Nope, I beg to differ, this is murder, a criminal matter and not a civil one. The court will never convict a person with little or no evidence just because the police has a hunch or circumstances say otherwise. You must be convicted only beyond reasonable doubt and not on probabilities or possibilities, there is no 50/50 here.
Names matter a whole lot, if you kill someone they have to be absolutely sure that you are the one that killed and that victim is actually your victim. If not the likelihood of you being convicted is minimal. (Have you ever heard of double jeopardy, your name and the victims name help in such situations).
Self defence would have worked for her but she never said she was Sarah Kim, she is Mi Jeong. So there's no self defence here.
The ways the police has to prove her as Sarah Kim are circumstantial. It does not mean because you were in a place at the wrong time that you commited the crime and are guilty. And your identity matters, to know if you're a foreigner, a citizen, of a particular community, family, everything about you is important. To also know which laws would apply and does that would not.
All the people she interacted with are no longer talking to her so there's no one the police can confront that won't even lie or ignore them. As no one wants to be liable or have a connection to the case.
All in all no substantial, real evidence no case. The court would prefer to release her then put an innocent person in prison.

With no murder weapon, no cctv footage, no witness actually being there even observing a little, no confession from Sarah Kim, no medical evidence (DNA, FINGERPRINTS and the like), Sarah Kim's alibi, it is hardly impossible to convict someone for murder. As Sarah Kim there is no mens rea (which is a guilty mind), there is no intention for her to kill or commit the murder but as Mi Jeong there is serious intention to kill even looking at her background. Sarah Kim also retracted her statement. now she is Mi Jeong and can be seen to be suffering from identity crisis even.
And when it comes to the fraud, if there is no person that says I was scammed or defrauded, then there is no case. The police have nothing on Sarah Kim so the best would be to take her as Mi Jeong.

Very nice movie, nice acting but the comments are too exaggerated. I didn't cry once as I watched this film so I do not understand how the film is so traumatizing, terrifying or horrifying and everyone in the comment is crying...like seriously?!??, I've seen wayyy more traumatizing, psychological and terrifying movies. I'll give this a 7.5/10. Also, I don't know who else saw it, but it was quite obvious from the beginning who the villain was. I'll give this movie a solid 7/10 instead. I was waiting for a serious plot twist, but me..I did not see it. And this movie is not so sad..you guys should chill.
