Came here after a TikTok recommendation and never expected for this to be this good.I could deal without the misogyny,…
when this drama first came out, it was before the me too movement, so a drama bringing this stuff to light was VERY new during the time. I still remember all the buzz about it. this drama actually began a trend, as a lot of dramas that came out after it began to have plot lines that focused on these issues. This drama is so iconic, it was so popular when it came it, if i remember correctly no drama had ever been watched as much as this one in history, it broke many records!
The first i was still in university and didn't yet face these struggles but i loved it anyways, i laughed and cried.
2nd time i just graduated uni, was extremely depressed and lost with no confidence.
And the 3rd time was when i was leaving a job ( a job in Busan too lmao) and it was extremely hard to leave behind my lovely coworkers who changed my life. It is amazing how this drama can relate to so many stages of my life,
The people who can't appreciate this drama because it's too depressing, well Im afraid these types of dramas just are not for you, because you are clearly unable to see the meaning and message this drama gifted to the audience that did see it. When you are struggling like this in life, sometimes seeing someone else go through it and try their best is the tightest hug you could receive to help mend your broken heart. This is life, hence the name of the drama.... comparing about it being depressing makes no sense. It’s like complaining a horror genre film is scary….
Watched the first 10 episodes but dropped it. It wasn't bad but i really don't want to watch another 10 episodes…
this is not a romance drama, so i dont know why you thought it would have a love line of any kind. This is a serious drama about the struggles of everday life, and it depicts this struggle in such a pure realistic and meaningful way. Each word a character utters hits the audience and its rare for a drama to be so simple yet detailed as this one. That is why this drama did so well in Korea, and why people love it. It is what people needed after a long day at work/school, where a lot of people face this abuse.
Reducing this drama because it did not have an irrelevant love line is very silly.
why are the ratings so high like i could barely watch ep 1 💀
girl ppl will tell you it gets better, and maybe it will but then itll get worse and youll be like wtf and by the end of it youll wonder why you spent time watching it LMAOO. i already got hated on for saying my honest opinion on this weird over hyped drama
Maybe because it's an old movie and I watch it for the first time so I've no memories with it or maybe I'm the…
I agree with you =) I am a reviewer displayed on this page who did that review in 2014, it was really magical back then, esp as someone who was in high school when i first watched it. I think people who are still in school would think this is cute. if youre 20+ its gonna be cringe.
I think you should go and watch the Chinese drama adaptation of this movie, it makes more sense. Thai made things…
chinese version is way too long and has convoluted plot syndrome. Like most c-drama romcoms, it has so many random side stories that are boring, I did not finish it but watched a good majority of it, stopped because it got way too ridiculous with the plot. This version is a simple straight forward romance comedy, the chinese version is this movie on steroids with lack luster acting and a whole lot of zzzzz. But you know i do agree that in a sense the chinese version does make more sense of how much they grew to like each other, well because its like a 40 episode drama =) This is only my opinion though as someone who watched k, C, and T dramas. I watched this movie when it came out so im sure anyone who watches it now will thing it is totally cliche and cringe.
currently at episode 3 and i hate the male lead. not a single redeeming trait.
thats what makes this drama unique though, it is not a rehash of other "cold" male leads. he is not your typical male lead who pretends hes a good guy while doing bad things. he knows hes bad and admits to it. the way things unravel in future episodes will add more detail to his story, the writers for this drama really did such a great job in creating this likeable anti-hero.

does it have a happy ending? (lookin for some light after my dearest ep 10) 😭
no, take a break and watch something happy, then watch this. It's way too good and unique of a drama to not watch just because it has a sad ending. In this case though, i actually prefer their sad ending to the alternative.
I was going to drop this drama at ep 13 but someone on here said that you need to just watch it until the end, and I'm glad i did. Yes, its a tragic ending but for some reason I like that it ended the way it did... for those who want to watch for the romance, then you need to watch it because k-dramas have never seen a romance like this before. It's different and very realistic. anyways need to get some tissues now. btw idk how this drama is rated only an 8.3, im sure its rated that way only because it didn't have a happy-go-lucky ending.
I loved this drama; but the FL is such a push over that it made it very frustrating.
didnt think she was a push over at all, and i dont think FL always have to be the strong and loud type where they argue about everything. Let's learn to accept different personalities for FLs
this was actually such a great drama. like its ond of those rare gems in k-drama land where it does not have an extravagant set up or over the top story, but its just such a perfect slice of life drama that actually makes you feel excited to watch the next episode.
Also the main themes song for this drama is my most played song of 2022/2023. its so good
worst second leads love story in the HISTORY of k-drama. I still cannot believe how weird it was, like they were yelling and being rude to each other the whole time but the story made it seem like their love was so deep LMAOO
J-dramas like these make me realize how slim pickings it is for quality romcom J-dramas that can be both serious and funny. Like did people really enjoy this? someone recommended this drama and it is the most forgettable j-drama i have ever watched. I submitted a review if you want my honest thoughts, as someone who actually DOESN'T mind cliche romcoms and actually loves them. This was a snooze fest where the characters just bicker and the audience are apparently supposed to.... enjoy that? lmao.
I think it has to do with the poor half ass dramas she chooses. She always chooses horrible dramas to act in,which…
i agree that some of the dramas shes been in have just been BAD. but problem is that people blame her for it being bad, when it has nothing to with her her at all. even when shes revealed to be casted in a drama, the comments on here are so rude to her. i personally only like two dramas from her, gangnam ID and graceful family, but i will check out the one you reccomended too! if you havent watched graceful family, you HAVE to watch that. not only is to a good drama all around, her acting gave me goosebumps.
Im Soohyang will forever trigger people on this site. What has she done to make everyone on here mad? the fact that she acted as a university student with Cha Eunwoo? Is it because she's born in 1991, and FLs need to be born not a year after 1994? Shes played all of her roles as they were written to a T, leave her alone. She's done absolutely nothing to no one but minded her own damn business. I use to have no opinion about her until I watched her in graceful family and her acting blew my mind. A good script goes a long way, shes a great actress and would not still be getting roles for over a decade if she wasn't. She does not have the popularity for anything to just be handed to her. My last thought is: Not every FL has to be a strong, independent, outspoken personality. Accept that other women exist
im soohyangs acting in graceful family gave me goosebumps, it's her best performance and proves how good of an actress she is. She has versatility unlike a lot of the "younger" female actors that are more popular than she is. I won't drop names but a lot of the popular actresses literally play the same role every time. She played her role in Gangnam ID so perfectly to the traits a girl with her experiences would have, and people just hated that she wasn't an outspoken loud character, as if someone with those experiences would ever be that way? It really just seems like ageism at this point to me (somehow 1991 is considered a grandma to people on here?), and people hate that her PS is on the more obvious side. People only want natural looking FLs who look and act the way they want them to. If you only like serious or quirky outspoken FLs then watch dramas about those characters (im not referring to you specifically, but to people on here in general always hate quieter FLs like its a crime to not be outspoken). she's also allowed to have bad dramas, woori the virgin was going to be a flop from the beginning, even the original show is awful.
" is because we rarely get a serious/mature romance j drama" hahaha tell me you dont watch much jdrama without…
Nice assumption but my watch list is fully accessible 🤣 you could nicely let me know other good non cringey serious romance j dramas cause I’d love to watch more.
Coherence does not matter if the flow is so disruptive. Like how was the FL her young self when she was pregnant but then she’s the older her when her baby is a toddler? It’s way too disruptive to the story cause it takes you completely out of it. They could have done SO much better to make it work and let’s not pretend that isn’t the case. To each their own but I’ve watched far too many serious romance dramas in general that are stellar and this just does not cut it for me. It wasn’t bad, but no where near a almost 9/10 rating
