The characters for s2 and 3 were extremely under-developed with little to no proper backstories, motives and developments,…
We barely got to know anything about s2 and s3 characters. S1 focused on less people and it payed off. We don't get told what happened to them or how they got into Squid game, we SEE it. We see what happens to the immigrant worker, we see the north korean girl having money problems, we know how the childhood friend is. We even see and know his mother! Junho's arc in s1? Damn i was clutching my chair the whole time he was sneaking around. And now? We only saw him having phone calls. Even the background people, like the husband and wife in s1 interested me more, than anyone else in the last two seasons.

Hyunju? His whole story is being trans and not accepted by SK people. Yes, it's a problem, but to me it felt forced, just being there for the sake of being there. (i was sad for him, but that's it.)
Daehoo? A coward. His character was realistic, but he deserved what he got. His character was simply being guilty and trying to stay alive. But wasn't everyone like that? He wasn't that special to me, or stood out in any way.
Junhui? She was there for the "romance/second chance" plot, and to shock people that she was pregnant. And the way she died?
Myung-gi? To be honest, i didn't understand his character at all. At times, it seemed like he still cared about Junhui and wanted to be with her, but at the end he suddenly became so money hungry, that he didn't even care about his own child? I just couldn't wrap my head around him.

All of these characters might have been better, like the s1 ones, if we left out Thanos's gang, and a few others. The only person you didn't mention, that i think actually had a story, was the soldier girl.

Please don't hate me, but this is my opinion.

Title Reborn
I would say it's heavy, instead of sad. Toxic, strict and suffocating family, loss of a sister/daughter, everyone…
I'm glad i could help! ^^
I also expected it to be more happy in general, but it was worth my time. The poster and the romance tag are a bit misleading imo.

Can anyone spoil me why this drama so sad? I'm not sure if I should watch it yet.
I would say it's heavy, instead of sad. Toxic, strict and suffocating family, loss of a sister/daughter, everyone has so many emotions bottled up inside of them, yet none of them wants to talk about it. Traditional roles, worth of male and female relatives. "Taboo" topics, like AIDS. How rumors can destroy lives. Trying to fight for what is right, even when they say to leave it. Trying to break free of that cage, that everyone wants to keep you in.

Honestly it's very hard to summarize, because there are just so many topics, and most of it is not positive. It's heavy, suffocating and might even be depressing . Other than that, it's HEA. But it's a long ride there. I suggest you watch the first 2-3 episodes so that you can get a glimpse into the drama's vibe, and then decide whether you want to continue or not.

I would say keep watching, but i literally fell in love with this drama, so i'm biased!😅 If you find it really hard to keep going, don't force yourself, or just finish it later when you're in the mood for it! ^^

what these letters mean in players room?
It's in latin: hodie mihi, cras tibi - today for me, tomorrow for you; or my turn today, yours tomorrow

Title Reborn Spoiler
can somone explain to me the ml’s father story bout the medical stuff i lwk got confused within these recent…
From what I understood: There was a patient that no one wanted to operate on, because she would probably die, but ml's dad did the surgery and it went well. Later there were complications, so they had to operate a 2nd time, and she died. Then the family sued them, saying that they made unnecessary interventions, so they (the hospital) could extract more money from the family (which is not the case), and now they are not willing to pay for the hospital bills.
Hope this helps, and I got everything right!

I wouldn't say people are mad about the harem. More like, they find this aspect to be a turn off in a love story.…
Yes, you're cometely right. I'm from Europe, so I don't know much about that real life aspect, but even in dramas it's draining, whether it's one woman and multiple men, or in reverse.
I was only trying to say, that it could be worse, or more complicated. These marriages were only for power, so it doesen't bother me. I also hope there won't be a lot of catfights, because like you said, these women are pitiful. We only got a glimps into the wife's situation and I already feel bad for her.

I also enjoy the drama so far, hope it stays like this way for the rest of the journey!

Honestly, why are people so mad about the harem? Like, he doesn't love anyone of them, yeah he might visit them from time-to-time (obv), but it's not like all the other MLs out there only had FL in their entire life, just like irl.
We didn't really see him engage with any of the 3 concubines, just the wife. And even then it wasn't so lovey-dovey. He just watches the drama unfold between the women, while sipping his tea. xd If he loved any of them, he wouldn't just sit by and watch.

Can you guys share your thoughts with me on the mom? I want some different perspectives.
First 10 eps, she was so annoying and toxic. I get that she was trying to protect her child, but the way she was doing was stupid. Locking her daughter in a cage and suffocating her was just not it.
Throughout ep 11, I think they came to a mutual understanding. Qingyu was comforting her mom, and she was caring towards her daughter, I liked it. She opens up more, I wish she had done it sooner, instead of keeping it all in. I hope their relationship will get better later on!
What infuriates me, is that I understand Beiyu is a wound for her that Qingyu is trying to tear up, but keeping quiet is also not the right thing. She should have stood up and protected her daughter, instead of slandering her like everyone. Poor Beiyu had no one to turn to, not even her parents.

I can't!!! How can this ending be so perfect, yet so bad??? I love it, because it screams real life, but I want my sugarcoated and fluffy happy ending!

But for real, I loved this one! Park Bo Young showed a completly new side to me (only saw a few of her dramas), and I fell in love with the male lead! Their acting and chemistry was amazing, that's part of the reason why I'm so sad about the ending. Amazing drama, but now, let me cry myself to sleep!
