Damn, this was a good drama. I initially started it as something to watch since I was caught up to several other airing shows . . . and then just put those on hold to watch this full time ^^'
Definitely will be rewatching this, probably multiple times. 10/10 highly recommend!
Just had a looked at your watch list…you clearly got next to no taste so I won’t fault you for your weirdly…
This account spews hateful vitriol on like all of XK's dramas. I've seen them word vomiting generic hate veiled as "criticism" on a number of other non-XK drama pages too, so they're just in the camp of 'misery loves company' and feel the need to rain on others' happiness and enjoyment. I pity people like this who take themselves way to seriously and think that hating on everything makes them superior, "cool," or some professional critic. Ignore or block - they're not worth your valuable time :)
If you like historical dramas, I've been watching The Double and it's hooked me good. It's part of the reason…
Oh well, besides these 3 dramas, I haven't watched anything too recently. May and June were hell months for me between job interviews and getting my Master's defense ready so I abstained from all C- and K-dramas. It was a dark, sad time
Viki's subs are a disgrace. The fact they take money for this kind of product is appalling.
I honestly think Viki's subs are superior (and easier to follow) than pretty much any other streaming site (Netflix and Amazon included who hire professional translators). Especially compared to iQiyi and WeTV (god sometimes I have to rewind multiple times to make sense of what's being said because either the wording is extremely awkward, translated literally so it makes no sense from an English perspective [idioms, for example], or the grammar is incorrect). I don't speak Mandarin or Korean, though, so I can't account for the accuracy, but clarity wise - Viki reigns supreme in my opinion.
If it's the airing schedule you're upset with, friendly reminder (and to add to what @Ck1Oz said), Viki's subs are all done by fans, voluntarily (for free) and in their free time. So to expect them to crank out 6+ episodes in one sitting is unfair. We pay for the privilege of watching high quality, ad-free, LEGAL, and importantly SAFE dramas that otherwise wouldn't be easily or safely accessible. Viki is likely also restricted by contract in it's airing schedule of currently airing dramas. The primary streaming site (Youku, Tencent, etc) understandably gets to air their IP before other international sites.
If you don't like it, don't pay for it and take your chances with pirate sites *shrug*
ABAY occupied me so well Now i literally dont know what iam gonna watch next Any recommendations,?
If you like historical dramas, I've been watching The Double and it's hooked me good. It's part of the reason I've been able to wait patiently for more episodes of ABAY to release on Viki.
At first I started it as something to watch because I was caught up to both ABAY and the Princess Royal . . . but then I just put both of those on hold to mad binge TD lol
Looking at the comments here, it seems like a lot of people are enjoying it, but does anyone know why the rankings…
MDL only ranks airing shows on their “top” lists. Since ABAY released all remaining episodes for express package, it’s now considered “finished”
As for ratings, a lot of people in the beginning rated super low (1-2) without watching probably (antifans/haters) and based on what I’ve seen a few novel fans are unhappy with the adaptation
where are people watching this drama? i know it says youku but i was hoping it would be somewhere else as well…
I'm hoping it will end up on Viki eventually. TBOY is on Viki, and most recently The Princess Royal (another Youku drama) is also on Viki - but with a very delayed airing schedule. TPR ended last week, but Viki has only released 34/40 episodes
I like what some people have mentioned doing - waiting for more episodes to come out in order to binge the period of time JX and HT breakup. That way I won't need to suffer with only 1 episode per day of them being estranged T___T
Should we count how many product is implanted in the drama for ads purpose?- certain type of drinking water-soda…
When XYX was making dinner at Lili's house, he made pre-made shrimp dumplings. There was a short but very clear shot of the packaging and Lili made a point to say "Mmmm delicious." XD
Someone wrote over on the MDL page for The Double:"I can go on for pages about this drama, LOL. But yes, while…
I've only watched 4 episodes of The Double so far, but I can definitely say that I REALLY like the directing style for this drama. Story/acting aside (not far enough to judge yet), the visuals, framing, cinematography, everything is just stunning.
So yeah, I'm looking forward to MR even more now than before (which I didn't think possible haha)
I have watched some of his dramas, and most of them are modern. Tbh I rarely watch historical dramas. They are…
I highly recommend Wonderland of Love. That was the drama that made me fall head over heels for him, and in my opinion, showcases some of his best acting to date.
He also has superb chemistry with his leading lady and the drama is one of those rare ones with a really well done, thorough ending.
Definitely will be rewatching this, probably multiple times. 10/10 highly recommend!
I was surprised by the amount of bare skin we’ve seen in ABAY, so maybe XK is a lot more comfortable now.

But where can you watch the extra episode? Viki never releases those (from what I can tell), so I seriously doubt it'll be available to watch there :(

Hits me in the feels in every single one of his dramas T__T
How many takes did they need in order for XK to nail the "cool CEO" look while in too small flower pj pants?
