I need answers 😭 And I know they’ve not been 100% true to the novel but I feel like since this is such an important reveal that they may stick to the original work.
Relying only/heavily on miscommunication as a plot device is just so lazy and annoying. I really like the vibe, cinematography and acting of this drama. But it just feels like one big drag out about sth that is so extremely obvious and could’ve been done in half the episodes. Its not even a chain of events that caused a misunderstanding, it’s truly just that one of them would have to say I like you and it would be over.
The people in the background of that party dancing hopefully got paid extra because they were all I could look at during that scene on the sofa. Every time there is a party/club scene I just remember that the people dancing are most probably dancing to no music. And thats why they look so funny.

To basically help him to be happy because he helped her when she wanted to end her life. She doesn’t develop feelings for him up until a certain point. And he is the one that’s constantly pursuing her and has a crush on her in every timeline. The whole point of the time traveling for her is to protect him (and herself) so it wouldnt make sense if she just left him alone. This is a time travel drama so its hard to just throw around the word grooming imo especially because they’re the same age most of the time. She didnt just get to know him as a high schooler but knew him as someone her age for 15 years.
He brutally rapes bai lou yin/su yu because his (bais) ex girlfriend comes back and he (gu) thinks he cheated on him/is going to back his ex. I‘m not sure what the exact reason was because it has been more than 5 years since I read the book. But regardless reading that was really gut wrenching and as I said it took me a while to continue the book after that. Sadly there is a lot of sexual harassment (and rape) in queer romance media that its pretty much normalized but that was really extreme imo.
