Thank you for reading. :) I waited more or less patiently for The Rebel to air but now that it's airing I got…
I totally understand that. I haven't watched all of his dramas and I recently decided to pass on his drama Shaw Eleven Lang because I'm quite sure I'll have similar feelings to it like I do with Border Town Prodigal and at least for now I'm not ready for that.
My True Friend made it to my watchlist though because I've seen behind the scenes videos of Zhu Yilong and the actress who plays his mother in the drama and fell for their chemistry.

Sound of providence was a pleasant surprise, I didn't think I'd love it as much as I ended up doing.

Out of curiosity: Is the evil female you're talking about Xiao Ya?
That may be but I don't like the trope of evil SFL so I won't bother watching a drama that has it. I tried it multiple times and it's just not working for me. It's great though when you enjoyed the drama. :)

Right, I'm always happy to see fans of him and know he's getting more and more acknowledged for his acting skills and personality.
Having Zhu Yilong in a drama, I know there's no way I'll be disappointed. Even his not so good dramas were worth watching because of him.

Hello, thank you for your article about him! It was interesting! I also discovered him in Guardian and was impressed…
Thank you for reading. :) I waited more or less patiently for The Rebel to air but now that it's airing I got into Thai dramas (I blame A Tale of Thousand Stars for that xD) and sort of put my plans to watch The Rebel on hold. I'll surely pick it up again though because 2 episodes of it were enough to know I'll enjoy it. ^^

Thank you for keeping an open-minded while reading this article. This topic is quite controversial :'DAnd yes,…
Like someone else commented here I'm also used to dubbing since I live in a non-english country which is probably why I'm pretty neutral about the topic. I grew up with dubbed movies/shows and only later switched to watching US TV series with subs to get better in english pronunciation. Most of the stuff I wanted to watch was simply not available with my native language dub/sub so it was only natural to turn to (english) subs and watch in original language. That way I also learned a couple words/phrases in Japanese, Korean and Chinese so I find hardly any reason to complain. xD

I don't mind dubbing as long as it's done well. My worst dubbing experience was when an anime character who had been dubbed with a real good voice suddenly got dubbed with a different voice actor who had a lisp. I wasn't sure if I should laugh or cry about that but it was so bad that I switched from watching the dubbed version to the original one with subs.
As for C-Dramas, I didn't even notice at first that most dramas are dubbed. Now I sometimes see that face movements and voice don't match 100% but it's still something I can ignore.
Still, if I can choose between Asian dramas that are dubbed in my native language or the original one, I would always go for subs. As for C-Drama dubs, I think there are good and valid reasons to dub so I'm totally okay with it. As you said, sometimes a dub can be a benefit for the drama.
Your article (congrats on your first!) gives interesting insight to this topic, it was a joy reading. <3

hahaha... this is the kind of drama that you can just slip in between long tedious dramas to binge cos it's short…
No, not that one. I'll send a dm. ;)

An unwilling one. I worked on my next article and realized I need a bit of help but since it's supposed to be a secret I can't really ask in public. xD

Indeed, which is why I'm very positive I'll manage to watch it within this year. ^^

Title I Promised You the Moon Spoiler
lets be honest, if this wasnt a drama about a gay couple, but a het one, you wouldnt be excusing teh as you are…
Thank god someone is pointing that out because I was already close to drop season 1 when Teh kept hurting Oh Aew with his actions. I found it hard to feel any sympathy for Teh when he kept playing push and pull with Oh Aew. I won't bother watching this second season anymore because it will only make me hate Teh (even more).

Title SOTUS
I usually don't comment if I think a drama isn't to my liking because everyone is different. But I honestly don't…
You already gave the answer yourself. Tastes are different. I disliked some of the top rated dramas, but I think the majority of people liked them so I'm not confused about it. My top rated list just looks different, that's all.
Just because a drama is hyped or many love it doesn't mean you have to love it as much as them. It's okay, you have other favorites. :)

thanks !! well yaa they do come with a burden ....it's quite difficult to actually imagine having them as reality…
I totally get that. Even though I have only watched (and dropped) While You Were Sleeping from the dramas I have read what most of the dramas are about previously. As a teenager I watched an American TV series called Charmed which is about three sisters who discover that they are actually witches. One of them had the power of telekineses which I found amazing. How much I wished back then that I could move a pencil with only my mind. Imagination is great and opens fantastical worlds for us.

You are safe 😄 I would also love to have that ability. But I'm scared at the same that there would be so much…
Haha good to hear. xD
That's exactly what I mean with burden. None of this special powers come without negative aspects in my opinion, so I'm not really envying anyone. Just think you're not able to handle the power and it's more of a curse than a blessing.

Congrats to your first article! Hm, interesting question you give us. I don't know if I was ever jealous of a fictional character. Well, maybe Ariel from Disney as a child because I thought it would be cool to live in the ocean. xD
At first I didn't think I would want any of the characters special powers you featured in your article. They have awesome powers, that's not it, but I think they come with a burden. Seriously, being able to forecast someone's death sounds horrible to me.
If I would have to choose, which I think I do, unless I want Saarthak to come after me (which I don't lol) I would say I envy Park Soo Ha and his ability to read other peoples thoughts.
I see the most potential in being able to help others in this ability because it would enable one to understand what's going on in their mind and the reason behind their actions or words and what it is they want or need.

Thank you for reading. I also became a fan of him through Guardian. The Rebel is indeed promising. I just started it but I can already see he's gonna be awesome in it. :)

On Baidu it's also listed under Zhu Yilong's dramas with the year 2021 so it really looks like they plan to air…
Yeah, I mean we can at least hope, right? ^^

You can watch intense love and i cannot hug you this two doesn't have poor rich trope
I tried I Cannot Hug You (It had been on my watchlist a while ago) but it was not my cup of tea either. I'll take a look at Intense Love once my current watchlist is shorter. ^^

Great article. I'm not much into her dramas (don't like rich/poor trope and the others just didn't pick my interest) but I'll watch a couple of her movies. ^^

Title The Rebel
you are also watching the Long Ballad? I finished it before because I want to focus for the Rebel. And I also…
Ah thank you. I hope I can pick up that schedule again. My mood thought it would be a good idea to make me watch my first Thai drama A Tale of Thousand Stars. I don't mind because I loved it, but my schedule was killed for these two days. xD
I do like The Rebel so far. It only took one episode to be mesmerized by Zhu Yilong's eyes acting again. ^^
