I hope that sarcasm lol. Because someone is storing our data, as long as someone got it, they are subjected to…
Please don't get me wrong because I never meant to seem hostile. It's just that your way of saying it (Quote: "This is nothing but a ploy to obtain our phone number so they can sell it to advertising company and we will get spammed") maybe wasn't the best way possible to express your thought to this topic.
What you said in this form is an assumption and a statement NOT an opinion and was directed towards volunteers who run this site without earning money with it, that's why I objected. So before you judge "us" VIPs (who simply show respect for the hard work of those who keep this site running by giving a small amount each month/year) to be hostile you might want to think about your wording of speaking your mind, because there is a difference in showing doubt/expressing opinion and claiming something without having any proof...
"And I speak frankly, rather than trying to find words that don’t hurt the readers/you guys" This is todays problem with the internet. Just because we are anonymous online some people seem to think it's okay to go out and make assumptions and judging without knowing better or having any evidence for their so called "opinions" or worse they are disrespectful and use a language/wording they wouldn't use in public. How about some etiquette and respect in the internet as well?
Oh and once again: NO ONE (including YOU) is forced to have to verify their account with a phone number so why fuss? If you don't trust the admins no one is forcing you to use this site anymore. I surely wouldn't stay on a site I don't trust.
I haven't received any spam/advertisement nor any other message from MDL since verifying my account. So much to "we will get spammed"... xD
I hope that sarcasm lol. Because someone is storing our data, as long as someone got it, they are subjected to…
If I learned one thing then it's that mostly big companies like Amazon and Co are the real bad guys out there. I had an Android phone and couldn't even change my background photo without granting Google access to my location via GPS and yes that was forced and after they included the restricted rights for external apps (see the irony? xD). No accepting the rules, no setting your phone like you want it. That's what I call being scammed, you're paying a huge amount for a cell phone and can't even change the smallest setting without giving access to a huge and well known data-collecting company to your location, address book and more. If there's someone who's selling your data it's Google because that's how they make a living and you keep feeding them with every little search or service you use from them. ^^ Amazon keeps tracking every move on the site. Sure I can disable the tracking but every single time I visit the website it's active again... MDL never scammed me so far and when I had a problem they were super fast and professional in helping me and solving it. And I second what SweetBabyBrat said. You don't have to verify your account, no one is forced to do so, but please don't start rumors and do assumptions because it's not fair to the people who put their effort and heart into this site for us members. Thank you.
Is Nirvana in Fire worth a try even when I'm not interested in political genre and power struggle? Like how much of the drama is about this? I'm a bit worried I might not enjoy it because of this but people say it's so good. Which characters have the bromance by the way? ^^
I just keep coming to the comments when I need to know I'm not going crazy and also when I just rewatched and…
lol This doesn't give me any hope to escape it's clutches anytime soon. Not that I really try because reading from all the others with the same syndrome any resistance is futile anyway. xD I think I can squeeze in an episode now before sleeping or two or three...
lol Yeah sure we only watch because of the good looks and BL subtext... No seriously, I'm past puberty, thanks…
I was only thinking taste (in dramas) is subjective. At least for me it is after seeing comments on other dramas of people disliking something that didn't bother me at all and vice versa. Not sure how others think about it. :)
lol Yeah sure we only watch because of the good looks and BL subtext... No seriously, I'm past puberty, thanks…
Totally agree with you. Usually I don't bother replying to such comments but as you say if it's ridiculous to this level I can't keep still either. The comment bears no logic and looks like its only purpose is to gain attention. I looked through a few of Pinco's reviews for fun yesterday and read another "assumption" of her/him why people liked a drama. This person should definitely stop assuming anything as it's not a given talent to Pinco. xD Maybe it's a personal issue but I dislike people who are jumping to conclusions like this and judging people thinking they're super smart and always right. I've had my fair share of such ignorant persons and find it hard to deal with those as they are deaf to any advise/logic. シ
Oh my! I thought this list was private. The title was directed towards me. Now that I know it is for everyone…
I just started a few weeks ago. Course is every Sunday but now we have a break til January due to holidays. So I learned the Hangeul and some phrases. Need to self study to get better. ^^ I never studied Japanese. What I know today I only learned through watching anime/J-Dramas and lyrics from Japanese songs. I used Romaji to learn pronunciation so sadly I never learned Kanji not to mention Hiragana and Katakana. It was planned all along by me that once I master english and being fluent I would go and learn a new language. It always amazes me how learning a language opens so many doors and new worlds for you. :)
lol Yeah sure we only watch because of the good looks and BL subtext... No seriously, I'm past puberty, thanks…
Exactly. It's funny how one comment can provoke so many others. I do understand that taste is something completely subjective and emotions are included but I'm going with the motto to live and let live which Pincolino doesn't seem to ever heard of. I'm not asking anyone to love this drama as much as I do. I'm merely asking for some respect towards other opinions and not downgrading them. So for someone who claims to not want to waste any time over this drama, he/she is investing quite some time to keep this up. I do have dramas I dislike but I never felt the urge to waste my time and energy to bad mouth them. I'm just moving on. >.<
lol Yeah sure we only watch because of the good looks and BL subtext... No seriously, I'm past puberty, thanks…
"It's the truth"... Hahahaha, excuse me for being amused about this naiveté. Sorry for shattering everything you believe in sweety but just because YOU think it's true, it's not the truth. Comparing comments on YT with us is showing just how much you know about this fandom: Nothing. Not that I blame you after watching 3 episodes... It's not like you could learn much from that. xD As I said it's okay to not like The Untamed and I totally respect anyone who doesn't (if they are respectful). I just wonder why you exasperate over it in the comments and saying at the same time you don't want to waste 10 hours of your life to watch more episodes but wasting your time in discussing with those who loved this drama... No offence but it looks like you love to nag. Why don't you move on and let others enjoy a drama you hate? What exactly is your problem that you can't accept not everyone has the same taste as you? Don't bother replying to my comment since I consider it's only wasting your time lingering on the site of a drama you find nothing good about anyway... lmao
Oh my! I thought this list was private. The title was directed towards me. Now that I know it is for everyone…
Yeah I know what you mean. I have no Chinese knowledge at all so Google Translate it is for me. xD I'm currently learning Korean and guess I'm not having the time to learn Chinese anytime soon. T.T I think all three (Chinese, Japanese and Korean) are interesting languages. Japanese I know a bit, but not enough to form proper sentences or even converse. Would love to master them all one day. <3
Oh my! I thought this list was private. The title was directed towards me. Now that I know it is for everyone…
I think I've seen her in a video but no thanks. I probably won't become a fan of her. xD Actually I used Baidu, they have a huge site with lots of information and even summaries of the episodes. https://baike.baidu.com/item/花谢花飞花满天/18709382 It helped a lot. :) This reminds me a bit of The Untamed and it's not the linguistic barrier here but more like there are so many things happening with background and (hidden) meaning. So it's really interesting to read through comments and how other fans interpreted certain scenes or lines. I drop C-Dramas when there's no hope for english subs left. It's too sad to not understand the story so I prefer not starting it at all.
Is this a good series with a good story or is this just something people drool over because of the good looking…
lol Yeah sure we only watch because of the good looks and BL subtext... No seriously, I'm past puberty, thanks for asking. I like my dramas well written, with a good cast, developing characters and well balanced if it's a mix of genre. I surely didn't complete or give this a 10 because I was just staring at the beauties for 50 episodes. It's okay if you don't like it, no one have to. Just like any other drama The Untamed won't be "THE Drama" that will be loved by everyone. Tastes differ, but assuming that people who enjoyed this are only drooling over beautiful actors or BL subtext is ridiculous and could be considered rude... I've seen many different shows/movies from all kind of countries and when you mention bad acting I have seen it, but not in The Untamed. So I wonder how many episodes (if any?) you have even watched to assume this? The production isn't cheesy either, reading this really makes me wonder why you judge a book by it's cover without even opening it... Also voice acting, that's something you should get used to when watching C-Dramas or maybe stay away from C-Dramas if you can't get used to it as it's pretty common. Just saying.
Oh my! I thought this list was private. The title was directed towards me. Now that I know it is for everyone…
I don't think it's rude, it's just the truth. To me it totally applies. xD Only knew Zhu Yilong from Guardian before and wanted to watch some of his older works. I like his character, his brothers and some support characters a lot. This drama sort of taught me family relations and how they address each other. ^^ I've seen Viann Zhang in Border Town Prodigal as well and while she's a beauty I don't like her plain face. I don't know what it is but she's having the same expressionless mimic in the majority of the drama. Lee Hsin Ai sadly gives me the same vibe so they couldn't convince me at all. If I remember correctly some people said the story is confusing as they "change faces" a lot. Especially in the middle I couldn't understand who is who. Would also like to give the end of the drama a cut...
