One things I have to say about this drama is I love how naturally their relationship developed. Just like many real life romances, it went from flirting, to one-sided advances, to hand holding and so on. They were a sweet couple. Kind of a slow burn but worthwhile
Episode 35...a little confused about his contract...
He signed a 10 year contract with Fischer’s manager. He can’t just get up and leave. Also, all this time FL stayed with him and he can’t stay back for her? More importantly, what kind of high achieving musician is he if he’s giving up these opportunities in France for an orchestra made up of not the best players? Maybe I’m expecting too much of this drama. It just became the typical romance and friendship drama. Almost done with this ish.
Serious issues in certain parts...let's talk episode 19-21...
Okay....this is really me just ranting because I enjoy watching this NGM drama. It was going well with a few issues here and there, but the more it goes on, the sloppier it is getting.
Why did Han Bit come out in plain sight? He is in hiding for so long and he doesn't take precautions to make sure his sister is not followed? He knows full well how dangerous the people he is deadling with and they probably wiretapped or something.
How is Seon Min Shik just walking around after he got transported to West Seoul Prison? Also, the guard that lets him out at night, wasn't he the same one involved with the drug scheme? How did he not get caught at that time? While we're at it, (Side note - how did SMS get out of the prosecutor's hands at that time?).
When someone is asked to watch someone, why do they do the worst job possible? Looking at you pharmacist chick!
How does NYJ not watch out for the cameras when taking Han Bit away? Or realize that he will probably be followed or tracked? He should have moved Han Bit after a day or two at his sister's place to throw bad guys off.
This is the longest game of tug-of-war. hahaha. Every other episode the upper hand changes. I'm happy every time NGM gets close to winning (or wins a round) but I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop. On episode 16 and watching it on and off at this point, but I hope it wraps up cleanly.
I have to say I'm over Seon Min Shik character. The actor has two modes - no expression or b^%ch face with that annoying slowly creeping smile. No one just sllllooowwwllyyy smiles like that EVERY-DANG-TIME! Once in a while, it would have been impactful acting, but doing it every time just make be annoyed seeing his character.
Let's keep going for NGM's sake. Ugh, why is he adorable to me even when he is being a badass? Or even a villain. <3
Cliché? Yes. Still amazing? YES! I loved ML and the chemistry was good. The kiss scenes were great. Legit kisses. I did skip a few parts with the annoying hang ups of SL - both the girl and guy, but otherwise, I enjoyed it.
I smell trouble brewing in episode 13. Please tell me annoying scar girl is not going to cause big trouble. Ugh!!!!
Does she stick around until end of drama or does it get resolved quickly? I was enjoying the angst free episodes after a couple of other dramas with angsty/annoying breakups toward the end.
I have gotten up to episode 7 and really enjoying it so far. I hope they keep this going and it doesn’t go downhill or fizzle out. Also Wei Lei as bff material! She’s a hoot. LOL.
This was a nice, fluffy drama with no unnecessary angst. You could totally relate to the feelings of the characters and no action was mind numbing - the character’s personalities lend to the action. I also appreciated that misunderstandings don’t go on for too long.
It started out better than the others and I liked how ML was not a complete jerk like the Korean version, but once Anna got on the scene, it went completely downhill. The kdrama did so much better with the FL’s growth. This one though the FL starts out indecisive and weak with no confidence and changes to strong with questionable facade of confidence while continuing to be indecisive. She kind of develops a petty edge and fails to consider other perspectives even after getting over any initial shocks.
Now add to that how long misunderstandings go on and the unnecessary drag over the same unchanging arc for the last 6-8 episodes, I wanted to kick my iPad/TV but only kept going for ML. I really like XZL. Hopefully his next drama won’t have so much unnecessary angst.
Ultimately, watch it but be ready to hit forward ALOT along with a few eye rolls and forehead smacks. Korean version (noble idiocy and all) is the winner here.
FL is an idiot. Idk why the character is written to have no common sense. My thoughts were sealed on episode 18. I feel badly for Jin Jin. She’s absolutely right. What kind of friend is FL? She knew SL initial feels, knew what he said at the press conference and knew Jin Jin’s feelings. ML took his friggin assistant and not some rando, there was no need for her to be so pissed. Ugh. I just can’t even.
Also, Ireine tends to overplay her rolls. She’s too childish which she needs to be especially careful about with her small stature. She already looks like every lead’s sister and she makes it worse with her overacting, whether it be her being happy as if she’s naive and a little looney or her “sad” tantrums.
