In my culture generally. However, the caveat is, you have to know you like each other. Unwanted attractions from someone you don’t like or have any interest in is indeed stalking.
I adore this series. Looks like our Director has found that one person who manages to bring a smile to his face and subsequently found his flirt game. I'm so here for this. Bring it on.
Wow wow wow wow 😂This is the height of it all😂Prapai is a huge red flag for real. A very unhealthy one.I…
In my culture we wouldn’t view this as stalking. Simply a man madly in love with another man wanting to get him back. In fact, I’d find it hot and sexy if a man I liked was this persistent with me. #JustSayin’
Gosh, the filming of this drama is simply stunning. I was mesmerised when Mitsuru was standing on the beach - so beautiful and by his inner dialogue. Damn his voice is lovely. This episode gave us raw, poignant (the bottle of water scene) and finally feelings reciprocated. Lovely.
So hear you and very intuitive. Thank you. Yes, in the book it was indeed not a piece of paper but a letter, but still worked so well here. Very insightful and thank you for the heads up into making this a spoiler. Done:-)
Do you know what I really like about this series. MAME has ensured it's going absolutely to the letter of her book. She's got that much confidence in her writing and the fact she can produce a drama which people will deliberate and talk about, irrespective of whether we like it or not, she is a storyteller and she knows how to write and unashamedly engage her audience. Huge respect I say.
I adored this episode. Sky eventually realising and finally having the courage to commit to his true feelings of love for Prapai in the condo and to seemingly have it thrown back in his face whilst witnessing Prapai at the party. Oh how my heart went out to him. "It's happening again." I just imagined how I'd feel. "Taken for a mug once again". "Will I ever learn?" "Am I always going to be used as a sex toy?" "Am I not worthy of love?" "What is it about me?"
However, the letter, oh the letter, brought everything to light. In the book, Prapai waits in the apartment for days, knowing Sky has to come back and finds the letter. I especially loved how Prapai read the letter to Sky, just like in the book. Whilst Sky in this episode reaches out for the letter, because his heart and love for Prapai is finally laid bare. There's nowhere to hide and Prapai cleverly and indeed intuitively goads him into unleashing his true feelings for him. So lovely. So heartfelt. Such knowing about Sky's personality. Such love. Loved it.
PS: What's with those voice overs on the phone calls? Sounds so unnatural, doesn't even sound like their voices, just that there is a random actor reading a script. Why do they do this, I find it so jarring to the narrative?!
What I truly loved about this drama was the writing. It was so on point and captivating - especially for Ji Ho Joon's character. We absolutely understood his personality from the outset. Intelligent, quirky, rational, direct, playful, business savvy and competitive. However, we also got to see that side that just wanted some affection and indeed love. Can't deny our leads also had lovely chemistry.
I adored that opening conversation in the park in EP 7 between Ji Ho Joon and Seo Jae Yoon, when Ji Ho Joon asked him not to run and ended up instead confessing his feelings for him - lovely narrative. If I'm honest, I wanted the rest of this episode and EP 8 to follow suit - so we could see some happy times of them simply being together and showing their love, but we got angst. But hey, this is the world of South Korean dramas and it would seem that they still have a long way to go when it comes to truly accepting and embracing gay culture. However, at least they're on the right path. It's an 8/10 for me, but I actually think they ruined the last 2-episodes.
Gosh! This is just seriously cringeworthy viewing, with every trope known to man. Ep 6 was painful viewing and I don't think you can completely blame the dreadful subs.
