Oh well! It started off beautifully. Lovely idea for a narrative. Strong opening episodes and especially delivery from Park Young Woon, his screen presence in those first few episodes was mesmerising. And then it dissolved, like so many other South Korean BL dramas this year into an utter shit show once the two leads got together, with zero chemistry and an obvious hatred at the thought of actually having to kiss one another. Oh! My Assistant - you instantly spring to mind and indeed Cherry Blossom After Winter, Kissable Lips and Love Class.
I'm not even going to comment on the whole Dennis saga, because I think the lack of storytelling as to his backstory has already been covered here.
Gosh South Korea, I really can't believe you gave us such delights as Semantic Error and Blueming, because all you're telling me with these travesties is that you're seriously homophobic and view the BL industry as a genre simply to cash in on! Such a shame. It's a 3 from me and no I definitely won't be re-watching.
There was a drama that absolutely escapes me now that had someone fantasing about morning sex. Also pretty sure…
Oh, I adore Long Time No See - it's in my top 10 of BL dramas. Then again, it is hard to fault anything from Strongberry. Anyway, good to know it would appear to happen. Thanks for this.
lol "extreme sexual content" ..... I clearly have a different definition of extreme than whomever added that tag.
Me and you both #Snigger and I've just finished watching all 6 episodes. Extreme sexual content to me is Pornographer: Indigo Mood, Pornographer, Dangerous Drugs of Sex and the Shortest Distance is Round (Blanc) and (Noir) series. The latter two being seriously extreme. This is definitely just sexual content.
Damn this is good. Damn this is very good. I've binged all 6 episodes today and find it a breath of fresh air and especially as coming from South Korea. The narrative is really refreshing. Our two female leads, truly come across as best friends who have one another's backs and the chemistry amongst the couples is off the charts... and don't even get me started on those kisses. Could they perhaps do a masterclass in kissing for the majority of the BL world actors?
I really like the sex scenes. I think the sex coach did an excellent job and the scenes are beautifully filmed, directed and shot. Huge respect to our naked actors and actresses - that can't be easy shooting, but they pull it off brilliantly.
What I do find an absolute crying shame from their podcast, is that it would appear a lot of South Korean women don't feel they should be concerned about their own sexual yearnings and the desire to orgasm. Surely, they don't still think it's all about pleasing a man? This can't be so in this day and age. Also, unless you're asexual, cupiosexual or lithsexual, which I totally get and have huge respect for, who doesn't masturbate - be it female or male? Blue balls springs to mind!
Have to say I found the ex boyfriend a complete Neanderthal, but Son Hee Jae, was absolutely intrinsic to his lack of performance in bed by faking her orgasms for 5-years and lying to him that she enjoyed it. How was the poor man to know he was a shit shag? We all know the best relationships are based on trust and communication and it was very apparent they never learned this both outside and inside the bedroom.
One thing I have to ask, do Asian cultures only have sex at night? To this day, I've rarely seen an Asian drama were a couple, straight or gay have morning sex and I can honestly say, I've never seen it happen in the afternoon. Feels strangely odd.
Anyway, I'm really enjoying this and can't wait for the final two episodes. If anything it's too short!
I asked myself last week why I was just not bonding with this drama, as the History series is in my top list of all time faves, apart from 1. Then, I remember watching EP1 of History 4 and truly despising it - couldn't understand this came from the same production house. I then came to love it from perhaps EP 3. I think this one is the same.
This latest episode felt more like the History series of old. The narrative and couples are starting to make sense to my brain, and especially now we understand they have a backstory. Up until now, the flow/narrative felt off, messy, disjointed, plus confusing and Tai Che Ni's character annoyed me with the overacting and slapstick. He seems to have settled down now and comes across as quite wise for someone so young - obviously a prerequisite of being brought up by his lovely grandma.
This is the first episode where I've liked and understood the dynamics of the first couple and I'm starting to see and feel their chemistry. However, I like the 2nd couple more - and no, I really didn't find Liang Wen Hsen creepy from the first episode - just a man following his heart to gain and have the attention of his true love. Apart from the tropes, I find their coupling delightful and I could look at Anson Chen's smile forever - even if I had to creep on it secretly! #JustSayin'. Sean Chang is also a stunningly beautiful man. That hairstyle seriously suits his character and looks.
I feel like we're moving forward now into the storytelling and coupling and I remain here for it.
Off to re-watch History 3: Trapped for the umpteenth time!
The sex scene in your head is probably an improvement on the web toon 🤣
I can just imagine the sniggering, I would be too, but perhaps wouldn't have even gone there - as if they're too embarrassed to write about the entire sexual act and experience, I simply can't go there, as I find it too childish for my brain.

Hahaha! Oh goodness. Definitely not one for me. However, I can soooo see Seung Hyun blushing and the 'trembling' I'm not ready, please be gentle with me! #Snigger. Yep, I'm all down for mutual orgasms.
I adore this drama - it just leaves you with all the right feels. Cute. Shy. The first throws of love and especially from a virgins perspective. I even like the pacing, as it's clear from this episode that Kim Jong Chan is quite experienced, so would rightfully take the lead. Just wish Korean BLs would give us a little more sometimes by way of showcasing the sexual experience, and especially as this was Woo Seung Hyun's first time, so it would have been great to see how Kim Jong Chan made him feel relaxed and excited once in the bedroom, ready to do the deed! The flow of the narrative from being in the lounge, to waking up in the morning, felt so jarring and unnatural - they really could and should have given us more. #JustSayin'
Looking forward to next week. Wonder what the pen signified, was it the initials of him and a former lover?
Exactly what I was thinking the whole time! Like really? Even after an assasination, a family member not so subtly…
Plus, considering how much of the drama revolves around this narrative and the heightened danger to the family - it's just so ridiculous, it's not even funny. I find it insults our intelligence in its laziness.
That is my biggest qualm about the show as well! Where are the bloody bodyguards at? After the way Tanya’s husband…
Yes agree. Think in the next episode with them both alone, we'll start to see more of his true sense once he's fully able to relax and therefore 100% trust Palm.
The whole bodyguard narrative of this storyline is what brings this drama down. It's just so dumb and utterly unbelievable. Are you telling me a conglomerate, one of the richest families in Thailand and therefore billionaires, wouldn't have:
1) Electric security fencing and gates, manned 24/7. 2) A whole damn army of bodyguards - the best to be found in Thailand, Presidential level. 3) Beyond heightened security considering their Chairman was recently assassinated. 4. Would never use one piss poor butler/driver/bodyguard, come dogs body of a father slave and a teenage boy to protect such a high level family?
It is just ridiculous and such bloody lazy writing. Surely, they could have stretched the budget to pay for extras to play bodyguards? This side of the plot just spanks of Oh! My Sunshine Night in the stupidity department.
Although, I like the way the romance is developing between Palm and Nuengdiao, I find it quite hard viewing to see how long it took Nuengdiao to apologise to Palm - after all, the man did take an absolute kicking on his behalf and openly humiliated him, you'd think it would be the first thing he said to him. The sense of entitlement with Nuengdiao at the time made me want to slap his face! Looking forward especially to his character development.
Your comment is beautifully written. I thought I am the only one who enjoyed the drama after reading the comments
Thank you so much. 🙏🏿It was always going to be a controversial subject matter. However, I thought it was extremely well told and narrated - an enthralling watch.
