Yes! I was thinking the same (both for family and Sugimoto). I even thought he might have feelings for Takashi…
This is bit off topic but I always found it funny when homophobic people use the fact that a two men or two women cant have biological kids as an argument for their homophobic agenda. Someones sexual organs dont just stop working because they are gay. They can very much still have biological children. Or they can adopt. Takashis family seems to be very fond of the concept of adoption anyway.
Takashis family dynamic is wild. A rich family giving up their high school aged son for adoption. Because of a rumor. And Sugimoto is the biggest creep ever. And I just know they wont even elaborate on his behavior in the last episode.
I'm confused about some comments talking about Takashi's playboy image. So I watched again from the beginning,…
I agree with you. The only thing I can think of is as superficial as it gets and thats his looks. He’s very handsome and charismatic but that shouldn’t warrant him constantly being called a playboy.
One scene I will never forget about this when it was He Zi Qius birthday and his annoying aunt came to visit. All she did was quilt trip him and that he should be greatful etc. It was awful seeing her treat him like he isnt part of the family. And then what made me cry was how Li Hai Chao got so upset over that in such an emotional way about how dare she treat him like he isnt part of the family. I will never forget that scene and how emotional it got me to still regularly think about it.
Sehyun asking his brother if he was the reason Taejun committed suicide out of nowhere was so odd to me. I know its cause of limited time and that they needed to get to that plot point but how does anyone just jump to that conclusion after finding out he knew Taejun.
Meh. They could’ve done better. While I get that the internalized homophobia is used as a plot device to show how they’re scared (of their feelings) I think it was a bit of a overkill to do that with every single couple. Its like the author is still clinging onto the „hes only mean to you cause he likes you“ mindset that is just extremely harmful in every way. Sehyun getting assaulted so much just made me so uncomfortable as well.
used to? women are always subject to male harassment, physical and psychological. "straight" kdramas present 1)…
I might have worded it wrong and youre right. What I was trying to say that the romanticized ways women used to get harassed in kdramas have now become the norm in bls. And with saying used to I dont mean that it doesnt happen anymore but that there has been a bit of a change in the last 10 years. I just personally find it interesting how a lot of tropes that used to get heavily used in „straight“ dramas are how bls are establishing themselves rn. And yes those same harmful tropes etc are still present in „straight“ dramas but I hope you get what I‘m trying to say.
Btw you use a lot of fancy words I can’t argue with someone that writes such good analysis
The way Yuan's entire existence revolves around Qian isn't particularly romantic to me, personally, so I'm hoping…
I love this comment. There are so many dramas where a characters whole life revolves around their „romantic interest“ and it usually turns me off from the story. The characters seem so one dimensional, weirdly obsessed, even boring and the romance doesnt feel romantic to me either. But with this story I actually feel like the separation will grow Yuans personality the right way.
I feel like we‘ve come full circle with kdramas. It used to be the female lead of straight romance dramas getting harassed in some kind of way and now its the male lead in bls. Also jungha gives me the creeps. The only thing that’s missing is the creepy background music while he does the weird things he does (I just finished ep 3)
They bring boys in front of clients as if they were going to appraise them, they open their shirts to show their…
I find your comments amusing. It really doesnt matter if you get worked up about some chest showing and tight clothes but they’re not prostitutes. You dont have to like whats being portrayed here and I‘m sure this show is also supposed to portray the negative sides of this job as well. But its very obvious that they’re not having sex in exchange for money which means they’re not prostitutes.
I kept thinking the blur effect reminds me of cutie pie and naughty babe and turns out its cause this is also by mandee. Someone in mandees post production team hates seeing the real skin of grown men. Anything close to a pore, blemish or stubble wont be tolerated.
It looks like this ship is sinking since last year
I disagree. They’ve been doing this for a long time so they dont have to be all extreme with the fan service anymore. Compared to a couple years ago they look more comfortable around each other now imo.
I also thought it looked a little funny but maybe they put them in capital letters because MD is the abbreviation for Medical Doctor so it can also be read as „Bangkok Center of Medical Doctors“

Not but can someone tell me what this is even about?
