What about this show is light hearted??? Did you watch this for real?

This is honestly the best k drama I have ever watched when looking at it from the most critical point of view. This is a whole piece of work where every little detail was thought about. The people who would call this boring and too long (??? Also light hearted??? What about this is light hearted) have probably not reached a stage in their life where they could appreciate everything this show offered its viewers. Absolutely a 인생drama I don’t know how else to describe it anyway else. I just want to put the whole show in my pocket and carry it around.

his role in "the dude in me"(damn awful title) gave me goosebumps, like ive been his fan since 2012 and i could not even recognize him and I underestimated his skills before watching that. Also he was great in sweet home as well.

I personally feel like people who watched the orig Chinese version do not need to watch this. I didn't know what to watch so i watched it (mostly skipping through a lot of parts). I think it would be better if i had not watched the original, like why the hell watch a show where you literally know all the major plot lines. Kinda dumb to blame your boredom on this drama alone when it's really cause you already saw the original.

But if people who watched the original and really want me to compare, I will say that the child actors in this one cannot act so i never felt emotionally attached, but also this drama gives off very bright vibes throughout, whereas the original is more of a emotional experience (which I prefer as a fully grown adult). Also the original's humour is just unmatched. I think teens will prefer this version though since its fluffier, actors all did a good job too =)

I really just hope this drama has a good script cause I am tired of people thinking jinyoung can’t act. I don’t expect them to watch the movies he’s been in to find out he can so let this just be a drama to end the hate!!!

Most of the dramas he’s been in have had awful scripts so no one really wants to watch them LOL but the movies he’s been in have all been hits

as Jinyoungs #1 supporter i think this 7.9 is too high of a rating for this show lmao. The difference between Jinyoungs movies and dramas is actually kinda hilarious, cause the movies he chooses have all had great scripts and his acting is stellar, then the drama scripts he gets are absolute trash man needs to just so NO sometimes.

seeing kyrstal and jinyoung together was so cute tho they deserved better, we need them together again in a good show

surprised how this actualy was not bad or as cringey as i expected, altho it would have been 10x better if jihoons hair was not yellow and poofy like a little poodle, it did not suit him but i got use to it after a couple epsidoes

I watched this drama back in 2018, and I'm surprised how much i liked it. I just remembered it now while sorting my top dramas list, and somehow this is number 10 for me..... i don't know why, it must have been what i was going through was so similar to what one of the characters. this is a drama that either clicks with you or it doesn't, because the plot is actually really silly and some of the characters are very strange but that's what was comforting about it, it made me feel like i was not alone. it was SO hard for me to finally decide to start watching it but people contemplating should consider it because it is really not what you'd expect it to be.

the top reviews for this show are so poorly written like mdl needs to have rules about what gets placed as the top reviews to be displayed. idec if they rated the drama low, at least have it be a well-written review. One is choppy and word vomit, the other wasn't even initially written after they watched all the episodes??? are you FR LMAO.

Also an 8.8 drama having 6.0 reviews on the front page is just misleading... if the majority rated this drama above a 7.0, then the people who wrote reviews with a similar rating should be displayed. like if i was someone who was contemplating watching this then i wanna know why this drama is rated so high, idc about the minority who rated it low.

the most impressive thing about this show is honestly the editing. crispiest shit I've ever seen. they really knew what they were doing and how to do it.

I enjoyed this to an extent but for me the biggest drawback is that it was choppy. I think that's why it feels very strange watching it. Couldn't put my finger on it, but the show was just trying to do too much at once, which would be find if this was a 12-16 episode show, but an 8 episode with all this?

i think about this drama all the time, I think it's the only show of it's kind to portray a love so genuine, we saw them gradually like each other in such a realistic and beautiful way... in most dramas I have to gaslight myself into believing they'd love each other to that degree but that's not the case for this. We need more 30's romances,

i understand and appreciate your perspective completely, as i stated, i know why he is like that but i still dont like him... i mean i dont hate him but Im just the type of viewer who likes to feel a connection with the lead of a show and i dont feel that here, but i get not everyone cares about that. Also, i dont think Yoongi is normal, hes a psycho too but in a more likeable way.

WCH comparisons is very understandable, its the exact same premise of nerd boy gets bullied and starts fighting + dad has high hopes for son. so to not expect people to compare it is... not going to happen. even the word hero is in both titles lol. I dont think theres anything wrong , since WCH is a great drama and kick started this trend again, which i love =)

idk what this mans agency is doing he should have blown up by now. In every drama I've watched where he's a supporting role he will be my favourite character out of everyone. (doona, gumiho).

yeah see this is exactly why i cannot warm up to him... ill finish this show but if theres a season two i will not watch it if hes going to be the main focus again. i couldnt care less if he tranfers schools and we never hear about him again LMAO

im enjoying this but there is something off about it...idk if its the distracting subs (which i do not read but seeing the word "baby" come up every 10 seconds as a translation for saekki takes me out of the show so please look at the discussion post above to watch this show from their link if you do need subs).

I also feel its the fact that both MLs are likable yet unlikable at the same time, although yoongi is mostly likable but Euigyum is... idk... i completely understand why he is the way he is but i feel like this show was trying to make him a park jihoon type from WCH where he's cold but so lovable but instead it missed the mark completely (sorry for the comparison but it cannot be ignored),

idk if youre going off the eng translations cause the end sub of this drama is absolutely horrendous and i switched to watching this drama raw, this drama is gonna lose so many viewers cause of the subs its like we went back to 2009 but worse...

but i also agree about mannerisms sometimes being a little silly... although i think these dramas do it on purpose to give a comic book vibe? these dramas purposely do not want to be realistic, i read somewhere that they purposely cast older looking actors as well... so my perspective when watching these shows has changed more towards... is the plot good or not? rather than how realistic it is. my opinion of this show is up in the air though... its interesting but something is off about it..

i watched this drama and your comment is spot on of what it is. The people responding to you are in denial. I'm surprised you didnt watch it because your thoughts on it are literally mine, and i DID watch it until the end, it was so disgusting and idk how people view it as a 10/10 love story.... damn yall are COOKED this is why love is dead LOL must be their jp fetish taking over their brains? idek
