The bad guy has a mask that allows to disguise as anyone, i.e. how power gang chief was impersonated.

Nice, finally more of R is getting revealed, like ML new sidekick him speaking English randomly, tang bro & sis will be causing some headache, R is making bigger trap.
Betrayals in this drama done by characters are disgusting, the best part was some of this was handled faster, so time was not wasted. Hope things happen faster & get resolved.

That technique does it allow stealing other's internal energy, so many things happening now.

If it's good after some time, rating will increase.

My fictional spider sense is tingling whenever the second brother appears & talks, either it's bad acting or the character is like that, something is wrong with second brother. Even when elder bro does all this crazy things, somehow the second bro looks suspicious.

It's great to find positive things from all that situations, respect.

I would say binge-watch after drama finish airing, can't say it's very bad, it has good parts & parts that focus heavily on tropes etc.

Best thing, read comments after watching all episodes, because things like that can happen.

She doesn't care if she did wouldn't have talked to her when her son was standing there, ML took her child away so he wouldn't hear them talk, if she did that what is stopping her now.

She might have inferiority complex, don't value herself, plus her mother-in-law might have manipulated her.

It starts at episode 18, 15-17 is not bad. Depends on viewer, find this one entertaining can watch it else wait till it finish airing and binge, Older dramas are even more frustrating but now dramas have few parts good few frustrating so depends on viewer.

Best thing to do is wait till show ends, maybe binge-watching will be less frustrating since one can skip parts like elder bro abusing younger bro etc.

Episode 15 was done well so suddenly felt this time it will be different 16 was ok, 17 not bad then came 18 it went back to the same old Vicious angst Circle, so now I am sure this drama will be few episodes or scenes great then back to angst hell.
I don't expect logic from any drama but at least maintain the logic of the drama world the writer creates like if story says a person can't use martial arts they can't, if a person is smart they are smart no matter the circumstances, one moment ML is cool next he becomes useless despite being a person who can handle any circumstances in a better way, then his elder brother one sec he is kind next he hates his brother, it was him who didn't trust his brother & caused all this then when his brother says the guy who was his friend is the one that harmed their parents elder bro does the same wuxia style bull, looks like after all this the brother will end up talking about chivalry how cool it is you can hurt your brother don't trust him & say and do anything, ML when it comes to his elder bother ML suffers from the same mentality of abuse victim who returns to their abuser yes they might have the reasons for going back still that just hurts them & people around them, this is not love or chivalry in any way it's just plain abuse.
Also, another issue when his brother abuse ML, his friends potential lovers act weird like they pause lets us think what we can do then resume, In this drama only people who are doing things better & logically are the bad guys from the start to episode 18 their actions make more sense than ML & other good guys.
Even if this is a drama, action of some characters, are really weird in the sense they are acting like they are in Thai slap/kiss genre doing strange things no normal human will do, like the second bro hitting younger bro's head in episode 18 which is very weird, he can be angry he can show it in some other way instead of this weird way, reminded me of a Thai slap/kiss genre drama where FL says if ML forces himself on her, she is done with him despite being in love with him, he does it anyway because he thinks FL killed his sister when story ends they are together despite her telling him they are over if he does that, same style for this drama when it comes to brotherly love & chivalry they will be back together after doing all this.

Yes I understand, I was sort of let down my first drama of Cheng Yi was Love and Redemption watched it in IQIYI same with Mysterious Lotus Casebook, this drama I expected something different from the usual looks like will have to wait till drama ends airing & binge & skip to finish the show.
Love in Pavilion even with a very sad ending, was better to watch in the sense the story didn't focus too much on the frustrating parts & drag the story, many were disappointed with how the last few episodes became very sad but even then I had no issues finishing the drama despite knowing how it all will end, didn't skip as well, even the worst guy in the story who causes FL more suffering gets away even then it was not bad.
ChengYi's character will be the son of Love in Pavilion FL character in Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Sword and Beloved, I am sure even that drama will be better than this one even with frustrating elements.

I am sure it will be angst fest, if he gets token he will be OP then will this story work by the time he gets token it will be episode 40 by the looks of it even if it gets token he will be hit by another angst scenario.

Love & Redemption was at least xianxia plus it was better than most xianxia around that time, hardcore fans will love it i.e. this drama, main reason how bad dramas get by rope in a popular star to get high ratings even if drama offers nothing new.
What makes me very disappointed is how the story goes, one moment you are waiting to see how protag use his wit to solve the crisis but what you get is protag being out of his wit & getting bullied by bad guys, he can fight he is smart but gets trapped every time can't handle the situation where his elder brother don't trust him he asks his friends to steal the token is he stupid doesn't he know once his elder bro catches on he will distrust him more, his friends were like lets just casually roam & let elder brother catch us on the act then protag will be trapped, after all this once their parents die etc. how will this siblings act, I am sure our protag who is saint will be nice to them & talk about chivalry, this situation where their parents is trapped & getting help is cliché heavy, protag knows his parents fate as per story is death he should be trying hard to find solutions, is he stupid didn't he know once sword kings identity was revealed he will do everything to stop him, The best dialogue said by protag "Reality is annoying enough so do I still have to keep suffering in a novel", is what I want to tell to the writer of this novel & drama.
I am ok with watching sad films & drama where characters suffer many tragedies etc. but not a fan of manufactured angst just to prove protag is chivalrous at least for this drama, situation faced by him & how he handles that is just to create angst, will the remaining episodes be like this he gets one skill next scene filled with angst he defeats a boss next scene angst till end, will this be an angst filled drama trapped in a vicious angst circle.

I understand the point made & was not offended, but most c dramas are like that sadly, best xianxia I would say would be Love between fairy & devil, reason I said the best story don't use similar tropes that plague xianxia.
Donghua is the only place to watch better stories plus no censoring that are superior when it comes to supernatural, fantasy etc, there are so many great donghuas that are currently airing this year two of them story Female centric & cultivation related. Veiled Dreams – Eclipse of Illusion, Xiao Xian Zhi Yao – Little Fairy Yao.
Interesting Donghuas with cultivation, Gods etc,
Over the divine realms, Wo De Shixiong Tai Qiang Le, Shixiong A Shixiong – Big Brother (might get drama adaption felt like I saw the trailer somewhere), Zhe Tian – Shrouding the Heavens, Zi Chuan – Purple River (Infinite times better than c drama version), Spy x Sect – My Sectarian Members Are Spies.
My current favourites would be Mushen Ji – Tales of Herding Gods, Over the divine realms drama version of this might be great story is different from most xianxia etc.

When a drama is based on a novel, there might be some changes or things might get lost in translation, check the donghua version of Love between fairy, I was surprised to find it's different from drama version but as a xianxia drama it's really done well, most of the drama based on the authors novel are done well not just Love between fairy & devil.
I saw someone mention this FL is lazy she wants an easy life, but she is not stupid plus even when she forgets she never forgets her life from her original timeline so even with amnesia her personality never changes, at least this drama had fewer episodes. I agree many of these dramas are filled with clichés only little manage to break free.
Another issue is some novel's story have same scenarios, I saw someone mention that a c drama story was same as an old drama but when I checked about the novel I found what they said is copy came first before the novel version of popular c drama came out.
Check donghuas they have superior stories & chances of censoring low.
Swords of Legends drama have done justice to the game Gujian, the drama even covers a part which player learns visiting a town & talking to npcs. There is a scene in the drama where protag meets a dragon in the game, it's the same, no change. Check this drama, you might like it, story is different from other cultivation dramas etc.

Ml is the prince, he is so talented he can easily earn money, he is the best strategist as well, Fl is a general & she can also earn money. I think it's like the start of their journey, both of them should have already died, so they are enjoying life since they are alive.
