Now this looks good. Straight in there, no faffing around with a boring opening episode. Quirky, adult theme with sexual feelings and horniness discussed like most adult do. Sweet. Like it and especially liking Gu Mu Yeong's character. He's going to be such a minx to nail his man. Excellent first episode.
I find this drama a truly delightful watch. Love how our three main leads have such very different personalities - works well as a narrative. However, at times I find the flow a bit off, by way of cutting into new scenes sharply and find myself wondering what's happening now - where are we? Oh right! However, overall, such a very satisfying and impressive watch.
I personally can't wait for Cha Jung Woo to find his voice - it's in there. Something tells me he's going to be very honest and direct with his thoughts and feelings. Those lines are going to be awesome and I'm here for it. I think we'll all agree Kim Jung Hyun is a possessive manipulator whose about to lose control of his little puppy as he re-enters stardom with Han Tae Young having his back.
Episode 7 was so very sweet with such beautiful cinematography. BUT... I would had loved it more without the slow…
Your third paragraph is really sad to read in this day and age. I'm actually stunned and find myself surprised, especially when you consider actors like Perth Stewart who played Ken in Kinnporsche who is half-Thai and half-Australian.
Anyway, for me, I thought the first 5 episodes of this drama were not up to much by way of storytelling and advancement in the narrative. However, really enjoyed episodes 6 and 7, primarily for the relationship between our two leads - the drama really seemed to redeem itself.
I dropped this drama at EP 32. Just couldn’t get past the FL’s hideous, lack of emotional intelligence and non-existent chemistry with the ML. No shows of affection or any kind of intimacy. Just weird, off putting viewing.
What did I just watch? It felt like three separate dramas in one episode. Mum. Dad and hubby and then all of a sudden Nhai appears and then mums back on the scene. What was that? Where was the flow of the narrative, plus did I hear that whole mum scenario happened 5-year ago. #Confused.com.
I have a feeling we're going to be going around in circles for a while yet with our MLs. #Sigh. Move forward already! Have to say RJ is an excellent actor and a joy to watch on screen - so wise for his age.
Is Janice Wu better at romcoms? Because she seems quite stiff here in an action thriller when playing a more mature…
To be honest, I really don't know. I haven’t watched her in anything else. There's no doubt in my mind she can act, I just really didn't like her character at all in this drama, to the point where I've got to EP 33 and have no interest in seeing it to its finale, which is so unlike me.
For me, this was the best episode to-date. Storyline was nice around how much Yai misses his mum and the scene in the restaurant with Mangkorn’s mum - also liked their backstory as kids.
I've absolutely adored this series - a breath of fresh air. Rain and Phayu's story was more enjoyable for me, not only in terms of their amazing chemistry, but also in their acting as two people truly in love. As much as I enjoyed Sky and Prapai's story line for its depth and rawness, I just didn't feel their chemistry in the acting. Too many episodes felt like they were simply acting out their lines.
I really didn't enjoy the final episode - yes, I really felt the emotions throughout the whole episode of Sky's trauma, but I just didn't feel that Peat and Fort delivered it well. Again, I just felt they were acting their lines. When Sky was telling Prapai his story, Fort's face was just expressionless, calm, almost ethereal, whilst stroking Peat's neck. If your boyfriend had just told you he'd be abused and gang raped, at the very least you'd be raging to kill the abusers and literally in floods of tears at the injustice. It was just so weird and then they ended up smiling and laughing. WTAF!
Also in the condo, why didn't Skye ask Prapai why did you give them the key card? Why did you throw me away to my ex? However, I did absolutely love when Prapai said he'd cry for Sky, that really touched me.
I felt the writing especially and acting of this episode was just bad. However, overall, I loved this drama.
Yeah, I think that's why I'm missing any real chemistry between the leads. ML is fully on board and FL is just…
Yes, agree, she definitely has evolved and grown up. I especially liked how she handled the mother. I just can’t get my head around how much screen time she has as opposed to our leads.
I'm hoping she changes after she forgives her dad......we'll see.....But yeah, her EQ is not comparable to her…
#Snigger. Please do protest to the Director on behalf of us all 🤣. I think irrespective of whether she’s married, she’s an actress who is contracted to deliver a role which features at least 60% romance, so she should be 100% committed and invested.
I'm hoping she changes after she forgives her dad......we'll see.....But yeah, her EQ is not comparable to her…
Yeah, I'm hoping so too. However, 30 episodes in and she remains so unlikable, yet has this whole underlying nature of wanting to help and does indeed care about others. It's also the first drama I've seen Luo Yun Xi in where he has very little chemistry with his FL or indeed any show of intimacy, which I find strange viewing, as he has access to her condo, yet they don't show them sleeping in the same bed together, kissing or anything - their relationship feels so off and unnatural in this drama.
Yeah, I think that's why I'm missing any real chemistry between the leads. ML is fully on board and FL is just…
OMG! Ding Dong has to win the gold award for the most unnecessary, unlikable character ever watched or indeed needed in a Chinese drama. Plus silver award for the character most fast forwarded in a Chinese drama. Oh, you must watch him in Love is Sweet, that's a great drama and he has incredible chemistry with the female lead and he's hilarious in it. Yeah, I really like couple 3, both their story and chemistry.

This is his first female lead where I just don’t feel any chemistry. And yes, you’re right, kindness and self awareness are indeed lacking. Her character for me, just makes the drama seriously off. Now, her nurse friend I absolutely adore, so wise, so smart - yet up to 30 episodes damn Miss Resting Bitch-face has learnt absolutely nothing from her wise words.
I couldn’t agree more with you. I honestly thought this combo was gonna be great but all her expression was…
Aw, thank you so much for responding. 🙏🏿So glad a fellow commentator feels my same pain. She’s just so deplorable. There’s absolutely nothing to like about her. I too thought the combination would be great as I adore Luo Yun Xi as an actor.
Oh, that’s her cousin, not sister. Another annoying, irrelevant 2nd lead, with more screen time than the actual leads, with the most horrendous hair style ever known to man (yes I said it, but you all we’re thinking it!)
Now at EP 30, I so need to rant. Damn, Zhan Yan pisses me off so fucking much! At the beginning and in earlier episodes, I so loved her strength and conviction as a woman in a Chinese drama. Let's be honest, submissive, needy, childish, stupid, does tend to be the trend for Chinese women in dramas, so I loved her strength and conviction.
However, Her resting bitch face could seriously turn stone to a whole new level of stone. She has absolutely zero emotional intelligence or even 1% of empathy in her bones for human beings, something you would imagine a doctor needs to have. Does she even know how to love? Her character is so damn cold, selfish, narcissistic and totally unlovable. She honestly hasn't got a forgiving bone in her body and is allegedly an intelligent woman. Grrrr! She makes me so angry. What man would honestly tolerate a woman like this? When she smiles, I feel like I'm in a horror movie and utterly scared, because it feels so damn unnatural and freaks me the fuck out thinking she's coming to kill the person she's smiling at!
OK! Breath. Thank you for allowing me to get this off my chest. I feel oh so much better now. Over and out.
