I correctly predicted it wouldn't air but still am a bit disappointed. Rumor airing dates shouldn't be added here, they are as misleading as rumors of cast.
With a duration of 70 minutes this can't really compare to the almost 2 hours long and insightful documentary about Miyazaki called "The Kingdom of Dreams and Madness". It was a nice watch though, simply to see that despite his many retires this man is not able to stop and returns to work every time which all fans are grateful for. In this documentary Miyazaki reaches out to CGI effects in the hope to materialize some ideas that he can't get down on paper by drawing and it's interesting but also amusing how the modern technique gives him a hard time. A nice watch for fans of Miyazaki.
The entire story of this movie is told with the one-line-synopsis since there's no character depth or twists and turns (aside from cars turning) in the story to look forward to. The movie isn't bad, it's just one of those action movies that don't come with a pack of exciting CGI effects and explosions, which is totally fine. If you're looking for a decent movie to watch on a rainy day go for this.
On Douban it says: "The film focuses on the Chinese peacekeeping police and tells the story of the Chinese peacekeeping police anti-riot team performing overseas missions."
I guess, I'll watch The Rebel while it airs. :)
