In the last paragraph, I agree and disagree. Talking about having a baby on the first night after three years…
I hear you. However, they shagged for 10+ years, obviously using condoms or birth control, so I really don't think she's scared. Her friend loved to get drunk and could have puked up her birth control pill, or indeed forgotten to use or heaven forbid split a condom. Current statistics show that condoms alone are a whopping 98% safe! Also, she asked him for sex in the hotel room. She then asked him if he's staying over at her apartment, once again alluding to wanting sex. She then instigates picking up sexy underwear and boxers with him, with the most unsexy pyjamas I've ever set my eyes on for a planned first night of reconciliation sex! Hilarious.
I don't think she's scared, I think she's a manipulative narcissist constantly thinking about how to get what she wants.
Because It is only 12 episodes. They crammed up there original storyline of 16 episodes into 12.
However, its a huge, huge part of why they broke up - the backbones to the story I'd say and could resonate again if they continue in the relationship! Just doesn't seem realistic to my brain not to discuss.
Gosh, this series is really starting to grate on me. I find Ha Ra's personality both manipulative and hugely narcissistic. It's just episode after episode of me, me, me, me, me, irrespective of whom she's speaking with. She's just so unlikeable and hasn't changed her personality in the slightest to compromise and complement Eun Beom's personality, let alone learnt anything about herself from their break-up. I view her as just bulldozing her way through life and over him.
Also, how can a couple of their age have learnt nothing about the art of communication having been together for 10+ years. In the last episode, she honestly said "can he not read my mind?" No adult would utter such words after being in a long-term relationship, or indeed in love. This is supposed to be an intelligent woman! I can't believe the writer hasn't even had them discuss the issues in their prior relationship, which most intelligent adults would firstly start on resolving prior to moving into their new chapters - just feels weird at this stage in the narrative.
Don't even get me started on the baby dialogue - it's exhausting and so boring. What woman on the first night of having sex with a man she's spent three years pining for, would raise the baby question? A total turn off for any man - it could have waited for another day. Honestly, I find them completely incompatible and hope as the title suggests, become strangers again.
Gosh, this is one childish merry go round of writing. That scene with Johnny and Hai Yi in the kitchen was utter cringe. “No kissing until after breakfast,” said Hai Yi, then proceeded to kiss Johnny with his breakfast in his mouth. What was that whole scene? It felt incredibly unnatural and don’t even get me started on Lin Huai En’s attitude towards Vincent - aren’t you supposed to trust and support the one you love, until they give you reason not to?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣What have I just watched? This script is beyond hilarious and makes absolutely zero sense. Looks like from next week’s preview, it becomes even more utterly stupid and I’m here for it 🤣😆
How many utter shit South Korean BLs have we had to endure lately - honestly!? They’re really flooding out of the disappointment factory. The only saving grace has been that they’ve tended to be just 8-episodes. Yes, they start off with a good script and premise. Yes, they do cinematography and yes they choose beautiful actors, but that’s where it ends.
The last batch showed leads with zero chemistry, lack of story development and absolutely no understanding of gay culture or indeed a realistic gay relationship. Don’t even get me started on those abysmal fish kisses. Word: Gay and indeed heterosexual couples do not kiss like this! One can only conclude that homophobia would indeed appear to be rife in SK.
“Hey, South Korea, we all know you want to cash in on the BL genre, as it’s a highly lucrative and easy revenue stream. After all, your film industry is far too proud to be seen as lagging behind the likes of Thailand, Japan and Taiwan. However, before you roll out yet another BL shit show, you might want to think about embracing, respecting and indeed learning about gay culture.”
the last 5 minutes of the episode was so confusing to me.. him being jealous over his own friend... and I'm so…
You’re right. It really doesn’t make sense when it comes to their motivations and indeed the personalities the writer has already set up. I too find myself so disappointed, as I’ve adored the History series and have re-watched perhaps 6/7 times, but I already know I won’t re-watch this one. #Sigh

Totally hear you - makes no utter sense and the fact that Tai Che Ni knows he’s madly in love with Vincent and vise versa. Totally stupid, unnecessary writing.
yeah im also curious why they never kiss, but again maybe that's actors' preference and if so i'd want to respect…
I personally think they shouldn’t sign up for a BL if they’re unwilling to kiss each other. Wouldn’t mind if they were high schoolers, but we’re talking grown arse adult males - feels off to me, quite like their seriously lack lustre sex scene.
Agree with it all. I think Vincent isn't really the enemy & instead is setting the old man up.
The thing that was clear to me was that Vincent didn’t commit to anything the Board member was suggesting. He simply listened. He’s extremely shrewd that way. What did piss me off and again I found childish in the writing, is that Lin Huai En didn’t have his man’s back. That’s what your instinct instantly tells you to do when in love. Also, Vincent asked him to trust him and he didn’t.

I sort of got the jealousy, as they’d literally started dating and he was looking forward to helping him and being constantly by his side and his friend ends up performing this role. Childish, but I get it.
I think he got the job simply because what the Chairman wants the Chairman gets!
