This was just okay. Nothing really memorable, so I'll never re-watch. But definitely not the worst I've seen across 2022-23. Teams character was just too childish for me. I just never bought into Win as a strong, rich, intelligent character buying into a 'man child' like Team. The whole Hin, Hin, Hin, thing did my head in as much as the P'Dean, P'Dean P'Dean did in 'Until We Meet Again.' These are grown ass men after all. Also, that sex scene with Tul and Wan was total cringe as zero chemistry and I have to admit the whole sniff kissing does indeed slightly fuck with my head. Can't imagine anything about such an act being anywhere near horny, let alone sexy and a turn on.
What is it with Asian dramas and the whole slip and catch scenario? Can't writers think of another way to get two people into one another's arms? Hilarious. Anyway, this is getting better, finally the storytelling is starting to make sense, so its peaked my interest more. Looking forward to the next episode when it would appear the misunderstanding between our two leads gets sorted. Then we can progress into the love zone.
This is progressing nicely and the last 2-episodes make more sense. The narrative and natural relationship developments of our leads is working for me. However, "Wynn, Wynn, don't fall asleep." Proceeds to put him to bed to continue sleeping and not take him to hospital! Hilarious! I laughed so loud.
Also, randomly and out of nowhere, Tai Che Ni says to Hai Yi when helping him on with his coat... "Is your heart beating faster since I'm right here? Do you feel love when I'm with you? How bloody random was that, where did that come from? Felt so off and threw me in the flow of the story.
However, liking it... and especially enjoying Vincent and Wynn... that shower scene also had me laughing out loud at how proud Vincent felt - obviously his 'little me' came to the party. #Funny
It’s not just your Western brain that is cold. My East Asian American brain is freezing. The whole servant/master…
So agree on the father. Yes, I too am looking forward to the formalities being dropped now they’re in a relationship, and to Neung realising he’s madly in love and simply can’t let Palm go after they leave the island.
It’s not just your Western brain that is cold. My East Asian American brain is freezing. The whole servant/master…
So hear you. I just don't understand or can relate to the whole servant/master narrative. The way the writer positions it too, like their just dogs at the beck and call of their masters. Honestly, who wants to see this and why does the writer think this would be an enjoyable narrative for us the viewers. You've got to be fucked up in the head if you enjoy storytelling like this or indeed see it as normal. Makes me so uncomfortable.
Oh, what are we watching peeps? What are we watching? So let's just cut to the chase, irrespective of Mama Nueng as its all been eloquently said below and totally ridiculous.
Palm, even though on the island and in his own words his home space, so relaxed, still considers himself subservient to Nueng. Both men's knobs are obviously twitching and feeling aroused by each other from perhaps the outset, but damn, they don't see/understand what it is or acknowledge they're horny for each other. Are we truly meant to believe this writer? WTAF. Palm is literally gagging for Nueng and from what we've been shown, the feelings are indeed replicated. So, what's with the weird writing, where we're supposed to believe they don't feel anything? It just doesn't make any sense.
So Nueng wants a 'holiday romance' again putting Palm into the subservient servant category of 'do what I say, and what I want, after all you are my servant.' Is this really the era we're in? Who honestly wants to see this narrative and is it so important to Thai culture? The whole Mr Nueng seriously fucks with my head. Asian dramas (more so Chinese), seem to feel this is normal amongst couples. In Chinese they seem to confess their undying love to a person, date and still call them Mr or Miss. Just weird. So cold to my Western brain.
Gosh, this story, if you even call it that is utterly stupid viewing. It’s just not enjoyable. It makes absolutely no sense week-after-week, and we have to endure one of the most narcissistic, annoying female leads ever to be found in what is supposed to be a BL drama. Sorry, not sorry, but Ohm and Fluke are not good, convincing actors, I always feel like they’re reading a script and they have zero chemistry. I’m done. It’s just annoying.
Damn this series is utterly adorable. So, so good. The writer is excellent, taking us on a beautiful journey of love - so very well told. Stunning narration. The chemistry between our leads is lovely to behold, so natural with each other. Every episode I've been so engaged and loving. Damn so fine. Love it.
Absolutely adore the direct nature of Kim Jong Chan. Feels good to watch a drama with a mature lead who speaks his mind and tells it as it is - feels very realistic and indeed a breath of fresh air away from the whole childish narrative with ridiculous misunderstandings.
What an utterly lovely drama. Breath of fresh air. Adored it. Kinky, sexy, smutty. Great kisses, communication abound and chemistry with friends and in the relationships.
