Why does it feel like people expect ML to not pursuit his own happiness and put his brother way ahead of everything else? I’m on episode 10 and I have yet to see anyone wholeheartedly tell him to take care of himself.
What did I just watch? End of episode 49 had me a little confused, but 50 kept me going “WTF?!” The beginning of the last episode was just trippy and mostly loaded with flashbacks and then the random hilarious product placements in the middle.
This drama had so much potential and for the most part was cute and gave off warm fuzzies. You just have to be BFF with your fast forward button to get through the slow moments, fillers And flashbacks.
Must they make the girl naive about love and attraction every time? I get that ML is aggressive, but it's pretty obvious that he likes her. She just gets pissed off as soon as she sees him. I know it was hate at first sight, but she has repeatedly admitted that he is always there for her and is good to her.
Also, how many guys are into her? I know she's all super kind with a side of spank, but there's not much more than that. She has one dude after another hitting on her and she is completely clueless about what they are doing? Come on now.
In other words, yet again, a drama that keeps disappointing me with a FL without some commonsense and understanding of the opposite sex and, worse, without any growth. At least ML, you see he is going back and forth between chilling the heck out and being a knucklehead. You can see the gears turning as he reflects on his actions. "My rash behavior has brought harm to your gentle soul..." (ep. 17) LOL
When do ML and FL get together? When does ML become a little less rough around the edges? Idk how to grit and forward through 50 episodes (I’m only on ep. 2 ^o^ ~hehe)
I can’t wait to watch this drama. I want to watch it now, especially after reading all these comments but I feel like I’ll die from waiting every week. Should I wait until mid-September to binge?
It wasn’t bad...it wasn’t good. Good fluff in between more serious/intense dramas. The ending could have been a little more... something after all that, but I guess I’ll leave it to my imagination. Into the next one.
Romance is not the central focus, the love triangle is there the entire drama, Soh Ah is ridiculously selfish throughout (I have no idea why ML likes her and is so loyal) and there is no confession and mutual liking until the last two episodes (really the very last). ML ends up with the only person that makes sense Yiseo. I’m serious when I say Soh Ah has no redeeming qualities.
There was no explanation of the ending. I know it’s fantasy drama and the audience is expected to suspend their disbelief but there still has to be some rules established for how things work and there was just no explanation.
Other than that, watch the drama for fluff - handsome ML and SL, cute couples and good dose of friendships/sisterhood. Definitely don’t go in taking it seriously or expecting normal wuxia level complexity or plot depth.
What am I watch at ep 20? I did not see this coming. Complete annihilation? Why aren’t they using their powers? What’s happening? (Insert mind blown emoji)
Oh. Can we please take the few minutes of ep. 16 and have a whole drama of Chef Park Bo Gum? Actually, we don’t even need FL, just Chef PBG.
I only agreed with Soo Ah on one thing without thought, which was her “daebak~” as PBG turned around. (Soo Ah was such a frustrating character and I just couldn’t justify her actions or thoughts.)
PSJ for the win. Seriously like when he’s a goofball, domineering CEO, or a broken man...just put him a drama and I’m there.
The show itself was moving without being super angsty and had a good flow. I had to forward once in a while when moment dragged out in the middle eps., but I enjoyed the characters enough that I wanted to watch most of the moments all the way through. They definitely used the romance as a justification of FL unquestioning devotion and support of ML and they also needed it to wrap a pretty ribbon on the ending, but otherwise, don’t expect much in that area.
I enjoyed it and loved watching the little family ML gained throughout and the strength and perseverance he showed.
Not rewatch worthy for me but will remain in my memory.

I needed to vent. Thanks.
