I feel like the fanatsy element is where it stumbled. I kept waiting for answers and while the romance did wonders , it couldn't hide the plot holes for me. :(( I think they just dragged a few plot lines and left too much for the finale. 12 episodes were enough to convey everything if maybe they just started unpacking things early.

But I did enjoy it. Sometimes I feel if the finale doesn't land well it affects my score and my thoughts 🙈

That said, I love your detailed review and thoughts along the way ♥️👏🏻 i would still pick Only Boo over this for a comfort watch but I have faith in Sea and Kean. They are good actors 🔥

Calling it a thriller might be a bit generous, but it does have a solid layer of mystery keeping things interesting. It’s definitely not horror but there is some mild gore since people do get killed. Think more Alice in Borderland or Squid Game kinda territory rather than full-on scary. And as someone who usually taps out when dramas get too heavy, the fact that I inhaled this in two days says a lot 😅 it's not perfect but even with its flaws, it still lands way better than most recent K-dramas.

Hmmmm I read this somewhere ... Times moves differently in game and irl. So the students did go to a school Trip for a day and then somehow her parents kidnapped them and put them to simulation game. Again, very vague..like where are the teachers... So they will send them back? What happens to Jung Won...

But yeah...it is what it is I guess lol

And they failed to answer such an important question, as to why this was the last timeline..lol I think I re-watched a few episodes to see if I missed anything but no they didn't mention it...

I still enjoyed atleast 70% of the drama while it was airing and the second couple were adorable 🥰 and I was glad they got almost equal footing here and were just not decorated extracts.

I did not! Like Da Beom being mafia and psycho was a good twist but few of his actions were didn't make sense at the end. And the biggest problem I had with the plot was Park Se Eun's story and her parents being the game lords. Like I get why they would do that but the reveal was so quick and not backed- either logically or emotionally. Alot of room was left for us viewers to just assume and I didn't like that. And the whole Park Se Eun's ghost was poor idea with no pay off. They could have handled the last 3-4 episodes so much better but I still gave it a 8 because I inhaled it in 2 days lmao. It was weirdly addicting but I get why you will give it a low score too!

Healing and self-discovery were the heart of the story, but the bond of love and family was what truly gave it a pulse. >>> Definitely. I liked how everyone had their own little backstory and past which made so much sense as to why and how they are in the present! Just not leads, even the supporting cast. I loved the story of both the mothers and their friendship was adorable too.

I am so glad you loved it! I rated it 8.5 because I wanted more of Mirae's side of the story and of course the episode length but that's almost every kdrama now. *Sigh*
