he went crazy ;-; I wish he could be with Qu tian er (why everyone separate them even fate separate them ;-;)

Also why did they have to pair Jing xin with the 14th prince ;-; would have been better if it was with Mo Lian Cheng’s bodyguard. ;-;

The love story of qu tian er and the first prince breaks my heart ;-; the main cp is really cute and all but this was hard to watch through, I lowkey ship Qu tian er with the first prince (don’t like her sister and by Qu tian er I’m talking about the original her in that timeline, the one in love with the first prince). Even in the first season it was hard to watch through. The first prince only really wanted to be with tian er ;-; The first prince has a much better makeup plus costume, no more of the black eyeliner in season 1 lol. (He’s really handsome)

I’m not sure myself but it seemed he only used one pedal and there was so many pedals. In the book I think the flower was created by the ML to symbolize him and her thus the black and white pedals. Since the poison was unknown I feel there could be a unknown cure (would make a great season 2 theme). Well the fight between hei feng and huang Chao was a battle to see whose stronger (not completely necessary) but glad he understood when hei feng told him theres a bigger enemy. Yeah that part made no sense. It was so obvious he was so sus.

The production team was being rushed to finish that’s why. I think its still good but I personally didn’t find the ending to be not satisfying enough.

Ohhh yeah i know right ? I watched a bit forLu si but I think she had better cp with SML, I saw spoiler clips that he died so yup I’m not watching it.

The ending was so bittersweet ;-; I don’t believe there isn’t a cure, even Yu Wu Yuan found a cure. Plus remember the flower, they only used the white pedals no? (Not sure if I remembered correctly). I wanna watch them find a cure and have a full family. Also Lu Si’s hair in the end looked really nice on her. Feng Lanxi also wants freedom and to do what he wants but everyone keeps telling him he has responsibility but I’m glad his mentor and Feng Qiwu respected his decision in the end. There was a part that was really touching, he said everyone tells me to let it go but its only you Bai Feng xi that tells me otherwise.

ML’s father was pitiful too. I feel the Bai queen never loved him, and deep down in knows. He’s smart, he knows she plotted everything but he loves her so he turns a blind eye and every now and then he would ask her to not cause conflict and just have a normal peaceful marriage life with him but every time she just keeps talking about making the 3rd prince the next king.

Oh and he never cared about world peace, he has a big ego and a big pride. He wants his family to be peaceful and not be a laughing stock (wants to create a fake image of a loving peaceful family).

Huang Chao gave me mixed feelings, he claims to want the best for the people but he choose to plot a war? Also his goal was the main empire but he decided to take over hei feng bai feng’s kingdoms, made me lose respect of him but then at the end when he admitted he was defeated and didn’t deserve the throne that was respectful.

Right? Since they were both so smart. I think they added his death to make her become stronger then Huang Chao (remember how before they were equally powerful but after the death of Han Pu she basically squashed him). Yes I’m so glad she remain wholesome and loyal.

Ohh all the episode are out so you can watch it now :) I waited for all the episode too. It was so cute and sad but also funny. The ending was wholesome but not satisfying enough for me tbh, let me know what you think. I heard 10 episode worth of content were cut, theres rumours going our that they may remove it and edit in the cropped content then re-upload it. I guess I’ll have to rematch it hahah.

Yang Yang and lulu is still cute though haha. Surprisingly i didn’t skip much for this drama. The slightly two-faced maid was resolved rather quick which was really satisfying. I fast forward in scene with the ML’s idiot dad ;-;.
