how is Kai in this? i'll be honest, i am watching this because i want to see him in something else. i watched a bunch of the eps in his prior drama and thought he was good in it but i was just sooooo not interested in a story about a hospice. So I dropped it and want to see him in something else where his acting skills are in the limelight.
Does he have much of a role as a supporting cast member?
interesting movie and journey. gritty with lots of room for interpretation. sad view of life from this perspective.. I think both the male leads did a fine job in this. The female lead, although annoying as a character, fit the part. it wasn't enjoyable or entertaining, but it wasn't designed to be. p.s. this is on fastdrama.co
i think the story had more potential...it was a great concept and intriguing to watch the characters go thru this experience. I felt it strayed too much plot-wise, and had too much of a sappy ending where the writers tried too hard to tie everything up with a bow. The ending really disappointed me...was just blah...almost like it was written by some other writing team. Matsuda Shota was a joy to watch. Actually, all the actors did a great job, it was the script that fell apart here and there in the second half. Even with all this, overall, worth the watch .
6 mos later and am referring to this AGAIN. After watching him in Hana Yori Dango, I just needed to see more of him again. I've seen a number of his works (not enough though) and am in sync with your similar views on those. Am off to watch A Crowd of Three.
His adult roles were definitely what stood out for me :') I love him in Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto and he was fantastic…
i liked good morning call too for same reason- cohab trope. I liked the guy's undercover protection he gave her too. I haven't watched part 2 yet. Although my main reason for watching that would be for Sakurada Dori who has a more pronounced role i heard. I started liking him awhile after Good Morning Call, so I probably should rewatch a focus on him. But, since part 2 came out, I'll start with that as my next step. too many other shows in PTW to watch stuff twice unless they are on my FAV Drama or Movie list....those are the exceptions that i can watch over and over, LOL
i liked him in most of his high school-oriented roles, but really started to like him more in his more adult rules: Todome no Kisu and Suki na Hito ga Iru Koto. I basically have fallen for his crooked smile more than anything. LOL
One movie I liked and have watched twice actually is L♥DK https://kisskh.at/7320-ldk - a cohabitation scenario while the 2 are in high school. I guess i am a junkie for the cohab trope as well, so probably why i liked it even more.
There's a few in your article i haven't watched either, so this is helpful and reminds me that i need to get around to watching them. Now I wanna know what his next drama is?
Good idea for an article! i'll be honest, whenever any of the male lead actors that i take a liking to during a drama cry, it kills me. All of the above get me because I like every one of them too. i am also crazy about Woo Do Hwan right now and agree, he is an honorable mention at this juncture being a rookie acting-wise, with some fine-tuning on the crying scenes, and I would feel more proud.
A snowball of crimes that start with two 11-year old children who on the surface, in order to protect each other, continue to cover up the original crime for a lifetime. To watch what this supposed goal twists into is an eyebrow raising rollercoaster ride.
I recommend this drama assuming you can deal with a gritty, dark story. Other adjectives that come to mind when describing elements of this story: emotional, sociopathic, guileless, obsessive, twisted, criminal, surviving, oppressive, remorseful, tragic, abusive, perverted, haunting, exploitive, naive, guileless, cold, unemotional, enduring and surprisingly hopeful at times.
Net net - I was amazed and unsettled by it on many levels. 9/10.

In the meantime, i just updated the synopsis to include a credit to asianwiki. Stand by to see the update. [I didn't submit the original details, but it takes one second to update this stuff]
