can someone tell me if you should or have to watch S1 in order to enjoy S2? I'm only watching S2 for Johnny Huang, but if story really should start with S1, I'm willing to invest. Assuming S2 is subbed out there.

overall, this drama was good except i found the many scenes (and one whole ep) spent too much time using the gimmick of other people talking over her while she was trying to express her true feelings. Once or twice would have been fine, but they overused this to string the drama along.
this was definitely one that would have been better to binge than to watch while currently airing. one ep per week on top of the above issue made this drama slip at times into the mode where "I wish it was over already!"....but in actuality, it was a decent drama if not compounded by this.
i tried it when i saw you were putting together this article a few days ago. The website is kinda cool and scary at the same time. I personally was concerned i'd be hypnotized and God knows what would be implanted subconsciously in my mind. Anyway, my prob is i didn't head into it with a show already picked out. During the first half of the process i was debating what show i wanted....what show was my favorite? This choice alone was a stressor for me. Anyway, I finally picked Breaking Bad, which is an American series. I've actually watched it a couple times. After picking my show i melded back into the process. I got some nice relaxing down time...but that's about it. I still remember everything about the show. So, my recommendation is to pick a show ahead of time to give yourself a better chance. But ultimately, there's a good chance it won't work....and after all, it is a gimmick to sell TVs.
Great article. Thanks for putting together. Love that you had a mix of K/C/J and Taiwanese in here. (Recommendation: i think it would have been helpful to list which country the drama is from as so many are particular about the kind of dramas they prefer/don't prefer).
i just watched the whole thing last nite. i watched becuz i am watching him in Moonshine and Valentine where he…
While I too would like to see it wrapped up properly, I'm loving Huang Johnny in Moonshine and Valentine, Would also like to see Xu Huang Zhou in whatever's he's got next. He hasn't been in anything surprisingly since although he has a bunch lined up for 2018. I guess he's been busy making music and doing concerts.
Just finished this and I see why people are BEGGING for a 2nd season.Couldn't Taiwan pick this up?
i just watched the whole thing last nite. i watched becuz i am watching him in Moonshine and Valentine where he is doing a great job, I knew i recognized him from somewhere. I watched a youtube BL clip of him a long time ago. I havent seen him in anything since but will watch his other stuff after watching both of these dramas.
Anyway, Addicted Heroin is excellent. First, I was so saddened and disappointed that there wasn't an S2, but then i read the online eng translation of the book of the chapters following the last scene.,...and I honestly don't see how they could do an S2 and maintain the integrity of the story. Lets say it would have to be so watered down that it would make me wonder how they'll pull it off whether it produced in China, Taiwan, Thailand or wherever.
If you are interested here's the link. Its worth starting a couple chapters before the last scene in the drama because some of the novel was cut due to the sexual detail. This is the ep in the story when the mother shows up at their apartment to their surprise and she is all excited about how well they get along together. http://saehan01.com/addicted-chapter-111/ I read a good handful of chapters and it sure is...umm, an informative read in certain parts....
