Agree with it all. I think Vincent isn't really the enemy & instead is setting the old man up.
The thing that was clear to me was that Vincent didn’t commit to anything the Board member was suggesting. He simply listened. He’s extremely shrewd that way. What did piss me off and again I found childish in the writing, is that Lin Huai En didn’t have his man’s back. That’s what your instinct instantly tells you to do when in love. Also, Vincent asked him to trust him and he didn’t.
the last 5 minutes of the episode was so confusing to me.. him being jealous over his own friend... and I'm so…
I sort of got the jealousy, as they’d literally started dating and he was looking forward to helping him and being constantly by his side and his friend ends up performing this role. Childish, but I get it.
I think he got the job simply because what the Chairman wants the Chairman gets!
Gosh, this latest episode!? Why do I feel like I’m just not watching a History series? History 2-4, the chemistry between our leads was on fire, you could literally feel the heat, sexual tension and desire. This just feels slightly slapstick, childish and nonsensical, whilst the previous Histories, always delivered a mature, reasoned narrative. The characters personalities and choices, always made sense to my brain in terms of their reactions to events and situations. The writing and overacting of Tai Che Ni in particular I find incredibly jarring.
The whole Vincent is out to side with the enemy storyline, is just so unbelievable, (highest sales for years) and goes utterly against his character - why go there?
Great to see a line up of talented actors. The first episode piqued my interest to watch further. However, have Earth and Mix got written into their contracts that whenever they act together they’ll keep kissing to an absolute minimum? They never really kiss in their dramas. Just felt weird to show a sex scene with no kiss. Also, does Mix have a thing about removing his shirt?
What a delightful first episode. I’m so glad they’re back. Their dynamics, chemistry and love for one another is truly what only a Japanese Scriptwriter and Director could deliver and that’s because it’s 100% true to their cultural way of writing and directing. I watched their interactions completely mesmerised and can’t wait for EP 2. Wonderful viewing.
This post 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. He really is quite unique. Makes me laugh a lot and for all the wrong…
Honestly, he just makes me laugh. Where does all that anger come from? He must be exhausted by it. I’m more than happy to take him on because I’m confident what I post is factual. He posted 2-days ago on one of my comments here and I replied. He never replied. Result I say! 😀🤣😝
Is that acting? I think he'd rathere be back in drag.
Hilarious! 🤣🤣I just see him as the most beautiful bunny (he is stunningly gorgeous) caught in the headlights. His acting actually makes me itch! I thought he'd toned it down in the last 2-episodes, but low and behold, it appeared again.
He's not a virgin anymore. Supposedly they did the nasty about episode 3. But it didn't seem like it because they…
Greetings. Oh yes, I know he wasn't a virgin after the very first visit to Kim Jong Chan's house. What I meant was he entered the relationship as a virgin at 27.
I'm so with you on your comments. On one of my earlier posts about the sex scene, I actually said something along the lines of, "typical South Korea wanting to cash in on the gay genre, but still refusing to show two adult men showing any kinds of intimacy - seems to me they enjoy the lucrative revenue stream, but remain homophobic." And, this is what I truly believe. It frustrates me to hell. Look at the sex scene, they're in the lounge, Woo Seung Hyun, suggests getting a shower and then it cuts to him waking up in the morning! WTAF. I actually commented, surely the writer could have shown us something along the lines of Kim Jong Chan taking him to bed, kissing him, gently stroking him, talking to him to alleviate his fears of losing his virginity, but in typical SK stylie, it cuts to the morning! A travesty in my mind. Plus, what was that last 2-minutes? Really? I love you... I love you too and the child jumps around, while daddy tells him to stop jumping. I actually said out loud, what the actual fuck is this, what gay or indeed straight man would react this way.
Agree, the show is so unrealistic, and especially considering the mature ages of our leads. I honestly hear your frustration, because I've said the same thing time and time again on posts about SK BL dramas. However, I knew from the initial 'sexless sex' scene, this drama was going down this route, so decided to focus my comments on what I actually enjoyed which was primarily the writing of Kim Jong Chan's direct personality.
As I said above, in my mind, they are seriously homophobic and sadly unashamedly so - it really is all about cashing in on the genre.
For the last 2-weeks my brain said, finally, the story is beginning to make sense. Our leads are progressing, chemistry building, and then we digress this week into this boring, filler episode of absolute nothingness and once again over acting from Tai Che Ni. #Sigh #DespairWithThisWriting
You made an extremely precise and deep analysis of the show and I can't agree more with you. You pictured Jong…
Thank you 🙏🏿. I just really felt where the writer was going with the personalities of our leads, so believable, real and indeed touching. The end definitely demanded a beautiful kiss and not daddy saying to a child to stop jumping around 🤣. Yes, I still really liked it and will watch the movie on Viki when it’s all stitched together.
I've really enjoyed this drama, but more so for the lovely writing of Kim Jong Chan's character. Loved how direct they made his narrative, to the point where I totally understood his character, which is sometimes difficult to determine in a BL. He always told it how it was. He was rational and brutally direct when they came into conflict and also about his personality and feelings. I don't see how anyone could see him as anything less than extremely mature.
He also nurtured Woo Seung Hyun, not only in his career, but also throughout their relationship. I think some forgot that Woo Seung Hyun is after all, a 27 year old virgin, dating his sexy, handsome badass boss, who's had prior sexual experiences, plus happened to date the only crush of his life. I understand how that can be scary and indeed intimidating, so forgave him at times when I knew he became overwhelmed and childish.
However, for me, the final episode left me a bit flat. Yes, great, they planned to work together - gave me all the feels, but that final 2-minutes on the bridge was crying out for a kiss. Made me think of Old Fashioned Cupcake. #JustSayin'
