Canโt wait to see XuKai again in anther drama. Has anyone seen any trailers for this drama at all
The only ones I'm aware of are an about 30 sec teaser and BTS-special that were released shortly after they wrapped filming. Both are available on youtube if you search the drama title
Ah, I really want to watch this now . . . but I'm (re)watching this series with my best friend and we're only in the beginning of S2. We can only fit in like 1-2 episodes per week and I just know having to wait will be torture T___T
(I'm pretty sure I don't have the willpower to resist!)
What are his best fantasy drama? I only saw Legends and liked it very much! Best if with HE! But even no if the…
I will wholeheartedly agree with recs for Wonderland of Love (my queen of c-dramas honestly) and Ancient Love Poetry. For ALP, I resisted watching it for a looooong time just because xianxia as a genre is a major hit or miss for me (usually falling in the miss category) but all ALP did was raise the bar even higher!
Episode 19 has to be one of the best single episodes of a fantasy c-drama I've ever seen. Massive kudos to everyone involved, especially our leads for bringing all that raw emotion to life!
Expressing your desire for Xu Kai to try other genres shouldn't be an issue. I think what might bother fans is…
Even though I don't really dislike or disagree with any of his role choices, I do honestly agree with how you feel about *some* of his fans. I think of myself as a true Xu Kai fan (he's the only c-actor I actively follow), but there's a handful of super zealous fans here that label anyone a hater for anything they view as a hint of criticism (even constructive). Don't like a particular outfit or hair style - hater. Express desire to see him in different types of roles/genres - hater. It's for that reason that I don't really interact on his actor profile or drama pages much anymore. I'm tired of their toxic BS - they bark about others bringing hate and toxicity onto his pages, when they're the ones who amplify everything by continuously wailing about it. So I've blocked a bunch of them, which has made my MDL experience better honestly. I'm too jaded about shit that actually matters in life to let internet randos with the EQ of preteens affect my day because they can't grasp the concept that not all fans love love love 200% of everything their gege does *shrug*
Unfortunately, zealots are everywhere in fandom - not just for Xu Kai. I'm also into K-pop and it's also pretty rampant in those circles. Make any comment that isn't 200% positive about someone's oppa and it's like you've murdered a bunch of puppies.
So yeah, my long-winded way of saying, "I see you and I agree with you." ^^'
Ya'll I finally found the OST in Apple Music (US) - don't know if it it was added sometime recently or has always been there and I just wasn't searching for it correctly
But let me tell you, as soon as that opening theme started playing, legit tears from just the nostalgia. I have so many dramas on my watchlist, but I may need to go back and rewatch this one again soon *happy tears*
I don't know if any of you are on reddit, but Xu Kai regularly gets his ass kicked in the cdrama posts. I don't…
I've found that the majority of people who post regularly on reddit (about any topic) tend to be pretentious a**holes who think their opinions are fact, or that their taste in that particular subject is the only taste that matters. I've seen so many people sh*t on my favorite kpop/rock/metal/pop artists, authors, actors, everything and they get majorly offended if anyone tries to say anything contradictory.
Reddit can be useful to find answers to niche questions, but I avoid diving too deep into subreddits or topics on things I like, because most of the time I just get frustrated with all the hate.
As an aside, I honestly don't understand why people focus on things they dislike so much? Like when I discover something/someone I don't like . . . I move on? I focus on something that brings me enjoyment rather than stew in dislike or hate-watch/listen/read. The world sucks enough as it is without forcing myself to consume media that I don't enjoy. But maybe I'm the weird one
The first 19 episodes should already be up! I'm on episode 10 (on Disney) - so you should be able to at least start now if you'd wish! I think they'll be dropping the remaining episodes on the 7th
I guess that depends on whether international viewers on WeTV count toward the heat index and other data (total views, etc). If so, then yeah - limiting MR's release on WeTV globally would have had a noticeable effect since only like, what, 2 other countries outside mainland China had access on WeTV?
I also don't know if views on international platforms like Disney, Netflix, or Viki even count toward viewership numbers (I doubt it - but someone correct me if I'm wrong)
If you hover your mouse over the rating (or tap on it if you're using your phone), another box will pop up with…
I had no interest in Feud mostly because the synopsis didn't move me, and then especially when I heard how angst-ridden it is. No thank you - I have enough anxiety because of real life (I live in the US, need I say more?), no need for abundant fictional angst too!

I like looking at numbers/data and can't help myself even though I know it's mostly BS on this site lol
By this point I kinda just roll my eyes at haters' antics and pity them for taking energy and actual time out of their day to sabotage a drama's rating on a site c-ent gives literally no fucks about XD
i mean, what's up with these crazy ex girlfriends lately?! First we have Tian Xu Ning and Zi Yu's exes, now Xu…
From what I've observed in both K-ent/Kpop and C-ent is that certain scandals seem to trend/go viral?
Not too long ago, K-ent was swept up in a A LOT of school bullying allegations against many idols/actors. Like one after the other, pretty much daily a new idol was being accused. And I'm sure some if not many of the allegations were true; however, multiple accusers were eventually proven to be lying. One actress (I can't remember her name) was actually accused of school violence by the people that BULLIED HER in school! (How sick is that?)
So I think there are some clout chasers that see certain scandals take root, go viral, and seriously affect the accused . . . so they decide to do it to whomever they want (or are paid to attack, if some fan theories are true) knowing that the public/netizens are already fired up about that particular subject
Based on what I've read, it seems like the accuser in XK's case doesn't have concrete evidence to back up her claims and has changed her story multiple times, so I'd take her allegations with a grain of salt. People telling the truth rarely change major details let alone the entire time lime of their allegations. But it's up to the law to judge this matter now *shrug*

I wholeheartedly agree. Douban recently did a purge of fake accounts/reviews/ratings, and I honestly think MDL should do this too if they want to maintain any semblance of "validity".
MDL did used to have a score breakdown (at the bottom of the stats tab - the one that looks like a bar graph), but I honestly haven't seen those updated for any dramas since like 2023.
Also it's pretty fair to assume that a large percentage of dropped scores are 1s given that the dropped rate on this was about 2.5% (>200 accounts) the last time I checked, which is ungodly high for a drama with mostly positive comments/reviews so far. So my assumption is that most of those are fake ratings by haters
When I open my Disney app using a VPN with Taiwan as my location, I can watch 17 episodes. I'm guessing/hoping…
I really hope so, but I wouldn't count on it. This week delay in airing already shows Disney has no clue how c-drama release schedules usually work. I'm just hoping they at least release daily, and not make us wait a week between episodes like all their other shows!

I think MR is available on Viki in some other countries, but I'm not exactly sure which ones.
