Went to your profile and saw The Wicked Game where one of the leads shoot the other twice at the back. You don’t find trying to kill someone disgusting as well?

I would understand if you just dropped the show and say it’s not for me but you had to call others who like red flag characters (without justifying their actions) as disgusting.

I wasn’t able to put down the novel when I read it. I missed work for a day just to complete it.. so I totally get why you don’t want to read it lol. The redemption arc for Fan Xiao is extended and covers almost one third of the 600+ page novel. This is one of the main reason why I was able to watch the show in the first place. I also don’t like this kind of characters in BL which is why I don’t like KinnPorsche Vegas and Pete storyline…

I expected this kind of reaction. But why are people expecting green flags from Chinese BLs. As if Chi Cheng didn’t let someone get gang r-worded in the first episode. It’s all red flags/black flags in these CBLs. From Duan (Kill to Love) to Hua Yong (ABO) to Chi Cheng (Revenged Love), all are red flags.. and TBH none of them have good redemption arcs like Fan Xiao in Four-faced Buddha..

It’s definitely a you problem coz Hao Yiran (Shulang actor) is amazing and he is a graduate from a top film school in China with 1% acceptance rating. Although this is Yun Qi (Fan Xiao) first acting job he is doing pretty good and for us novel readers he is staying true to the character of Fan Xiao..

They have not romanticised it TBH.. I won’t get into spoilers but don’t worry Fan Xiao will be punished for his crimes. He will suffer.

Honestly it’s just rich boy playing games. He wants to show that no one is actually that kind! He is a scumbag.
