This drama, I didn't like how it ended after it started so great, lead can see ghosts if I remember correctly, FL is a shaman & her mother I believe (saw it when it aired) had a tiger spirit, ML could see the detective ghost who had been fighting the antagonist I believe at first, with all this the antagonist beat them all & was close to succeeding in his plans, that was a surprise, why I didn't like the ending is not because I didn't like the show but rather I was enjoying it & everything ended like that, except for one minor character every other important characters in the story were killed by him, that was a shocker, I was like they looked powerful & could beat the bad guy, but they couldn't, the way antagonist was winning in his action was not frustrating like when they lose intentionally for story purpose, never seen an antagonist winning like this without plot armour, he was close to destroying the world.

Sweet home should have ended after season 1, only the last episode of the webtoon was free when I checked it had better ending with characters that were not in the show, same for squid game the success ruined the story.

Yes, season 2 was a joke in the sense, events of season 1 were so traumatic ML decided to stop the game etc, but writers tries to be realistic David can't beat a Goliath, the ending is worse than stories where protags are stabbed or shot by random people who appeared just for a sec there reason for killing is protag either said something made them angry or looked at them in a way they don't like scenario, the best way was protag from season1 end his run after victory & story carry with new protags etc, every time a drama or film starts great it will end the story the worst way.

It's no big deal, few other popular K actors were accused of the same thing.

She is talented, but some of her dramas are not great & it's not her if any other talented actress replace her in such dramas the result will be still the same or even worse, there are so many great xianxia novels/donghuas, but dramas are made on novels that are old & have maximum frustrating elements, violence against women, toxicity etc. Rarely sometimes they end up making a drama based on great donghua/novel they will edit all the best parts & make the show cringe.
I recently saw a c drama trailer & I think it's based on a donghua I love so much about a guy from earth who became immortal & face a big calamity & gets to time travel or transmigrate back to when he was a disciple, it has big fights, good comedy etc I heard donghua was slightly different from novel & still it was fun to watch but can drama version do justice to such story, with 40 episode limit it will be hard to tell the complete story without editing & removing a lot.
I surprisingly found out after playing the game Gujian that the drama version of this game sword of legends did justice to game story by following the story of the game & even adding small story arc in the drama from the game player find out after talking to npcs while visiting different towns in the game was shocked, when I watched the drama three years ago I thought drama version might have changed story ruined it but after finishing the game completely last month found out I was wrong this might be rare Chinese drama that did justice to the original source.

That's good, not interested in spin-offs & side stories of Lost Tomb & Candle in the tomb series, both these stories are good but not happy with the drama versions etc that make it more confusing with how story is told one drama we see them going to find uncle next drama you see 40-year-old protag being second lead & new random guy becoming the lead (Tomb of the Sea).
I know the series was made by different people & have different actors, so it made more confusing to understand story, lost the flow in enjoying such a fun series.

I was surprised to find out this was related to the Lost Tomb series, watching the series was confusing in the sense stories from different timelines comes out randomly, only one character Zhang Ri Shan was same in different Lost Tomb series, Zhang Qi Ling has a long life span at least if that character was same would have been nice.
I had high expectation for this drama but when I found out it was part of the Lost Tomb series all that excitement was drained.

Still better than 60 episode xianxia that frustrates viewers so much that after the story ends they might catch some uncurable disease scenario.

Slow Burn

The drama was good for me, for viewers who enjoy supernatural costume dramas will enjoy it, but those expecting intimate scenes & cute moments will be disappointed, I think the leads did a good job even if they don't give an Oscar worthy performance the show is very enjoyable as it is, if one check the tags of this drama one of them shows slow burn romance.
In most of the costume dramas, there is no happy endings, princess agents was hit with plagiarism allegations, it had no happy endings, it's funny c dramas that most viewers say is the best when I watch is filled with max frustrating elements & heavy tropes & clichés & most still love it, story of Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils is more heart-wrenching & after finishing it I was like what's the point of protag being the most powerful martial artist at the end his fate is like that.
Sometimes happy endings can ruin the story completely, there are stories that present sad endings even better, I think this one tried it's best to present that ending with the last two episodes.

I have seen similar ending for other dramas where they always meet the person from their timeline at the end, but issue there is the person they loved is one from another era but how does the ending of lover meeting another version of the person they loved solve anything, it's like hard to get the original so be happy with the copy/duplicate.

Simple after returning to past he was killed & the one who meets her now is the one from that timeline

At least this is not a c drama, so don't have to worry about story getting ruined due to censoring etc, one costume c drama I enjoyed watching, the last episode had scenes that felt got censored which ruined the final battle it was like after the battle started someone skipped the fight scenes & reached the end.

This is one K drama I would prefer ML fall for SFL, don't know why they have to pair ML with FL in this one, I have no issue with FL but feel SFL is best for ML character since she is there in both eras & consider him friend, even with fewer scenes their interactions is better than lead interactions who have more scenes, sometimes dramas don't pair leads even if viewers want it but pairs them when there is no need. I like the Mae Chang character, it would have been nice if that character was the FL.

His character is like that there are people like that who trust everyone & lose everything & still don't give up doing the same thing.

He can act, he was an idol as well, he has done cameo roles in J drama/film, was part of Hollywood films, maybe his character is not perfect but his acting is good.

Sadly, drug related cases are the worst crime for the country they can be punished even if they use this in other countries etc I think, compared to that other crimes one consider are bigger are not big deal there like rape, violence against women, hidden cam related crimes etc.

Sad part is when I heard that this movie was going to release there was an article in which I read the director and the actor they distance themselves from Yoo Ah In & the way they talked about him was like he was a sinner they even mentioned that he said he deserves death for the drug scandal etc, other idols & actors who did worse like dating a minor ruining their life, molesting female costars etc or even rape etc don't even consider themselves as sinners or say they deserve death due to their actions.

I was never a fan of Yoo Ah In before the scandal hit, but after this scandal hit & how he was treated, I feel like it was very extreme, during court proceeding he was attacked will KSH be treated like that if he ever has a court proceeding like this.

Maybe for a new season, or they thought they could tell the story better in less episodes.
