Title Dear.M
The review that said "i'm impressed" is really my reaction to this drama. I've honestly had this on my watch list for a while, after reading comments here I decided not to watch it at first, but I really have always wanted to watch another drama with a similar feel as gangnam ID (just for those uni vibes) and this may have been even better. it's simple slice of life, script is so natural so this show never felt cringey like most uni dramas, and all the characters were interesting. This drama is not trying to be drama of the year, this has all been done before, but there was something so comforting about this... I am just genuinely surprised because i went in with 0 expectations and watching it has honestly been such a treat! No filler scenes, a fun watch from beginning to end.

Right off the bat, the drama did a poor job establishing the mysterious M and its mystery. The story was so soulless…
this drama really aint that deep for this type of comment... its just a slice of life drama about uni students... thats it.... the dear m mystery wasnt even the main plot line... even without it this drama is cute for what it is... very realistic dialogue, no unrealistic cringey scenarios (i.e crushology), no filler scenes... this is clearly not your type of show... maybe watch a mystery thriller instead?

I don't understand why people are latching on to the "the original was better" narrative with this one because the original was absolutely uneventful and this version was equally as uneventful. I hoped this version would not be like the original in that sense, like just take the idea and make it into something more intense... meaningful... eventful.... i reviewed the original a long time ago and if it wasn't for that review i made i'd honestly forgotten i even ever watched the movie, it was that unforgettable. I love jinyoung in this though, he's so nice to look at but i judge things objectively even if my fave is in it, this is a 7/10 at best.

Title Yumi's Cells Spoiler
started watching this, almost done but I am quite.... bored. At first it was cute and interesting, but I just cannot take this drama seriously as a mature romance... the issues that arise are just very stupid, in your late 20's, the issues you run into with men are not this... this is like high school/early twenties shenanigans, but these characters are in their... 30's????? the kdrama world really has trouble displaying a realistic and relatable love in the 30s age group, (homecha is an example of them doing it well, like real issues you'd face in your 30s). This is just... over dramatic, like if i was her, and i had a problem with my man having a female friend, i'd just leave him... lmao... like i wouldn't ask him to unfriend her, id just think this isn't it and leave... he's either gonna unfriend her himself (which is what has happened in my experience lmao) or you just go on to find another one! Which doesn't seem hard for her since this girl seems to have no standards... like really offering to pay for everything LMAO GIRL? this is why you end up with trash, and she still does it with this guy too.

I’ve paused for a couple of weeks now so I’m reading the comments too to decide if I’d continue and it’s…
I’m going to continue watching anyways cause I needed something light after watching “ family matters “ I think these silly dramas have a place in drama land too! Not everything needs to be deep

Good choice to not read the comments. People were hating on in soohyang everywhere, anywhere her name comes up she gets so much hate.

I can see the complaints for this show though, I watched the first two episodes and the story line is very… silly? lol, like it’s cute for a mini series but I can’t see this being interesting for a full fledged 12 episode show. It’s also very much targeted for elementary/middle school students. With gangnam ID it was also for a younger audience but older watchers could also appreciate it due to it tackling a serious issue in SK.

Not for children or fictitious adults, this is deep.
yes, from time to time I remember how people commented how this drama sucks cause its... realistic? talking about how "the work culture is soo toxic" like that isnt the whole point of the whole damn show LMAO the drama is called incomplete life ,like they thought it was gonna be a happy go lucky show based off of what? now i come to this comment section once a year for funsies
On Crushology 101 May 12, 2025
have no idea whether to start this or not based on the comments...but then again I loved gangnam ID when everyone was shitting on my girl im soo hyang for playing a girl with low self esteem exactly how she'd be like irl so maybe i should just watch it and judge it for myself...

am i the only one who enjoyed season 2 more than season 1? even the dynamics between the characters and the friend…
I also enjoyed it more. I think a lot of people cannot objectively judge a show. They want the same exact shock value as season one which doesn’t make sense… this is a sequel and you cannot be shocked about something you already know? You can’t make everyone happy but for me objectively judging the two this season was enjoyable and rewatchable from beginning to the very end, season 1 is just very difficult to rewatch, some parts are just too frustrating, it’s amazing as a first watch though. For this season I also felt like the storyline was more developed, they clearly spent a whole lot of time coming up with something that the season could be based on.

Could be but the clear dialogue they repeated and brought up time and time again is how he said “you’d be a good wife but not a good mother” so that is def a reason why Jaemi left him at least.

where is woo do hwans baeksang nomination?absolute circus
story and production wise this drama blew all 2024 k-dramas out of the waters, but for some reason it was not a hit domestically, mostly because the leads are not extremely popular actors which is necessary for netflix shows to do well domestically. There has to be someone with a big fanbase domestically, especially for the romance genre. Zombie/thriller/mystery dramas may be able to do well with average popularity actors but the romance genre is actually way more difficulty to break through domestically if its a netflix original. Just my observations.

This drama wasn't for me so I ended up sort of skimming through it to see what happens. So I probably missed something,…
Jaemi wanted a family, Haejo did not want kids, he was scared of being a father so instead he made her feel like she could never be a good mother to convince her to not want children. This is how I interpreted it. A shitty thing to do indeed, i loved this drama and I feel Haejo regretted doing that to her after they met again in the present, but I did wish he would have apologized for what he did... although his character is not the type to do that, but you could clearly see it through his expressions.

i didnt even see that just watched the series, and i understand what that meant.for some reason, delusional shippers…
That’s literally not the point. The problem is westernized people will see two men being affectionate to one another and equate that to them being in love, where as people from Asian cultures do not view it that way because we have always had same sex be affectionate to each other. That’s why yall are delusional and will make up ships out of nothing.if you wanna think level headed people who have media literacy are being homophobic go ahead we do not care. I just feel bad yall twisting real peoples words to mean your own deluded agenda.

I’m gonna watch all your reccs next! Thank you!

And yes watch atypical family. It is not a perfect drama but its flaws are very minor, I’m really shocked it didn’t go viral because it’s something I’ve never seen done before in dramaland. The characters are also very refreshing, especially the female lead. The super powers sound lame but it’s done in such a classy way (although the sisters flying power kinda hilarious and cringey at times 🤣, literally my only complaint and it’s a very minor role). The acting is 10/10 and the romance is so natural, very mature and suits the age of the characters. I binged it. I’d give the show a solid 8/10 as a whole. Also I want to add this is a drama where the producers put A LOT of detail into the soundtrack to match the emotions. The way it was filmed is def higher than the average kdrama.
