Yes the performances of both Bai Lu and ZLH were very nuanced. But yes we know Bai Lu always performs well- it…
Yeah he really took over the show ^^ And it's not just because he's handsome, he was just as handsome in LBFD and it didn't have that impact. It's the aura he has in this drama.
I wanted to see more of his work, so I started to watch My Journey To You, and although I'm enjoying it, it's really not the same thing. He's playing a nice guy, a little naive, so a very different character. But it also shows how versatile he is ^^
I love the fact that even though the main leads are both Grey characters, this drama has an unapologetic happy…
I think the times when the 'heroes' were all white and pure are a little oldfashion. A lot of the more recently successful dramas, especially Chineses dramas, had grey main characters "winning" in the end. Not only is it more realistic, but it also makes them more human and relatable.
In fact if you have watched Xianxia/wushia cdramas, the screenwriters seem to be making a point of showing the hypocrisy of the people who are supposedly 'good', doing horrible things for the 'greater good' but always the first to put the blame on the vilains for doing the exact same thing ^^
I enjoyed watching this drama. but I think this is overrated, agree?I mean if the FL wast played by Bia lu it…
Disagree, for me the ML led that show, his performance was amazing. Bai Lu was just a great as always, but the whole cast did a good job. The story was good, the dialogues interesting and the political game well written.
The cast was exceptionnal! I've seen a lot of Bai Lu's dramas and she was just as great as always, but it was only my 2nd time seeing Zhang Ling He and he really made an impression on me. Some scenes were so intense and powerful I had to watch them twice or 3 times just to focus on their expressions without needing to read the subtitles. Same for the princess, great choice. I would say I liked a lot of the characters, they were well written and truely useful to the story.
The writing of the drama was also really good : great storytelling, interesting dialogues: no basic or common "wise" sentences - after watching so many Cdramas, they kind of all sound similar at some point - but these ones were truely original and adequate. I really liked the concept of finding, NOT the best person you can find, but someone that truely fits you and understands you. There are so many dramas where you don't actually understand why the main leads are in love with each other... okay they're hot, but what else? Why are they so willing to sacrifice everything for this one person? Well this drama did an amazing job showing that. I look forward to watching other dramas by this screenwriter.
A series about strong women, without strong women :((( There is no strength in them, just like there is no true…
How are they any different from superheroes like Superman? And you're wrong, they can still feel fear when their family is in danger. Nam Soon knew she would be in danger, yet she still took the drugs to save her adoptive mother... she was obviously scared for her. You think she wasn't scared when Shi Oh grabed her by the neck and she couldn't fight back? The grandmother and mother risked their lives to help Nam Soon when she was dying. Would you think the same if they had died in the process?
It's called Strong Girl Namsoon, but like over 60% of the show is Namsoon's mother and grandmother personal fashion…
Look at the cast, the 3 women are actually introduced as 'main role'. I think the show was more about the powers of the women in their family and the way they handle things so differently depending on their personality.
Omg the scenes at school where Xiao Nai appears are hilarious, they are so extra with all the girls taking pictures and talking so loud everyone can hear them π I can't imagine a scene like that happening in my college just because a guy is handsome ^^
What you said about the villain is absolutely right, but then you said "The Drama Is Good", girl this drama is…
Disagree, the writing is interesting to me. It's nice to focus on 3 generations of very different women, their love life, but mostly the way they use their strengh to do good. The actors are all pretty good, especially the FL. The plot was pretty clear from the start as to where this was heading, so I don't understand the people saying it's "a mess". The FL has never had any romantic interest in the vilain, she was all over the ML since ep 2. And so far, the only reason I've seen in the comment as to why they disliked the show was because they were rooting for Shi Oh and FL.
I really don't get the comments, what's wrong with you people?? Just because he's pretty and had a traumatic childhood doesn't mean he can kill people and still get away with it... The drama is good, y'all are just messed up π

2024 is starting strong ^^
