Now that Dilraba, Bai Lu and Lu Si have landed, this actress is next to the top, rising like cream does. The new gen, after Yang Mi, Yang Zi and Zhao Li Ying.
I just want ML to express more of his feelings towards FL , I know the situation is complicated, I don't know,…
He knows the “final boss” is her parents and he doesn’t want to ruin her future still. He has learned to be more selfish, the more time he spends with her the fewer reasons as to why he must stay away. He’s very perceptive but he doesn’t understand shared burdens. All his life his mother and sister were very needy, so he’s used to be the man with the world on his shoulders from a young age. FL demands communication however, and he now has to put her depression as another player in his game.
His passions aren’t in expression, he doesn’t talk a lot- he makes things happen. That’s the type you want, actions not words.
It was fantastic, truly, until ep 53-54 sometime, when it felt like the professionals went home - and the 15 year old fanfic writers, and new editors took over, for work experience? WHY Such a finely crafted drama.. Halfway through final ep, the cringe is so bad, watching through my fingers.
This should have ended ep 52-53 sometime.
What are these edits?? What is this ultra cringe script.
It's fine if it was the tone of the whole drama, but this is closer to Minglan, or so it seemed for 53 eps.
The leads are fire, the kissing is some of China's best. this isn't standard formula, which is probably what allowed realistic kissing. Jiajia looks in her late 20s, and she makes ML shy, which is a wonderful formula for steam!
I've never seen our leading man... well as a man before today, he was very youthful to me before. I'm 41, and feel like a creep when ML's come across as teens. Stephen Zhang and also Leo Wu both come across as men now. The rebrandings are working.
There is a time manipulation, couple of episodes in. The first 5 episodes are ‘erased’ by FL. She’s a powerful sorceress, so it’s intentional. The first 5 eps are too direct and hard to connect with for a reason.
😒😒😒😒😒😒ANIMATED???????? Are U JoKing??????? I really hate THe long ballad animated scenes, hated…
War scenes are never fully cgi, but built around cgi. They had set restrictions, limited number of on set personel. They were limited to set amount of horse handlers, and numerous other issues as they started filming in March, during height of pandemic. Dramas that were stating to not film big battle scenes and keep to very strict covid rules, were allowed to start filming. Because of the strict rules March-october, China's industry recovered first and boomed. They only reported in western media in april, that China was tentatively resuming filming, with small sets and limited people.

Yuan Shen, you are the very best of men.
