I think people like this drama because it’s simple and positive and nostalgic and it gives the audience good…
i totally get that but many dramas have managed to spark nostalgia while having an interesting plot with more versatile characters and more eventful and meaningful progressions. nostalgia and vibes is not enough for a drama to be a 9 in my opinion. this drama is a 7 at most for me. My issue is the rating for this drama is ridiculous. How is it higher than other cdramas that are 100x better such as Meet yourself, that also have a calm slice of life plot, but the story actually has depth?

on episode 2 now and im even more curious what about this show makes it such a high rating bc so far its been…
it wont develop into anything much if youre talking about events becoming more interesting. i skipped like 10 episodes and it made no difference at all, i was able to follow along well, which shows how uneventful and predictable everything is in the show
On When I Fly Towards You Jan 26, 2025
i think i need to learn my lesson that romance cdramas rated 9+ on here have no plot (i.e hidden love and a ton of others). The plot is just the two leads doing regular stuff, there's no climax, no fight, no disaster, nothing. Just boring day to day events. I have no idea why cdrama fans rate dramas like this so high, it really makes no sense to me. I love slice of life, but this is not even that. I'm someone who really enjoyed a love so beautiful, so i get and enjoy this genre a lot, but a love so beautiful had a plot! and every episode was about something interesting, there were fights, there was a climax, there was a progression you wanted to see what happened next. It was silly and cheesy but it was fun. this has none of that. This show is for middle-high schoolers i think, maybe ppl who just wanna day dream abt having a cute boyfriend? I am def not the target demographic. The ML being hot ain't enough for me.

I don't think we watched the same movie because WHAT WAS THIS, NO CHEMISTRY, NO PLOT, NO NOTHING. like I don't…

Psychos I tell you. The workings of bots and MDL still hasn’t fixed it
The real bots are you who disregard awful endings when reviewing a drama just so the rating stays high

....is this comment a joke or are you actually being serious. Do you just ignore all the trashy extremely sexual…
LMAO you are so delusional if you don’t feel the same way about Japanese dramas. So can you explain to me the art being the dramas where adult teachers like students in jdramas? Or the ones with sexual scenes with minors?? Since according to you those aren’t flawed since it’s Japanese 🤣

i dont really agree. I have seen a lot of complaints about the ending, but the ending was very good and there…
thats okay! i respect peoples opinions on here and i understand your perspective! For me rather than a better ending, i think the romance needed to be built better throughout the entirety of the drama. They needed to develop more of a red string deep connection as to why they fell in love, but they never really did that in the story, especially in terms of the 2023 version of the characters. Just university lovers? was not enough for me personally.

So it’s okay to generalize Koreans but not Japanese? LOL

i hope it pains you knowing 99% of koreans are pro-palestine, and have been long before 2023 =) I have yet to…
Never mentioned the government hun;) I guess you’re mad knowing the actors you love are pro Palestine. You will literally be outcasted here if you say you like israel. People will think you’re weird. Do you know nothing about Korean history and what Koreans went through?

blah blah blah...controversy, controversy...outrage, outrage, outrage...angry "viewers" (how many? 3? 300,000?,…
i hope it pains you knowing 99% of koreans are pro-palestine, and have been long before 2023 =) I have yet to meet a single person in korea who is not pro-palestine. Hope you never forget that everytime you watch a drama with your favourite actor, just know they are pro-palestine <3 i love walking around haeundae and seeing koreans protesting for palestine because they hate israel and have hated it for over a decade =) My co-workers tell me aboout how news cant fool koreans cause they watch youtube breakdowns, made by koreans, about the truth of what israel is. xoxo muah!
On A Time Called You Jan 5, 2025
I was skeptical and did not watch this for such a long time due to everyone's complaints. Mind you, i tried watching the Taiwanese version a long time ago but for some reason dropped it after the first episode. Most likely not the fault of the drama, I am just not use to Taiwanese dramas and I can understand Korean so i just decided to watch this version.

If you are hesitating to watch it like i was, having not watched the Taiwanese version, I say ignore everyone and watch it. I don't see a point in watching this if you already watched the Taiwanese version though. This is a time travel, mystery and thriller kind of drama, it will obviously be less enjoyable if you already know everything that is going to happen? duh! I think people need to stop blaming the Korean version for their lack of interest in this one if they already watched the Taiwanese version.

The acting here was so good, I honestly had to remind myself that the roles of Junhee and Minju were played by the same actress, because that's how good she was! It really felt like different people, and that says a lot because it is so difficult to change character and actually have the audience feel the difference in a way that is not overacting and silly. She was natural, and the emotions felt so real.

The only down point of this drama, which i am sure the Taiwanese drama had too, is the romance. I just wish we understood more why the 2023 junhee was so in love on koo Yeonjun. They just showed a very simple and basic girl meets boy university story, but for one to want to go through all they did to be with each other, there needs to be more of a special connection than just what they showed. This is was most lacking part of the drama for me, but since the story is so interesting and captivating, I was able to forgive it and still say this was a great watch. The kiss scenes are also very taiwanese drama coded...lol if you watch c-dramas you know what I'm saying.

But anywho, if you do not know what to watch, watch this! But please start it on a Friday night caused you will want to binge it.

Series was excellent, didn't like the ending, at all. I mean give them some closure, wtf is this type of ending,…
i dont really agree. I have seen a lot of complaints about the ending, but the ending was very good and there was closure. Reading the complaints made me think this drama had some awful open ended ending, or even worse, for nothing to have even changed after all of the time travelling. I am not sure what more people want from the ending. The more they give the more it would feel draggy. As a view I fully understood how everything ends.

The last episode was a joke, of course, and still managed to infuriate me. I was not gonna write anything about…
agree with everything you wrote. The writing of the leads characters was so back and forth it really did not settle right with me. I binged 1-10 so i did not feel it at much but while waiting for 11-12 i really could objectively view this drama for the mess it truly is. What a great premise but of course it could not be handled well like a lot of complex plot kdramas. One day writers will understand the beauty of simplicity.
On When the Phone Rings Jan 4, 2025
this drama is not gonna age well. Right now you can clearly see those who can objectively judge a drama for what it shows and those whose initial love for it fuels the delusion what they want to twist it to be. It's really never that serious yall. Touch grass. A drama is to be judged from beginning to end, objectively. That is how you review and rate it. Making up your own long and tired reasons for why nonesense things in this drama were the way they were just proves the point of the objective viewer. The average viewer is one who has a life and will not sit for hours coming up with excuses, and it is the average viewer who ultimately decides if a drama will be remembered as good or not. Accept it and move on.
On Nevertheless, Jan 3, 2025
by no means am i a fan of this drama, i even gave it a very average rating, but i am literally pmsl that people are mad that a drama trying to depict a real toxic relationship was in fact... realistic??? some of the people here rlly read the synopsis and still thought this was gonna be about a humble conservative man who only wants to sleep with one woman LMAO

From the trailer it seems there is no connection between this drama and the Japanese version. There is no connection…
....is this comment a joke or are you actually being serious. Do you just ignore all the trashy extremely sexual and pronographic jdramas? the ones about teachers falling for students? the ones about forced marriage? ah yes, the japanese only care for the art, these dirty koreans!!!

Watching the K-drama Nevertheless was one of the worst experiences I have had. While I initially looked forward…
i can understand why you hated their relationship, but i also want to let you know that the WHOLE point of this drama was to portray a toxic relationship. That is the whole premise. Are directors and writers not allowed to discuss the issues in toxic relationships and display that into a drama? A drama about two perfect humans falling in love with no flaws is boring and nobody learns anything from that story. I think you need to ask yourself "what is the point of this?" "what is the message?" and go from there. It is a reality that toxic relationships exists in real life, and dramas are allowed to depict reality instead of only depicting a fairytale land where both men and women are perfect and don't make any mistakes in life.

I'm a little confused at what you were expecting, since you said you were excited to watch it... no where in the synopsis was this drama made to seem like a show about a "morally perfect" relationship.

Sooooo many fake positive reviews with multiple accounts that have been created really recently and the comment…
they gonna deny this but look how the rating went down when non die hard fans of the actors watched it and fairly rated it for what it is. a 6.0 at best lmao.

I think I would look at it a different way. These are two people who have had deep feelings for each other (certainly…
i clearly stated i get the excuses the drama made for it, but if my body did not feel anything when they kissed/interacted as a couple then so what? its just how i felt and I explained why. not everyone needs to feel the same way and that's okay!
